There’s something so uncanny about these conversations. It’s like an AI approximation of human dialogue. It flows conversationally perfectly, yet says nothing. I’m choosing to call it liminal dialogue. It’s mesmerising and eerie and beautiful and freaky all at once, yet none at any point.

Man lots of people (not you Op) in these comments don't know that you can write weird cool stuff without drugs or Ai. Really underestimating the human mind in my opinion.

i feel like it’s trying to tell a greater meaning but it’s not even trying to like it feels like it’s trying to say how he stayed through many eras of youtube (like how they stayed on the sign while the cars were driving) and how it got worse (like how they said it needed more rs)

To me it’s dream logic. Nothing is too jarring, but when you pay attention it doesn’t follow human logic. But i think you can get a number of different interpretations out of Bill’s work 🙂

Everyone's talking about how this sounds like an AI conversation or whatever, but it's just absurdism. And that's no shade to Bill, absurdism is a hard genre to write in, and this was incredibly well done. Not to mention the quality and style of the animation. And the setting reminded me of my home town in New Jersey--that strip mall looks uncannily like one five minutes from my house.

@Cypher123 it is the Terramere Plaza in Arlington Heights, illinois, NOT in new jersey. i confused the state of origin of Perfect Heights with the state of origin of the corner store from "at the corner store" (which was modelled off of Key Food in Jersey City, New Jersey) and the origin of the gallery from "2 friend on the beach" (which was modelled off of Warren Primary Care Center in Hackettstown, New Jersey). sorry about this, but maybe you would recognize the real life corner store and picture gallery

A long time ago- Actually, never, and also now, nothing is nowhere. When? Never. Makes sense, right? Like I said, it didn't happen. Nothing was never anywhere. That's why it's been everywhere. It's been so everywhere, you don't need a where. You don't even need a when. That's how "every" it gets.

This feels both comforting and familiar but also entirely incomprehensible-like trying to remember a dream, or having a dream made up of jumbled memories. There’s something profound to how the two individuals interact with the world and with each other-despite all of their questions and circular conversations, they still think their reality is perfect, and I wonder if it has to do with the fact that they’re together. Their reality only really has cohesion because they’re able to interact with one another, but it only has meaning because we, the audience, can watch it

I love the amount of detail you put into these animations. For example, the "yes yes restaurant" sign had Chinese characters that also translated to "yes yes." Another one I loved was the "Welcome to Perfect Heights" trashcan you had at the end right after one of the characters said, "everything is perfect". It is impressive since these stories kinda depict how the thoughts work. One character is like intruding thoughts; the other is your subconscious trying to understand it. Can I have a standwich now?

What's weird is that they aren't really feeling emotion but they are, see how their faces don't move that much, they do talk but their mouths don't smile or frown, their eyes don't blink, and their eyebrows don't move, but yet... They sound like they have emotion, they have minds, they don't sound like emotionless robots despite the fact they look like that, they gave personalities, a short can be a show, a show can be a movie, a movie can be movies, all without character without face emotions but voice emotions. It could be popular, the way bill makes these are interesting.

That's actually just how memory works. Every time we "play back" a memory in our mind, we unintentionally alter it slightly, and that version sticks. I'm no expert on this but it's probably more evident with dreams since they don't conform to what we expect from the real world, anyways.

"this place... this has gotta be fictional" "no, it's real" "is there any way to test that?" "try to make up something better" this was profound 🌏

This is somewhere between a fever dream and remembering the dream I had last night, still more than excellent work

As someone with ADHD, the 15 seconds of this video starting at 1:45 is literally the most relatable dialogue I've ever heard in my life

Vigilant Cosmic Penguin
That's how I felt in the last video with the bit about the Lobster Section.
Bruh-man "l'idiota"!
I don't know why but I found this little story strangely relaxing, make you feel like when you were a child and ya didn't know what to talk abouth with someone.

I’d go to an art exhibition just to see this stuff. I’m thankful for Bill and for TRvid for allowing artists to share weird stuff like this and find their weird audiences. Very cool.

I love the randomness of these videos, in a way it makes their seeming unmeaningfulness all more meaningful
