Alright so a brand new Scream 6 trailer dropped yesterday, and my lord, Ghostface. Hitting up the big Apple. My dudes gonna be like “Ehhhh I’m killing here”. But yeah, there is a lot to unpack, so in this video we’re going to cover the new footage we got, new characters that show up, along with why the heck Ghostface is now living in a New York studio apartment.

But with all of that out of the way, a huge thank you for clicking this, I’m your host Jared, the Scary Movie of the Heavy Spoilers channel, now let’s get into Scream 6.

“This isn’t like any other Ghostface”

Alright so kicking things off, Scream 6 changes things up, with the surviving members heading off to college in the concrete jungle where dreams are made of. However the Carpenter sister’s PTSD appears to be following right behind, as they are chased into a bodega, by someone wearing a Ghostface mask. Now this one differs from later ones in the trailer. This one looks worn, a bit older, kinda like how Micheal’s mask was decrepit looking in the 2018 Halloween rebootquel, so it could be an original.

Clearly it looks like he or she is after the Carpenter sisters, as Ghostface gives this man the business, and narrowly dodges incoming shotgun fire from the store clerk. Instead turning the weapon back on him, and this is such a badass image of a weathered Ghostface packing some serious heat. There is a clever disclaimer on the pillar to the right stating “No exchange or refund on phone cards” referencing Ghostface running out of all of those prepaid minutes asking people about their favorite scary movies.

The two sisters try to sneak away, but some broken glass gives away their location. This could all be a complete misdirect, and just be a robber in a random mask they found. Honestly the police probably show up right after this and smoke the fool.

We then get a voice over from Sam Carpenter talking to someone. I’m assuming it’s her new college roommates or potentially sorority sisters about her fleeing from California, being Billy Loomis’s daughter, but also how the evil of Ghostface has followed her across the county, and how they are in danger too.

I think the scene of Sam holding the ghostface mask is at the very end of the movie. She has a bandaged right bicep, as well as her hair is completely matted with blood, her shoulder strap from her shirt is blood stained, as well as her hands. This is after everything she finds the old worn mask. I think this killer gets away at the end and leaves this for her.

I definitely think its a cult of overly STAB-obsessed killers because I remembered Amber during the third act mentioning about how she was radicalized by movie fans which are “very mad” and that she just wanted to be a “part of something”. I believe Amber and Richie were like their pawns to jumpstart their big plan and also, there was a scene in the trailer in the theater most probably taking place during the third act where in Sam’s background, it shows like it’s screening something like a film and I believe that’s the cult’s version of the ‘perfect’ STAB movie.

Number if you watch the first scream movie right few last how's the movie when Billy is upstairs with Sydney and Billy this bending telling Sydney his not the killer right then stu opens the door behind him and Sydney scream watch out Billy behind you when he turns and gets stab by stu then stu cleans the knife with his hand some way in Thriller of scream 6 ending scene when gale gets the call from Ghostface but before that Ghostface grabs someone pulls him and kills him with the knife then he cleans it just like stu did in the bed scene whan Billy gets stab by stu and stu cleans the knife with his hand watch killer clean it the some way carefully watch it its stu his back and his not die or is one of his kids ok believe Me OK plz watch both scene from the from first one to the gale one plz pay attention plz that's how you know it's stu ok

The 'there's never been one like me before' could mean two things. It's either an obsessed crazed fan of the actual killings who has this shrine and collected all these items from previous killers to study up on them so they could recreate the crimes but also get away with them, because they have done so much research or it's a previous killer (PLEASE STU) who has also done research and been watching behind the scenes for years waiting for the right moment to strike. I love the angle of a cult and I also think that maybe this will be the first one where the killer gets away or doesn't die/get captured at the end. I think we will get a reveal which is when Sam ends up with the mask where you see her bloodied hands, but they manage to get away and leave the mask behind for her. Stu would be fitting since he was connected to Billy, her father. Based on the trailer I have very high hopes. I just want the killer in this one to be sentimental to us Scream fans and not just introduce new character like S5 for them to be revealed as ghost face. If that happens I want there to be an interesting story like someone super obsessed with true crime that they take on the position of ghost face. But we'll have to see I guess. Here's to hoping.

