Fun fact about the Berlin Wall: there was a man who tricked the Soviet border guards every day and they never noticed. This man was a smuggler and every single day when he would ride his bike across the border he would have a bag filled with sand that he knew the guards would inspect. The guards would in fact inspect the suspicious bag but upon realizing the bag was filled with sand, they let him cross the border, never knowing that he was actually smuggling bicycles.

2:15 fun fact there were three conferences during and after the Second World War the frist one was at Terhen (November 1943) which were between Franken Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and Josef Stalin and they while allies were still distrusting with one another and the only reason why they were ailled with each other was because they had a common enemy Hitler and Nazi Germany The second conference was held at Yalta February 1945 which since they were achieving the upper hand With the war they were discussing on how to punish Germany The third and last conference was at Potsdam which had changed the main cast of people as Rosavelt was switched over to Harry Truman as he passed away and Truman was a hard line anti-communist and the day before the conference he launched the atomic bomb that landed on Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the intention of gaining the upper hand in the discussion but it just led to rising tensions between the USA and the Soviet Union

This is really where Oversimplified was at its peak in my opinion. It's the sweet spot where the production value was getting really good while the humour is subtle and doesn't take over. In the following videos the quality kept increasing, but the humoristic elements started to take over too much and become over the top. War of the Bucket and Henry VIII are good examples of this. But this is just a minor grievance and the videos were still really awesome. However, starting with the Pig War it's just gotten too over the top for me, at the level where I can't take it seriously anymore and it feels as if it's made for viewing in elementary school classes. They also spend so much time on unnecessary things like drawn out humour that the videos become too long, and they don't get very much across in that span of time. The two videos for the entire Cold War is around 30 minutes long, whereas the video of the Pig War (a relatively obscure and frankly uninteresting war) is almost 40 (!!!) minutes long. It just doesn't make sense and it would be so much better if they cut down on the really unnecessary stuff, and instead focusing more on quick, subtle and effective humour that made this channel stick out and become popular in the first place. It would not only make the videos better, but also allow them to produce more videos and cover a wider range of topics.
