I remember first hearing of the Cat's Tail when I first started playing two years ago and went to go find it to enter - but to my great disappointment, it could not be entered..
Idk if we're all hyped for another hearthstone like card game, but definitely hyped for entering more buildings that have been talked about for so long.
Lumine: Brother, do not try to stop me. I will- Aether: How 'bout a game of cards, Invokation to be specific. Lumine: Oh. Okay. And that's how we got our sibling back, because not Gwent brings us all together into this pit of tar that slowly drags us further in till there's no way out.
Remember hearing about that game very long time ago back when I played more on hearthstone to be honest and enjoy some of that game it didn't have some decent spin-offs by the way how was that game doing it's been awhile since I checked
they 100% need to keep this exclusively in genshin though, not a separate app ever, allow people to see that genshin is really just a fun place to relax and enjoy no matter what types of games you like. So many times, i have wonderous experiences just going for walks with people in this world while chatting and i think it'd be genius to just have this seemingly amazing TCG as another reason to just come vibe in the world of teyvat with this amazing community.
no, if u can profiting from standalone Genshin TCG game, why keep it as mini games? remember Gwent? from mini game of the witcher game now it's stand alone TCG.
Fun fact: during the whole TCG event, Cyno never leaves the Cat's Tail, assuming he's addicted to TCG or he's a pro player. (also every time you re-enter the bar, you'll see Cyno duel other people randomly from table to table)
@Dana Otken True, and that makes it a true battle of wits. Does the plot end there? Or could it be that traveler knows that Oz is looking at his cards and is sending false information as well? How deep does the rabbit hole go!?
I'm not un-excited for TCG but what actually made me legitimately excited was the fact we can FREAKING FINALLY go into the Cats Tail Tavern!! Too long has Angels Share had a monopoly, now we can actually see what it's competitor looks like inside!!
I am so happy that the City of Freedom, Mondstadt, is getting more attention from the creators! ^_^ It's my most favorite region, and City, of the land of Teyvat! May Barbato's wind go with you all! :D
Hope they add ranked mode or server leaderboard sometime in the future, without competition this would feel kinda empty after 4-6 weeks unless you have friends who are into TCG.
Meanwhile, in Dawn Winery: Diluc: "Business a bit down lately, wonder where all the customers are." Back to Cat's Tail Tavern: Diona: "I feel happy but why at the same time I'm not happy that all of the red hair's customers are gone?"
This actually looks cool,I hope they make a seperate app for us to play or at least have a physical working card game for it. I'm very excited, as a person who has played Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon TCG
@Idk If they can remove the breath visuals from Raiden and Scaramouche in cold places surely they can add a Venti sneeze voice line... please hoyoverse
Ok, so I was going through my photos and I decided to look at screenshots that I had taken while playing the Drumalong Event. In the event, Itto says while showing us the features of the sight “And these boxes. Plenty of space whether you wanna play Genius Invocation TCG or a-battle some beetles.” Hoyoverse must’ve been working on this for a long time, so I bet it will be great! I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you trust in God and cast your cares (worries, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts) upon him, they will be NO MORE! Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals! The world is wicked, evil, and of the devil. I too, was a wicked sinner of the world before I opened my heart to God. I am living proof of God's work and fruitfulness! He is an active God who hears the prayers of his! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God. Open your heart to God, repent of your sins (he will forgive you), and let him direct your path. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands and purify your heart, lest you walk with the devil and follow him to hell.
Jesus Christ is the propitiation for the whole world's sins. They that believeth and are baptized (with the Holy Spirit) shall be saved; but they that believeth not shall be damned. Those led by the Holy Spirit do not abide in wickedness. 👍🏾 *God is ONE manifesting himself as THREE;* the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Bless him! *For these three are one.* As I am led by the Holy Spirit, nothing I state is a lie, but the truth of God. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or a liar. They do not know God, nor led by him. Anyone who *claims* to be a Christian and is against what I am doing, and where I am doing it; the Holy Spirit does not dwell within them, they lack understanding. They know not God, read his word, and their religion is in vain. Do not hear them, they will mislead you, the lost cannot guide the lost.