I hope its either a returning killer like Stu leading some cult or a returning survivor who was so messed up by one of the previous sprees that they became obsessed with all five and made this shrine/followed the rest of them to New York. Totally fine if they recruit one of the new characters but I really hope at least one Ghostface is a returning character this time around, I think it's finally time we get that!

It makes sense that it would be Stu. In all of the previous screams the costumes and masks were new except for this one meaning it could be his original mask that he has been wearing all this time helping these wannabe ghost face killers😵‍💫 Think about Michael Myers and how his mask changed over time and how Halloween and Scream have always given each other nods within their movies. I don’t want Stu to be behind it, but I think it would be cool if Stu was alive and finally being let out of prison. He is a different person now, 40 years old, medicated, years of therapy, stayed quiet and did his time. Now he wants to put this all behind him and fade into obscurity. But the media gets wind of his release and all the crazy, obsessed fans of both the Stab movies and the actual murders are activated and harassing him. The new killers first try to win his affection, but he rejects them and becomes a target himself. I want to see Stu join the cast as one of the Ghostface survivors.

@Paul davis since the original writer had plans to bring back Stu in early versions of the Scream 3 script, it is more than reasonable to presume that Stu was intended to have survived his injuries. Stu’s fate was left intentionally ambiguous.

I think the fact that they are using the Friday the 13th “cha cha cha” at the end is a hint that Sam possibly could be the killer much like Jason is the son to Pamela Voorhees, Sam is the daughter to Billy Loomis. I believe she uses someone to help her in this whole process.

There's one more horror movie character referenced in that subway car, and I'm very happy she's included: MYA!!!! 10:38 from Rob Zombie's Halloween II (2009), played by Brea Grant. A small but gorgeous easter egg, and I thank them for it. And maybe, just maybe, the girl behind that girl in gold is a reference to Laurie Strode in the same movie.

I think the killers have something to do with the McKenzie family, the neighbors to Casey Becker mentioned in SCREAM (1996) and to whom Liv (SCREAM 5) belonged to. Samara Weaving is her sister.

I really want it to be Stu. Everyone overlooked him as a killer so he could be makin up for that and trying to outshine Billy. Then again, if it’s someone else related to Billy. I always think it ties back to the original killers. The cult idea sounds good though. This one looks promising. Gale dying and one of the twins too possibly. Kirby btr survive.

Go back to the first movie where stu and the group is sitting out front of the school on the cobble stone looking Birm. Stu is wearing blk boots that resemble the boots that Ghostface is wearing in the trailer. Idk if there's any connection there but. I find it interesting that no one has touched on the fact that the main character is holding the ghost face mask between her jacket. I feel like its gonna be a shocking twist that the main character had a mental break and has been killing people and her holding the mask with the jacket is her finding it hidden inside the jacket. So then all of this plays out like Fight Club.

I think it's the Detective (Dermot Mulroney) and is related to Stu somehow and has a young new male character helping him in these murders. The detective has access to shotguns and all the evidence to have that "shrine" to Ghostface! I think that seems pretty obvious but the last 2 Screams were obvious with the killers.

The Franchise has a history of giving clues as to who did it in their trailers. In scream 1 they cut a scene where Billy Loomis says ‘it’s me’ when he’s climbing through Sydney’s window. So look for subtle clues like that…..

Before I watch this can I already comment I REALLY want Kirby Reed to survive. Scream 4 was my favorite and Kirby Reed was my favorite character next to Sidney & Gale. Not having Sidney is going to be weird but I'm so so so glad they brought back Kirby. SO GLAD.

I feel like it would be reasonable for Stu to be the head killer in this movie. He was overshined by Billy and just looked at as his sidekick. Maybe he is trying to get his redemption.

