These are very tempting for me as a speed boot aficionado. It checks out a lot of the things I look for. Like a deep lacing system, snug comforting fit, good heel lockdown, and a thin premium barefoot feel. Adding the flexible and natural feel. I’m torn between these and the yellow Vapor 15 Elites.

I loved these boots, and I had them for about 5-6 months before I had some serious problems with the durability, as it started to overstretch and rip around my big toe, and I started to see some notorious PUMA sole separation after around 6 months of usage. So if anyone is looking for their boots to last longer I wouldn't put these in 1st, however I did love them.

Just started playing again after a bad knee injury in ‘19 and am looking for the updated version of the evoSPEED 1.2’s that I wore back then (and loved). Wasn’t sure where to start, being so far removed from that generation of boots. I think ur vid helped answer the question. 👍

Hey noah, first of all big thanks on the content love your work. Im a bit light on the old funds these days and a speed boot that can do fg and ag safely seems to be criminally under rated. Esp for us with weak baby ankles. My question is tho, how about other puma ag soles? have you done much testing with the future or legend on an ag pitch and would you make the same comment that its fine on ag?

Spot on review heel lockdown is great but just too aggressive for my liking. Causing me too much heel pain even after breaking in. Definitely going to try get a refund and switch to either Vapors or maybe furons. Great video

altrought my life I always used classic leather boots, but two months ago I bought the puma ultra from the fearless pack to try new sensations. At first they feel too plastic and the heel is very tight but after using them all this time the upper became more like a nice rubber and the hardness in the heel has disappeared, the way they wrap the foot is spectacular, you feel the agressive traction and the responsiveness. my only complaint would be the touch with the ball due to the upper, i prefer something more paded, but it is because of my habit of using leather boots. I am more than happy with them and am considering buying another pair.

Just got these a couple of days ago. I love the fit and feel of them but I'm having some trouble with the toe box. The size I have has almost 0 toe space but the cleats still feel ok on my feet. How much toe space did u have with them? Would you recommend going half a size up?

I didn't have much space in these or either of the NB boots from this past year. Didn't ever give me issues, it's just a small difference in their sizing! So long as it doesn't cause pain it's all good

I’m struggling to see if I should try a different speed boot I used the 1.4s and loved them but maybe if I switched to a different with slightly thicker material I would help with my shot strength which was the one struggle I had with them

Shot strength and boot material has nothing to do with one another mate - maybe in your head, but there's no performance benefit to a different material football boot. If you're looking to improve your shot strength, that's a very different question to what boots would be the best replacement for the 1.4s 🤝

We had a similar transition. I'm switching from wearing only wearing the puma ultra (wore from the beginning designs to 1.4) to nike phantom gx. Do you think the gx has a similar barefoot feel? If you fit in these better would you choose these over the gx?

Got 2 questions mate, first of all how wide are they? I have wide feet, really wide but I can fit into the ultra 1.3s and new balance 442 v2 for example. Do you think these would be too narrow? How long do you think they will last, if I use them around 3-4 times a week? Hard question I know, but a guess?

Have you watched through the video mate? I talk about width 🤝 If you fit in the Ultra 1.3 you should be fine. I talk about durability in the video too. Depends on a lot of factors

I like the Ultra Ultimate, but I don't think it's suitable for wider foot types. I LOVE my Future Ultimates if you're keen to stick with the Puma brand, otherwise a NB boot or the GXs would be my next recommendation 🤝

Hi Noah, I'm struggling finding boots. I always seem to have a lot of pressure on top of my big toes. It feels like they take all of the pressure which causes a lot of discomfort. They are pointing upwards so to speak and I guess just really big. It is better when I go up half a size but yeah than the boots feel too loose. I have this problem often as well, though yours sounds maybe a bit more severe than mine. If you’re dead set on speed boots, I think the X 18.1/19.1 or Ultra 1.1/1.2 will accommodate that specific issue the best. The Vapor 15 also might work if you can’t find those older models.

Hey man, I also have a similar problem with my big toe slightly pointing upwards therefore many boots that have a very pointy toe box kill my toes. But recently tried the puma future 1.4 and also these ultra ultimate and they are both amazing. Puma always has a slightly higher toe box than other companies and I love that. I personally bought the future z 1.4. They are the MOST comfortable ever! Like legit. It feels like a superfly 4 which was broken in and is even more comfortable than that!. True to size for me is eu44 but I end up going with eu 44.5 with adidas and nike because they are terrible for my big toe. But with pumas I got true to size and is perfect. We with this unique problem makes buying boots online without trying difficult because the shape of the boots differ, however I would aay definitely order true to size puma and you'll be happy

Puma and nike run 1/2 US sizes smaller than adidas and new balance. So "true to size" for someone that normally wears adidas wouldnt be correct. You'd want to go a half size up.

I disagree! The current puma future runs 1/4-1/2 size longer than any of the Nike models, and some people even say Adidas runs a bit long. If anything after all my testing, I'd say NB would be the only boot brand I might consider going 1/2 size up as their models in the equivalent size fit a bit small 🤝

@@NoahCavanaugh that's very different to my experience. I'm a UK 10.5 (EU 45) which in Adidas and NB is US 11, but in Puma and Nike is US 11.5. I've tried the vapor 15s and ultimates in US11 and they are too small. I buy based on UK and EU sizing instead of the seemingly inconsistent US sizing.

That's a good question mate, I can't answer that as I haven't tried the 2.3. My guess is that the materials on the 2.3 are a bit less premium than the ones on the Ultimate, but I'm fairly sure the soleplate is the same as the 1.3 which is great! 🔥

Not sure mate! I've never tried the pros! Unless you're talking about the 1.4s, in which case these are a bit more malleable out of the box, but a bit less lockdown from the upper.