@Felixr2 "I really just looked up a dictionary definition to find an appropriate way to phrase it" But you didn't phrase it appropriately. You added a word and changed the definition. "Somehow, you've come across several people" Two people on a comment section that can't back-up their claims is not a valid argument for a claiming a word suddenly has a new meaning in the English lexicon. "'Broken'...'way too strong'...Is everyone using it this way wrong..?" No. Because it's still referencing one of the original meanings. Broken can mean something that is not working properly. Game developers making mistakes such as putting in an extra 0 when they're coding their game and making an overpowered character would be "broken" because it's not working the way it was intended. Things like this happened so often that the term was then used to refer any time a character or class was overpowered, because games are generally supposed to be fair when it comes to character/class/weapon/etc. selection and something being overpowered means the system isn't working the way it's supposed to. So, when someone says "this is broken" in reference to something being strong in a game, the underlying meaning of what they're saying is "There's an expectation of how characters/classes/weapons/etc. in this game should work properly and this character/class/weapon/etc. does not fit that expectation." Therefore, "broken" in reference to "way too strong" is still drawing from one of its original meanings and still matches the dictionary.
@Anthuny In terms of emphasis, no one immediately turned to female anatomy regardless of a 'hidden reference' since the only reference really made here is to the show Yu-Gi-Oh and a scene between Kaiba and Yugi. And what are you my professor, why do i have to source a definition? Everyone else seems to understand what is happening. TLDR You're getting butthurt over semantics, and joke goes whoosh. It's not that serious bro
@Your Friendly Neighborhood Megu *'stacked' is usually slang for much better in quality or overwhelming as compared to your opponent (as Felixr2 says)* Then post a legitimate site that agrees with your claim, because not even Urban Dictionary contains that definition. *"Your explanation can't be played off as relevant, moreso a weird emphasis on female anatomy smh"* Stacked means (a. an unfair deck, or (b. large breasts. I immediately explained why the first definition couldn't be a pun. That means the second definition was the only thing that could make what you said make sense. But I couldn't find reference to the second definition in your post or in the video. I even asked "Am I missing some sort of reference" to allow someone to correct me on where the second definition could be found. But no one did. So, it wasn't a weird emphasis. It was the only acceptable solution that allowed your "joke" to be a joke. And sadly it didn't exist, meaning your "joke" was inherently flawed based on your ignorance of the English language. It's not a "bad joke". It's a "bad attempt" at making a joke.
I can see potential Collab characters coming, all because of this, especially, a man with white hair, a white beard, two silver swords, came from another world, and is an addict to a certain card game from his homeworld
I was just wondering when we would get to see more of Fischl, and I'm so happily surprised by Sucrose being there too! Some of my favorites who don't get a lot of story love. Can't wait to see the inside of the Cat's Tail!!
Toda mi infancia y pubertad jugando yu-gi-oh, vanguard y Pokémon cards para este momento. Aquí es cuando las habilidades de un duelista entran en acción. xD
You know it would've been good if they would just make this something with resetting rewards like the abyss, a multiplayer matchmaking with rewards, or just make it it's own game. so much resources only for another thing to not play anymore cus we capped out on the rewards and finished everything. the only way this minigame will probably live after the all the content would probably be comunity held matches.
More Diona AND finally getting to see the inside of Cat's Tail? That's worth the price of admission even without the card game, which is super exciting too. I'm hyped!
Genshin wo do very well wit it, to make much more places actually enterable, not only the Cats Tail Bar, which gains with the Card Game now finally a reason of existance, a purpose for it. Like for example Mona's flat, Klees confinement room and the whole second floor of the knights headquar which is since day 1 just an illusion, but unexplorable. The homes of playable characters are all interesting options to make them visitable locations to meet their the characters eventually. But who knows, maybe when MHY gets finally serious with more Hangouts n Legend Quests, would be nice at least.
@AMD tbh, the only real similarity between Genshin and BotW is that they both use stamina for gliding, really can't think of any other similarities, I mean even the cooking system in the two games are completely different, I suppose you could also say the structure of enemy camps are similar, but that could be said all open-world games, that's just basic game design
@Symphonix_Beats all innovations come from improving upon existing ideas, nothing exists in a vacuum. If you don't allow anything that shares some similarities with a prior thing then you actually stifle innovation, just like how drug companies use wide covering patents to prevent competition and jack the prices up. Mihoyo is an innovative company, they even have in-house research teams that publish research papers, such as using AI to model fabric movement, better cell shading, etc. I think this whole "who copied who" is just stupid, nobody should own an idea, if someone can implement that idea better than you then that's your onus to improve. Let the players decide which one they want to play.
