Jokic is a cheat code in this game. Just think about it. He can perform any pass from any point A to any point B imaginable. While standing at 7 feet, with 7'4 wingspan, controlling the ball the way he does, with his body dexerity and game reading IQ he can visualize and execute soooo many options. His style of a fluffy 285 lb ballerina with cobra like reflexes and cashmere wool level of soft touch combined with his efficiency makes him a paradigm shifter of our perceived possibilities of the game. An unique player in NBA history.

I have seen a lot of live NBA games. If you have not seen Jokic live in person playing basketball, you must. He can cover/cut off more of the court than any player i have ever seen. He is like a wall, and it is hard to see with the higher camera angles on tv. Go see this man live it will give you a whole other perspective

I remember seeing him play live against Partizan (trvid.com/video/video-NOBI04_UdGQ.html) but he was a kid back than, looking goofy next to Ratko Varda 😆. Everyone could see that he had different feel for the game, that he stood out from the others. But nobody could've foresee him becoming one of the best basketball players ever.

Jokic is a terrifying player for any opposition. I mean, when attacking, he faces 6'5, 6'6 guards. That makes it nearly impossible to block mid-range shots and 3's. When he's up against big men in the league, he's WAY more agile. And when there's a double team, he just makes a quick pass and it's game over. And this is his attacking play. What I love the most about the Joker is the small details almost nobody sees - he's like a calculator. I've seen him on multiple occasions leaving players shoot (forcing them to do it). He draws fouls on poor FT shooters like Giannis to destabilize them. At the same time, he's constantly in the face of Steph Curry or other shooters, making it nearly impossible for them to have big games. He adapts to each player, knowing their strengths and weaknesses. That's remarkable. Unlike many NBA stars who are like "I'm gonna play my ballgame and make people pray I have a bad day".

my biggest and possibly only gripe with this guy is why cant he just defend inside and contest shots. tim duncan is literally the same unathletic body type and runs like a loser yet he is like what, top 5 in blocks or something? this guy's defense never evolved further ever since draymong called him out 3-4 years ago. just like his accent, it will never evolve. bruh, if yao ming who never spoke english can learn to speak and present himself so clearly in interviews, this guy should be able to do so as well. i know he doesn't care but have some pride man lol, you're a role model whether you like or not. dirk also had a massive german accent yet he's so classy now. jokic is my fav player, he reminds me of larry bird/magic offense, haven't seen it in awhile.

Not a fair characterization of his D. D is not only blocks, or lateral movement. And that is abundantly clear when you look at his steals. Or his team D + - . He is always on the move on D, and the way the D is organized when he is playing is the key. But you are def right that his lack of vertical, and lateral athleticism, hurts the team, as it is pretty straight forward to drive to the basket and score on Denver. That is a big problem. But that will never change, cause that's just something that he doesn't have athletically.

I'm pretty sure he's 6th or 7th in deflections this year he has really quick hands and everyone else above him is a guard he's not a horrible defender he's well above average and has got 200% better since draymond called him out and even draymond admitted that