@PRDR KING Well, I always had a feeling that there was more to it with Stu. Throughout the franchise, when Billy gets brought up, it's always in a past tense, but when Stu gets brought up, it sounds more like in a present. Especially when Liv asked who Stu Macher was, Dewey said, He's Billy Loomis accomplice and a real looney toon. So if Stu Macher really is alive, I would imagine that they do know about

It would be awesome if it's Stu being the full circle of Ghostface. Because in the final act of Scream, he's the one that mentioned to Sidney, "Everybody dies but us. We get to carry on and plan the sequel, 'cause-let's face it, baby-these days, you gotta have a sequel." So if it is Stu, who's the main killer who knows, maybe Stu is sticking with the origin plan 🤷‍♀️

But how would him surviving been completely unknown by the rest of the world? Because I'm sure that events from the 1st movie made headline news? but even if it hadn't, Gale is nosey asf and definitely would've heard about it. Which is why I'm kinda against that plot point UNLESS they have a great explanation for it.

Matthew Lillard is one of my favorite actors so I would love him to be in this but I would also love to see a Dewey surprise, I know that he technically died in 5 but I'll believe that when I see the body go through a chipper. But, I also would love to see the (admittedly faulty) theory that Dewey is the major mastermind behind everything.

im going opening weekend so im so hyped for this moive i love Scream!! if stu comes back ima be screaming in my chair lol the fact that this is probably going to be a Ghostface cult just makes me more excited for this movie but the people i think will be ghostface is sam and stu but sam doesn't know she is doing the killing. thats why tara gives her that look in the trailer and i don't think gale will die i think there just teasing us and with the room with something from every scream is just a great detail well thats it i can't wait to come and look at this comment after i see the moive Good night everyone.

The scene when Gail is talking to Ghostface on the phone and ghost is using the iconic voice changer listen to when he says "theirs never been one like me gail" now go back to scream 1 and listen when stu talks to it and says "surprise Sydney" each character with the voice changer sounds different in tone and everything it sounds like Mathew Lillard talking I'm the voice changer it has to be I'm sure of it idk 🤷‍♂️

The writer of the original scream movies said Stu is in fact dead. Also this ghostface tells Gale “there’s never been one like me before” in he trailer. It’s going to be a character we’ve never seen before.

A great moment would be someone or the whole group going back to the main shrine room and all the Ghostface outfits are gone, meaning nine killers are stalking them. Going with the cult, this could be their way of blooding/initiating their new members. it'd be a helluva twist for Sam to kill them all.

Now this is a long shot, but hear me out. Now if it is a cult, then what if the leader is Sam's Mom. Now remember from 5 when Tara was talking to Ghostface and he/she brought up "group"! What if Tara and Sam's mom formed a group of Ghostface. I mean she's no where to be found when her daughter(s) are almost killed and If she was in love with Billy, then making a shrine of him and the rest of the Ghostface would make sense. Now in all the previous screams there is reson for why the killers did what they did (stupid or not), so for the legacy to hold up there would have to be a reason for this as well. The scene where Sam has a gun she's infront of a screen where old Ghostface seem to be recorded when making calls so it has to be somone of appropriate age to get all the previous Ghostface.

I hope at in the beginning of the movie we learn that Stu has escaped/disappeard from prison/mental institution… and people getting killed so everyone think its him behind this and a partner… but at the end Stus dead body is found, and the killer is someone related to the scream 1s victims… and the ones getting killed in scream 6 are fans who had written love letter to Stu while he was locked in.

All I want is for everyone in the theatre to make that shocked sound followed by cheers and 👏🏼 claps when they reveal the killer(s)! I really need that when I go to the theatre omg it would be epic. I just want that shocked wow factor not like 4 or 5 they were total crap in my opinion as far as why they were Gf. 12& 3 at least made sense .. it was all because of maureen.

Stu would be interesting, but Ghostface's facility with a gun suggests someone on the force. A different suggests someone conversant with city life. Yeah, there probably is more than 9ne Ghostface.
