Please cover Paradise regained as well. This story, and your coverage of it was wildly entertaining to the extent that I've watched this video four of five times at this point. I would watch a paradise regained video without a second thought.

Idk, I still think the devil is the better person in the story, not a good guy, but better than god. God made Satan and people knowing what would happen, knowing the suffering that would endure. I think that if you can't see paradise ever (bc u cant it is not possible, every single one of us has made a sin, and probably don't even remember when and what they acctually did), and you are condemned to eternal suffering, it is only fair that you get a chance to destroy the thing that made this all happen.

I’m late to comment but Wendi crying really got me. I wish more Christians and just general people of faith were like you man, humble and devoted to spreading a message of kindness and forgiveness above all else. Your story telling is incredible, and I can hear your passion and faith coming through so clear

Dude, you made it all seem so beautiful. I'm an atheist, but you don't hear people talking about Christianity this way. Perhaps if more did, they're be more believers. Beautiful story. It's very compelling to me emotionally and a part of me hopes it's true. Still for me it's a hard sell. Loved it anyway!

I spent my entire life as atheist. It wasn’t until I lost everything in my life and hit rock bottom when I surrendered to God to please take over. For if I continue I would surely end my own life. Rock bottom is where I was reborn anew. Rock bottom was where I truly needed to be so that I would give God a try. I had to lose it all to gain everything.

Completely agree with that. I’m agnostic and for a majority of my life everything involving religion was boring, negative, and outdated. I went to a Catholic high school and that was a breaking point for me, but I think if Christianity was taught like this, I’d definitely be more inclined to follow Christianity.

I almost cried at the part where Adam saw Eve with the fruit and the wreath falls to the ground. But the way it was immediately followed by SO SATAN AND ALL THE OTHER FALLEN ANGELS ARE BUILDING A CHAOS BRIDGE THEY'VE BEEN DOING THIS THIS ENTIRE TIME. My sides went into orbit.

To me, the most haunting thing from Paradise Lost that still disturbs me to this day is the imagery of Sin. Something I was hoping you’d bring up in your analysis of her character is that she is constantly giving birth to these canine monsters who, themselves, copulate with her to produce more and more of themselves in an eternally incestuous cycle. When I first read this, I felt it was meant to represent that the mind often falls in love with its own creations, “ideas”, and unless these ideas are presented to the wider world for scrutiny and discourse, then the idea will fall in love with itself and often spawn even more ideas solely off from its own imagined merits, but with each subsequent new idea becoming even more flawed and degenerated than the last. It’s a disturbing allegory of how bad ideas that are never brought to the light of day will fester and multiply unto themselves until nothing else can be done about it. What starts as a thought of pure beauty can, over time, degenerate into an overflowing cesspool of madness if you aren’t careful.

@Sofia Lafitte Exactly. I find that the parts of Christianity that are most beautiful are the parts that most Christians seldom embody. (Obviously excluding this guy, he seems like a really sweet, solid person,) In this way, the bible's warnings of false prophets, wolves in sheep's clothing, and emphasis on just how covert, cunning, and manipulative the devil is, it makes sense that no human being, regardless of their professed religion is free from the capacity for sin or evil. And the way you define sin, especially original sin, makes all the difference in the world. False prophets will attempt to convince believers that their sin is inherent as part of the human condition and that they need to be saved from it. The concept of original sin isn't that humans are born evil, it's that they're born with the capacity for evil. Newborn babies are entirely innocent and free of evil but they will grow into beings capable of committing evil acts. You also have to realize that what is preached as being evil/sinful and what is actually evil are often two totally different things. As Ghandi once put, "I like your Christ but I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike Christ." This is where the distinction must be made. We live in a world where religious leaders will tell children they're born inherently bad and sinful and convince people to fear and be ashamed of their own bodies and sexualities which are actually INHERENTLY divine while covering for pedophile priests and protecting abusers. THAT is not Christianity, that is pretty obviously the work of the Devil, or rather, it's the personification of humanity's capacity for evil. While these biblical stories almost certainly are not and cannot be literally true, their purpose is not to be literal history, but rather complex, ancient, allegories on the duality of man and the human condition/experience. Basically, if Christianity were practiced in a way that honored the divinity of man more than it condemned his capacity for evil, and if the majority of Christian institutions weren't so blatantly wolves in sheep's clothing, I might be a Christian. But then, I might be a member of all other religious groups at the same time, because ultimately, and when interpreted correctly, they all say the same thing because they are all allegorical mirrors of the human condition and experience. The meaning behind these allegories unfortunately is more often misunderstood and weaponized in the name of evil than they are interpreted correctly and ironically, this is precisely because of the very human capacity for evil that they describe and warn against. Premarital sex, homosexuality, masturbation, being born into a human body with all of its natural thoughts, desires, sensations, needs, and temptations is not inherently sinful, it's natural and part of our condition whether you believe we were designed that way or not. Real things like rape, murder, brutality, these things are truly evil and sinful. Our duality and capacity for evil is what gives us free will and what makes us divine, it doesn't mean we are tainted, it gives us choice which is the whole point in the first place. A lot of people unfortunately are terrified by the vast incomprehensible chaotic nature of the universe and by the nature of their own existence so they just want to be told what to do, and I feel like that is one of the major pitfalls of all organized religion. Organized religion has been hijacked by the evil and corrupt in order to control and manipulate the ignorant and the weak, and that is EXACTLY what the devil would do. And since the devil is just a symbol for human evil, it all makes perfect sense. The moral of the story is, whatever you decide to call yourself and whatever belief system you identify most with, be a good person for the sake of choosing light and compassion and love, not because somebody told you to, and beware of false prophets who would attempt to convince you that committing evil is necessary for the greater good, or that the divine light within you is actually evil.