@Symphonix_Beats You have any evidence that the card effects and style are copied? Because as far as trailers go, it's very clear Genshin's card effects are just using their own character's abilities. If you want to say they copied style, you're going to have to be more specific because anime style games isn't a style any game can consider their originality, if by style then you mean character abilities, then Genshin is just using their own character abilities. At face value, all the things you mention that Mhy has copied are in no way Onmyoji's original ideas and designs.
Man, the next version is going to be a lot of fun, I'm really looking forward to it, I liked the song "Dream Aria" in rock, that we can finally get into the cat's tail, the character cards, super excited for version 3.3🇧🇷
I truly appreciate their attempts to add something, and it seems exciting for many people as you can see by comments. But, let's be reasonable, cards game isn't a new thing. It's not me complainig, but mb we deserve a bit different end content, where we'll be able to actually use our teams. And don't mention the abyss, coz it's annoying to go throw it for two years already... Lets admit, everyone's happy of course, but there is nothing good here except the tavern itself
@Hegitt casual means you can get through the game by playing normally. You can finish all events by playing normally. You don't need perfect artifacts and rare weapon to defeat enemies. 2 years of casual action Casual doesn't means you rarely playing but still progressing through the game Alright, you want permanent mode where there's battle and action, doesn't matter if it's easy. Like Hyakkunin Ikki
@Nito Arya D 2 years proved what this is an Action RPG with a little A-word. Nothing more, nothing less. Their focus was always on the events, but you weren't able to do most of them by being casual. You had to pass quests and progress your rank somehow, and I'm afraid not just by fishing and decorating pots. Abyss isn't a casual part of the game. Not playing it on the other hand - makes you a casual player. And the differences are not in the ranks or you deciding is it mandatory or not, but in amount of efforts. Abyss is a permanent game mode which still gives gems, means more wishes, more chances to get a new character for your collection. Even casual players are interested in getting new characters, so they go to the Abyss anyway, just in case, and when it's telling them - no, you've been too casual, so no rewards for now, come next time and try harder. Some will try harder and their game will become less casual till they reach the final floor. That's how game design works - it motivates you to grow up or spend more time in the game. And even if rewards aren't appealing, it's still an extra making you closer to a pity. So all this Abyss thing can't count as casual if you play it regularly. It requires some efforts You're confused. Where did you see anything from me about should or shouldn't this game be a competitive one? I don't care about competitive. You misunderstood me, put a cliche on me. Used words I even didn't have in mind lol. You are judging a stranger before asking, that's why your comment was about "don't play". And "different" end contents doesn't mean hard. I wish something suitable for a game based on elemental reactions. It would be a big discover for you, but I'm not in the club of super-duper-hard-content-let-me-be-the-strongest-only-me-and-nothing-else. There are not only black or white colours on the palette. Teams and characters, elemental reactions - are cores of gameplay here, so it's obvious, what some wants to see game modes using that mechanics, otherwise why is it an RPG and not a bunch of mini games. So why not to promote it's core mechanics by making a new content based on it, and there is no need for this to be hard. Thanks they did enjoyble dendro reactions and some new tricky bosses and mobs. So there is hope for something more
@Hegitt "different end content"? you want variety of hard difficult content for your overpowered teams? Hard content isn't the direction this game is going for sure this game allows you to make a team as strong as possible with grinding and money and you want a content where all of your effort will be useful. But these 2 years, dev choose to listen to casual players based on the content they release Just wait in the future, if dev will actually change direction and added competitive content or staying with their casual direction
@Hegitt 2 years of this game progress and service already proved enough that this is a casual game Open world action RPG is its genre. I'm talking about the direction of this game planning and design which is focused on "Casual Live Service Multiplatform Single Player RPG" compare it to actual competitive game where they already have ranked and hard end game content from the start of its release what multiplayer competition? there's no ranked, it's just simple pvp. At the end of events, all players get same amount of rewards, not based on rank rewards Abyss isn't mandatory with no appealing rewards, that's why it's casual The only difference between casual and competitive is if there's ranked or not and mandatory difficult content with appealing rewards.
Every Genshin antagonist: “It’s your end, Traveler!” Traveler: “A round of Genius Invokation?” Every Genshin antagonist: *nods silently* Paimon: *facepalms*
