Ok so the trailer for The Last Of Us Episode 3 is now out and throughout this video we're gonna be breaking down the new look. So far the show has given us an indepth look at some of the characters that we briefly got to meet in the game and this extra character development has really helped the audience see who these people are. For exampl episode 1 had a whole day in the life of Sarah and it seems like Episode 3 is going to be fleshing out way more than what we got in the source material.

Originally we met Bill in Lincoln and it was only after moving through the town that we discovered what happened to Frank. In this video we've got a lot to talk about but big spoiler warning if you haven't played the game and don't want to know what happens. Now the new look opens with Bill sat in front of some CCTV monitors. In the game you arrived in Lincoln to find it completely abandoned by humanity and all that was left was Bill who guarded over the town. He'd set up traps throughout it and after saving you from one of them you went to his home in the church. He said that there'd been a military caravan that had crashed in the town recently and you made your way out to it in order to steal a truck battery. Here you found that it had already been taken and with the infected swarming you you were forced into a school. After surviving a bloater you made it to the other side and travelled through a neighbourhood which is when you came across Frank.

@John Carl De los Santos It's still a vestigial element of the cordyceps. Remember it's only been evolving for 20 years in humans. My idea is that the spores alone just aren't strong enough to infect humans and get past our immune system, but the fungus still wants a nice dark damp moist environment where it's easy to move around and re-attach to the main mycelium forest and you can see that with the fungus around the dead body, trying to grow to find the forest. Cordyceps can infect ants with spores because they have no innate immune system. That's why they need to bite and spread by mycelia, because mycelia are much harder for the immune system to dismantle than individual spores.

Plus it is based on some studies and ongoing research that fungi mycelium have some sort of sentience as it is able to quickly respond and adapt to changes in its environments to preserve itself, it can spread to a different spot if its current spot is giving it some trouble. Fungi is also known in attaching itself to other fungi and plants forming a network where they can either be mutualistic, parasitic or both at the same time. Fungi have always been weird, they act like plants but functions like an animal.

This gives me flashbacks of one of the most frustrating parts of TLOU1: swinging upside down in "another one of Bill's stupid traps", trying to land a headshot on a runner, dying and then having to watch the cutscene/prompt over and over!

loved how the infected treated Tess differently because she was already bitten, firstly some of them didn't even recognize her and then putting the tendrils in her mouth seemed to be like an instinctive way to finish the process. Yet we haven't seen Ellie interact with Runners/stalkers yet, is that correct? Anyways only Clickers that attack anything that makes a sound regardless.

@First Last it’s just the Uber character role curse imo. Same way that Bryan Cranston or Jon K live eternally as WW and Jim. But, we have to give actors a chance outside of that to diversify and solidify themselves as great actors aside from their superior role. If they were great enough to nail those castings, which they were, then they’re good enough to nail lesser roles imo as well. I think he’s going to do great as Bill but that’s just my take on the whole thing.

Windows ME ...not 2000. Anyone who has to work with that operating system remembers that the ME stood for Maliciously Evil. That computer looks like it is running Windows 97. It was that share of teal. Much more stable operating system to ME. You had to reload ME at least every 6 months, if not sooner. They pushed the release date and it was buggy as heck. Bill would be the type not to trust the new operating system and would have been waiting for the better system of XP, which never came out in their world.

They definitely need to rework it as they did with the way that the infected are all connected as fungi are feeling things, and connectivity miles away. I thought that was very well done. Abby’s back storyline isnt all too necessary, but her as a driving factor for Ellie to regain her humanity by the ending of it is. So far they have done an amazing job and I have no doubt they’ll continue to do so. So all we can do is hope they make great changes to the overall storyline imo.