It felt like Adam's lamentations to the tragedy of discovering Eve had partaken of the Forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge, the consequences of that action that ultimately made him rescind himself to Death, is like a wedding vow of pure unyielding love to his other half. Whole in life. Whole in death. It's like the concept of marriage had emerged for the first time. And it's tragically beautiful.

The most amazing thing about all this in my opinion is that Milton didn't "write" Paradise Lost; one of the greatest pieces of literature in the English canon: he was blind, so dictated the entire story to his daughters who wrote it down for him. This man had to imagine this entire thing and couldn't keep any notes or references, since he couldn't read what he'd written!

You really remind me of my great grandpa as a Christian. Like you he was not judgmental at all about non-Christians, and he used his faith as a conduit and motivation to help people (he would house alcoholics and homeless in his own home for free). He read the bible so much that when we inherited it it was completely frayed and to pieces. Apparently he had this way where if he felt lost in his life he would open his bible and close his eyes, put his finger to the page then read until he found personal meaning from the text. He always found it. He was the kindest person people around him said they had ever met, so much so I was named after him. I distinctly remember his funeral as young boy, how packed it was. It left a distinct impression on me, a life well lived is a life well remembered. If Christianity motivates you to live a good life, why should you not be a Christian? What reality you find in the text gives you real emotions, real ways to deal with problems and to be better. That sounds pretty real to me, regardless of historicity of the Bible itself.

And when you were recounting the tragedies that must occur for our salvation and your struggle to describe them without tearing up really speaks words. Anyone can call themselves Christian, but you can tell if someone is a full on Christian when they show true and 100% emotion, especially when learning and realizing the reality of the world and what has occurred and what will. @Names dont matter Gaming Definitely. I have sympathy and empathy for Satan. I also have sympathy and empathy for Nikolas Cruz. Like the great philosophers have understood thousands of years ago, if you put yourself in someone elses shoes and totally understand them it becomes impossible to hate them.
Names dont matter Gaming
I mean the descriptions of love and the way Adam and Eve interact is beautiful, and the angels love is also beautiful. But how can you not feel some level of sympathy for a child who just wants to surpass their parent? Everyone’s had that feeling before, while yes he’s a vile liar, that doesnt mean you cant understand what he’s going througb. It’s like wendigoon said, “I’m in the camp that’s it’s important to understand the enemy”

Exactly the same for me. As someone who used to be a hardcore atheist turned satanist, but now am Christian, I do my best to avoid fiction and media which paints Satan and evil in a sympathetic light. Sympathetic as in agreement with. With discernment I’m not going to be led astray by it but it’s often too disgusting to lend an ear to. I’ve experienced and dabbled in evil enough. Now I see that I was deceived by consensus, in truth Satan was only perceived as a sympathetic character in Paradise Lost by those who sympathized, agreed, with Satan. But I have always felt a certain level of sympathy with him in that I also feel the pain of sin and fall to it often, and I knew there had to be some drive to his actions against God. That’s as far as it goes and this story did a fantastic job of painting a picture of what he did and why.

