Pro tip to survive: #1. Instead of making a tall pillar of wood plank to survive. Use dirt instead becayse dirt cant burn and woods can #2 make a cobblestone generator With cobblestone generator u can get many cobble stone which you can use to pillar up to survive lava

There's another way to survive, build a tiny little hut on the high sky level and cover yourself up with signs and doors.
