I think instead of glow pigment, I would have just added dim LED strip lighting under the resin piece. It would shine through the resin and be a nightlight you could turn off and on.

Here’s a little tip - something that I’ve learned from my own experience working with resin: if you get just a little bit of resin on your fingers, instead of pulling out the rubbing alcohol or acetone , you can clean it up with hand sanitizer

AHHHHH Thank you so much for this! My husband and I are starting a furniture refurbish company along with my epoxy tumblers and memorial art. I was just telling him the other day that we can do resin tops on the dressers or tables instead of refinishing some of the wood ones!!! This makes me happy and I am so stoked that they glow. I use glow powder in some of my tumblers so this was neat to see that modern twist on a classic look!!!

I really love the way your results turned out and that they glow. The yellowness of the glow powder actually adds to it because most White marble has varying degrees of yellowness in it. The only thing that stops IT from looking like a real marble is the fact that the sides don't match the top. If you had taken the tops off the stands made a frame around it and poured it so that the marble went over the sides of the edge you could probably be more realistic looking.

The slight yellow of the glow powder worked pretty well, because it helped cancel out the blue in the black powder dye, giving you more of a warm gray color. Color theory! Science! Well done!

The benefit of resin is that they can add a clear coat to cover any dents and sand it down repeatedly. They won’t have to change the top to repair it.

I had an idea! What you could try is just doing one thicker slab of resin marble. Then, after it’s cured, slice it depth wise so you can have similar/identical slabs for each side table. Just like they do when the split marble slabs to have matching patterns. Just a thought…awesome vid as usual

Awesome results! It's a bit hard to tell, but if those are IKEA or other flat pack/self assembly furniture, which they look a bit like, you should be able to remove the top board to both make it easier to pour the resin, and you could also replace it with real wood. The double tape and plastic was a great idea that really paid off though, but before you revealed that it really worked, I kept on thinking that you should have disassembled them.

For my marble countertops I used white and gray marble effect spray paint over a mostly white resin design. Then sealed it. Looks awesome. You could use the black to get the darker look. I sprayed it directionally, not everywhere.

Omg I really love this one. Just have to be that buzzkill tho- anyone doing resin homewares please remember that resin off-gasses for months so if you don’t want to be breathing in toxic fumes while you sleep, please don’t put it in your room straight away!