@down right annoying This is just downright false. The civil war was Parliamentarian vs Royalist not Protestant vs Catholic, the King of England was a Protestant as were the majority of royalists, the puritans were crying because the Church of England wasn’t giving into more Puritan reforms and was keeping an Episcopacy along with other more High Church reforms brought in by Archbishop Laud. Catholics were already persecuted in England before the civil war, England had been Protestant since 1534 at the First Act of Supremacy and officially excommunicated under Queen Elizabeth I, King Charles was a Protestant and although Catholics sided with the King it was by no means a Protestant vs catholic conflict.

Hey Wendigoon, I have never enjoyed reading the comment section as much as I enjoy reading this one. I think it’s incredible that people, whatever their belief is, can come together and appreciate this story. Something I’ve always thought about personally is how incredible the stories in the Bible are. Yes, I do believe in God but I genuinely think whatever someone’s belief is, they can still enjoy the Bible. Even reading it from a fictional standpoint, the Bible has some Game of Thrones type storytelling lol. I just don’t like pushing the Bible onto people because that’s incredibly annoying Im sure. Because it probably comes across as “oh you don’t believe in God?! Well read the Bible and then tell me what you think, you sinner!!” And my goodness, I think that’s so annoying and terribly frustrating. But reading the comment section here, it’s awesome that people can just enjoy this story for what it is and draw their own inspirations and feelings from it.. without the pressure of someone preaching to them. Would you ever consider breaking down some Bible stories in this style? Because, again, you tell stories so well without making anyone feel like they HAVE to believe in God. And seriously, there’s some really kick ass stories that are truth for me but would make an awesome fictional story for someone else. The Bible offers sooo much more that anyone could find something other than faith. It’s a great piece of literature. It makes me sad that certain people use the Bible to fear-monger or use it to belittle others OR use it to push their own selfish agenda. Because like I said, no matter what you believe in or do not believe in, the Bible is pretty f*cking awesome and it would be nice to have you tell some stories from it in this video style. NOT to push belief’s onto other but to just tell a cool story, like this one.

It makes me so incredibly sad hearing the story of Eve's downfall explained in this way. I know the whole concept of free will is the reason God didn't intervene, but it seems so unfair when you realize she had no understanding of deceit or trickery. It really is a tragedy in every sense of the word. It's like telling a young sheltered child there is a bad guy that will come for them, without letting them know that bad guys don't always look bad

Gabriel is an actual G for that line of words bro. actually destroyed Satan in the roast. Also, the way Adam responds to God is so "Human" as we know. just annoying and unable to find fault in their self, misdirecting. Also, the end segment is really interesting to me, i had a talk with my friend recently about this, people following the word of the devil over Gods word. To consider Satans words logical or sympathetic is beyond idiotic. He is the worst of the worst, the one who started your despair and pain, he is the reason for all of it... and you want to follow his word? bit weird man idk.

It’s not stupid, I get it honestly, but yeah he’s the cause of it, but that’s like saying “War and weapons wouldn’t exist if cavemen didnt stupidly learn to make fire” like yeah but not really?? It’s pretty clear that us humans are just as at fault

Parts of this story are genuinely infuriating and saddening, i came here from a series of history videos, im in love with knowledge and whatnot but it gets tiring sometimes, its how you know its art, the envoking of raw emotion and sympathy, then disgust and hatred. if this was a story a single man wrote this book deserves an award. But i guess this is more adult content so i could definitely be watching something else, ever since i was little ive gravitated toward adult topics, debate, social rights, and beleifs i find it enriching it just reels you in, entertaining too.

What makes Satan seem like he could be the 'good guy' is not that people want the power of God, it's the rejection of servitude and the moral dilemmas Satan faces in this portrayal that are appealing I'd think. He's a lot easier to relate to than the angels or God in this story because we've also experienced envy, pride, and catastrophic mistakes in our lives.

This was extremely profound and yes, beautiful. I was under the same notion as most of the fools say of this story being protag eboy Satan. I was pleasantly surprised however! This has affected me as well, I am very impressed with the story of humanity and all the psychology and character of both men and angels. I wrote down several good quotes as I listened, thank you for condensing this epic story. I sincerely appreciate your work here and with all your work ❤

Man, you're the only one who can sell me biblical stories in a way that has me genuinely invested and wanting to hear more. No preaching, no judgment, just your passion for the story and how it affects you personally, as you approach it from all these philosophical perspectives, and it's just so genuine that I can't help but be on board. I left organized religion years ago (I was raised catholic) and at this point I'm just kind of a spiritual whateverist based on whatever feels meaningful to me, but revisiting the biblical stories with you is almost kind of nostalgic. Reminds me of my grandma, who's really into angels (yet not so much into christianity as a whole, it's mostly... angels laced with new age spiritualism). Angels and demons and the genesis/exodus story have always been my favorite parts of the christian religion when I was a kid, so it's nice to revisit it from a different perspective.

