@Ryan Echelberger But if we make everything about work, especially when it's the last couple of days before a break then the kids will lose motivation for learning early on if all we do is work work work. And it's stressful for us teachers as well so doing the Kahoot and other fun stuff is a breath of fresh air for all of us.

I remember sometimes having to put in my student number on stuff like Kahoot! It didn’t happen too often, usually teachers allowed creative usernames as long as they weren’t offensive. The good thing about it was that when teachers shared a schedule with grades your name wouldn’t be on it, only your student number, so students wouldn’t laugh at the ones who got bad grades. You could tell who was new though, I had a number starting with 19 in college and due to having to start the year over and then deciding to take a different class, nearly all my classmates had a number starting with 20 as the number went up by 1 for every new student.

I hate how I'm old enough to know what you're talking about, but young enough to actually play Kahoots.

Hey, I have a similar story! For context, we had two different class group chats: one with the teacher and one without. As the youngest in my class, I put in Class Novice as my nickname on the Student GC (yes, that is where I got my current nickname). I often sleep very late and everybody in my class knows that I have random thoughts when I'm about to go to bed. The reason everyone knows this is because I had a bad habit of posting a random thought in our GC and ending it with "Thank you for coming to Novi-thoughts" in the middle of the night. They learned to deal with it now and treat it as a running gag/inside joke but it did annoy then at first. Anyway, we were having a Kahoot game and the teacher actually encouraged us to put in random names so we all were anonymous. I decided to put in Novice and everyone immediately knew it was me... except the teacher. So he had no idea why everyone was laughing when a classmate of mine said out loud "I wonder who Novice is" and another responded with "Probably Brian" and then Brian responded with "Thank you for coming to Novi-thoughts" Good times indeed

@푸른여우 블라포슈 That would be my history class. Everyone would randomly pick one of three people, and most of the class would be one of those three people, or some variation of their name. It was a different few people whose name got picked each time, after two or three popped up, that's when the flood gates opened. Sometimes I think the history teacher was this close to disowning us all XD

Mine were always pure chaos since I went to a laid back school with laid back teachers who didn’t care as much and let people yell but controlled the names. Although one time there was a person whose username was that square that shows up when emojis aren’t supported because they knew a few emojis that don’t register properly and we just called them box since we didn’t know who they were. 😂😂

Same, sometimes we have similar incidents where some students have other students names in their usernames but luckily the situation never got as bad as in the video😀