@funneling space 1: I don't think tala is a "bro" , likely female. 2: the apostles were Jewish, Paul's Jewish name is saul. 3: what tangent? I answered here question, then she kept bugging me saying I "have not ". So I answered it again in a more detailed comment for her to understand what I was saying the first time. 4: the victim? I don't acting or trying to act as a victim in this comment chain. Have no idea where you get that idea from. I grew up Christian and one of the things I remember hearing that has stuck with me even as I've disavowed the faith, is the one time in primary school, our class of 5-8 year olds is having a sunday school lesson, and one of the kiddos asks "where's Jesus' mom?". Our primary school teacher simply said, without pause or blink "because god would rather sinner's use his name to promote bad things than to hear the heavenly mother's name taken in vain". And in Paradise Lost, like you touched on multiple times, there's a reverence to women and AFABs, a love and respect given to them that I think is lovely and endearing, and honestly I felt myself tearing up over a couple times in the video. But that is lost in today's Christian faiths, if not all than the vast majority, and has been lost for a long long time. One of the main reasons I left the church, left the whole faith, was seeing the way leaders and normal members of the congregation would speak of respect and then turn around and say the most rude and disrespectful shit to my mother and sister. With total cognitive dissonance too. If someone has to remind others what should be "natural", it is not natural. Women are not "naturally" submissive, and no I don't take criticism or feedback on that. On another note. I don't believe Satan was a good guy, nor do I believe that he was written to be, but it does give me pause. After all, if we're god's creation, and god has all the omni's, then he created us knowing Satan would rebel, created us knowing the fruit would be eaten, created us with the knowledge of which of us would sin and which wouldn't. And he absolutely would know if he had all the omni's, that's how those work. So I ask myself, is he benevolent? Is he just? And I come to the conclusion, within myself, that if god has all the omni's, he is not due my worship as he is a cruel god; if he doesn't have all the omni's then... I don't know, I think I could worship a fallible god. I mean, not the narcissist I read of in the bible, not the jealous god he calls himself, not the god who calls for sacrifices in order to forgive sin, which if he was truly so powerful, why can he not forgive without a sacrifice? How does it make sense that one must atone for a crime against a god? How are we, as measly as we are, capable of committing a crime against an all mighty god? And lastly, I've always been really fond of Satan's name in and of itself. "Satan" meaning challenger, a person who disputes the truth of or places themselves in opposition to something. While it has morphed into negative connotations, I don't think there's anything wrong with challenging anything. Challenge your perceptions of others, challenge your ideas of the status quo, challenge science and theology and power and law, challenge reality, challenge permanency. If we never challenge, we sit in complacency; we never grow, never learn, never strive for anything better. Of course you can always challenge something and find it to be true, like climate science, it's proven itself true time and time again against deniers. I challenger coworkers everyday, on a variety of subjects, from pre-conceived notions about social issues, to the necessity of a workplace system. Sometimes what I challenge is correct, but that's not a failure, it's knowledge gained. It's worthwhile honestly.

One question, out many I have, about the consistency of this story, it was said that there can only be love if there is free will. How is it then possible to predict the future? 🤔 Sounds like a…well not a plot hole, but contradictory to the beginning of the story. 🤔

*So i surprisingly watched basically this entire thing, it was entertaining, i enjoy studying culture/religion, this had me questioning some things, people who are religious say you should never question anything about it but if you never question anything youd never know anything, youd never know whats actually correct. has me thinking wasnt there a better way tom solve this like people are essentially purified so couldnt this guy just have gotten the same..? Unless death on Earth was supposed to happen, by the logic of this story this couldve all been avoided and it was just allowed to happen in a gruesome way. it has me wondering f theres anything out there besides serving for eternity, like theres no alternative and perhaps thats what their goal originally was, but then like how in the story he kinda went from a mountain to a serpent his ideology went from potentially heroic to evil and unproductive. (From the concept of a different type of heaven thats ot just serving away for eternity, and being able to like self govern somewhere else providing freedom, like an actual revolution, then to just wanting to destroy something that wouldve essentially been that but just for the living i guess.)It went from a genuine political ideology that gained followers, an entire 3rd of heaven to be exact to degeneracy and just wanting to destroy something, a true fall from grace.*

@iPeed I’m extremely invested in Christian stuff, been raised with it, and even then I think it’s even more horrifying in comparison to your average Greek god rape story, because such an omnipotent guy who knows what will happen anyway (despite all the free will claims) is just such a power imbalance in contrast to a human.

I like how instead of portraying the devil as just 100% inherently evil creature they portrayed them more accurately, as someone who thought they were in the right originally, driven by selfishness, not a large horned monster, a person with actual emotion but corrupted by their own arrogance, gone down a rabbit hole into what then became that kind of monster, they were all angels, once. A more human approach.

@The Hypest No, I'm working on what the truth is. Christians are called to treat people well, to rise above our base instincts and urges, to master our emotions and not give in to rage, jealousy, or hatred. We're called to do many things, none of which are traumatic. So therefor it someone is doing something that is un-Christianlike but calls themselves a Christian, it stands to reason that they aren't Christians. That's like saying someone is a vegan just cause they claim to be, even as they eat a steak while they say it. It makes no sense.

Really interesting and greatly made video! My problem with the whole knowledge tree is that though God gave Adam and Eve a choice and free will, he didn't tell them everything about their options and what would be their consequences. They didn't even know what death is and he told them that would be their punishment! And he didn't even tell Eve ir Adam to look out for lies and deceit from Satan. He just had them know that Satan will come and to beware him. He didn't show them how he looks like, didn't tell them he could shape shift and they didn't even knew it was possible to not be speaking truthfully. So no matter what, they couldn't make an informed decision. He set them up for failure from the start. Not even talking about how he is omniscient, so he knew beforehand what Adam and Eve and Satan will do and he also knew what he would have to do to prevent it from happening. And why did he allow for Satan to grow jealous and powerhungry anyway? Since he's omnipotent, he shouldn't have a problem with ensuring that heaven stayed intact, that not one soul there would think anything harmful...

This was absolutely amazing. Easily my favorite video you've ever made, Isaiah! And that's saying something, cause I pretty much love most if not all of them. Had me getting pretty darn choked up towards the end myself! It's a beautiful epic. One I've put off actually reading for the longest time and after watching this, I'll be doing so immediately. In regards to what you said about the whole perceived notion by so many people that Satan is somehow the good guy in PL or is portrayed as being the one in the right? I think that actually speaks more to the type of individuals making that supposition, if that makes any sense? I think they're more likely to view him in that light if they recognize, either consciously or subconsciously, certain traits in him and his character that they recognize in themselves. Just my thoughts on it! Much love from a fellow brother in Christ! God bless you and yours! Peace!

@brog Not really, there's no written records of him saying that especially after his death. The apostles weren't looking for gentiles. The gentiles came to them because they were fascinated by Jewish culture and god fearing. This surprised paul. If I remember correctly Isiah prophecy was more focused on the state of isreal.

@Happy Mate Jesus himself said "go out and make disciples of all the nations" (Matthew 28:19-20) specifically wanted his followers to share the gospel and to teach others, as far back as isaiah God was saying "I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.” (Isaiah 49:6) Gods love should be shared to all people and he urges us to do so.

I used to think Paradise Lost was about e-boy Satan learning to love humans from his time in Eden and making the sacrifice so that they would be forgiven for eating the fruit he tempted them to eat in the first place. I don't know why I found that narrative compelling but I think listening from you the actual story it helped me understand better the role of Satan as irredeemable evil, it is a creature who cannot change because of what it represents in it's status in relation to humanity, not really the "Dark" to God's "Light" but more of a Shadow that hides from The Light that is the good within. (Yes, I'm not a very bright apple to be figuring this out just now) I found interesting that throughout the video I just found myself tracing back the blame for absolutely everything that's happened to God Itself, an omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent being who saw everything that would come from making things and beings yet still created them, only makes me wonder why in the first place? Every move it could make would lead to the creation of Sin, Pain, Suffering and whatever else that came from respecting the free will of It's creations, in a sense if all that could be seen if It created things was that they would develop down this road, I wonder why go through the trouble in the first place? Beings won't resent being given a chance if they never existed in the first place, could God feel lonely? Does It need sentient beings to exist for It to be whole? I wonder if these things are intentionally ambiguous, or if they're senseless to ask since it's all about metaphor and understanding the human condition through fables and tales and superior beings with powers beyond human comprehension, focusing on the smaller details is exactly how human religion ruled through the fear of The Sky Man when all that ever mattered was overcoming our demons through the power of compassion, love, and the inherent possibility of good within every one of us which God the being is meant to embody, maybe in the end what makes it to be true is that it resonates in our hearts because of the powerful essence such a narrative can carry, kind of like music. It's either all a well elaborated scheme, or an universal truth I think.

This story sounds so overwhelmingly emotional at points, and I loved many concepts you explained. As always, an impressive and informative video. Lots of love from Argentina 🇦🇷

Even as a non religious person I absolutely love these breakdowns and seeing how much this means to you makes it even better. I really do enjoy learning about these things and since I'm generally too busy to read them myself this is the next best thing.

@Logan what do you mean "constantly have to tell everyone"? This is literally a video breaking down stories involving religion, lol. There's zero reason for you to randomly get all condescending. Besides, there's value in acknowledging you enjoy these stories even if you aren't necessarily religious, especially considering the vast majority of people watching a video like this are probably religious themselves. Also keep in mind Wendigoon himself brought up how he was personally a Christian, which he said does shape his perspective, so as the video creator he probably does appreciate that even the non-religious people that watch him still very much enjoy this content. Just saying.

Understandable, I do love learning about these things in general. As a spiritual person from a a religious family, i just love exploration of information in general. Whether if someone is religious or not , if they love learning and exploring something, it will always be enjoyable and educational for them to learn about things regardless of origin.

@AlSteWal It seems as though not only have they never read the bible. But they've never in all their years of life attempted to read any kind of literature regardless of origin. Stop signs are lost on them.

I am an atheist but I can acknowledge that this is a beautiful and tragic story. You tell it splendidly 💖 Thank you for all the time and care that you put into your content 🥰

I’m atheist but I truly loved this video! I watch a lot of biblical videos with the perspective of it being completely fiction and it’s very interesting and entertaining. You told the story so well!

It’s not bad to cry in a YT video if you believe In this stuff. I don’t believe in these things but the stories are still enjoyable and I love how you definitely put your love and care into telling these stories. I respect that. Never think it’s dumb to cry about this stuff. If you like it, then you like it. ‘Nuff said

Brother don't you dare apologize for crying! This story is beautiful and made even more so by your telling of it. Crying in TRvid videos does come off as "cringe" sometimes but it all depends on the context. You put tears in my eyes friend and and I'm not at all ashamed or embarrassed about admitting that. As always...thank you for all that you do. You're the man Mr. Goon!

When he cries its based, when others do it its cringe. Plus he's crying at words on paper so I automatically trust him more

@Ryan The comfort part made me shed tears of joy, I felt happiness when I heard it. It may not be accurate to the texts, but even as a portrail it was beautiful and comforting.

This is my favorite video you've done yet! This is really just a tragically beautiful story that, to a true christian, shows the love of God and our soon to come and then everlasting struggle for redemption through Christ.

Man, that’s a lot to think about. You did a fantastic job summarising things up! I cried miserably on the pure love, that is seen though the storyline.

The way you characterized and narrated and interpreted how Adam loved Eve so much that he chose certain doom just not to lose her made me tear up. Im agnostic (born catholic) but these interpretations of yours are all very moving. It made me tear up. The same way I teared up when you described how Dante loved Beatrice after he gets to her in Dante's Inferno and how Beatrice prayed for a man and how Dante was that man. Great video as always

@ily It's not really a controversy or choosing one over the other. This is just expanding on the original, not a replacement. You can freely say "I accept this as the truth," "I don't like this at all," or "I like these parts and not these ones." Whatever seems right to you.

this is gonna sound controversial, but i like this story better than the original. in the original bible, the story of adam and eve is kinda vague. you can see a lesson, sure, but something in it is missing. i feel like this story fills in those gaps, and same could go for satan aswell.

I agree. There's a phenomenal bible study teacher named Chuck Missler that goes line by line through the bible and will spend like 20 minutes on just a single sentence giving background and all kinds of info. It's like a college class lol. But he was showing how the bible says Eve was deceived but Adam was not. If Adam wasn't, why would he eat the fruit? Because he loved Eve so much he'd rather share her fate than live without her. I was like dang, that's so powerful.

Oh right forgot ppl would get forced to be baptised… But then again if you don’t believe in it wouldn’t that be inconsequential?
