Sometimes I watch glee because it’s almost funny how ridiculous it is, to the point where I think it’s satire at times. Some parts of it were good, but honestly It is ridiculous and sometimes I want to punch the characters in the face

They did nothing at all, not only Rachel got no consequences, for example Santana bodyshaming Finn, Finn outing Santana, the whole slushie thing, Kitty giving Marley an ED. Honestly they either had zero consequences or too much (for example with Marley getting kicked out because she was uncomfortable)

The eating disorder did not come up at all the way the episode paints it the reason she did it was to get back at Jake and the problem wasn't that she didn't wear a bikini it was that she wore an outfit against the theme she could've kept on theme with something more conservative and it would've been fine. Mr. Schue knew that she was only doing it to get back at Jake though which is why he suspends her

@Jude Desaubin It wasn't just to spite Jake though, Marley was still in recovery from her eating disorder. Part of Will's job as a teacher is to protect his students. He knew that Marley had an eating disorder and that the Glee club was a big reason why she developed it. Putting her in that position at all was completely wrong and dangerous. Eating disorders are incredibly easy to relapse and such a vulnerable thing could've done it (had Ryan Murphy used his brain). It also was a huge double standard, during The Rocky Horror Picture Show when both Finn and Sam expressed being uncomfortable with being in a revealing costume Will immediately offered to change it.

@Jude Desaubin It doesn't matter why she did it. The assignment was hugely inappropriate and demeaning. In the real world, Will would of been fired. Also, the double standards are hilarious... the amount of times Rachel or Finn or some of the other glee members went against what the assignment was and got 0 consequences is laughable. Will had favorites and punished people differently.

glee’s series finale was the second to last episode of season three. period. it definitely ended there. there were no other seasons after that.

Coming out is a sensitive topic, but so is body shaming, eating disorders and comments about other people's body that should not be made.

@Sara just because she was kind of awful, doesn't mean that she deserves to be outed because coming out is such a scary and sometimes dangerous thing and not being in control of that is something no one desrves, in my opinion

@Erik Perhs Ok and they’ve witnessed people getting bullied for being gay. Kurt had to transfer schools, Dave tried to kill himself because of the bullying. Santana wasn’t in the right here but Finn was definitely more wrong

Marley's eating disorder is a perfect example of this. They made it seem like you can just be like "oh, I'm better now!" and never struggle again. For a show that was meant to talk about teen issues, it seemed to drop the ball on anything other than bullying and sexuality. Though, how they handled Santana coming out makes me question if they were even good at talking about sexuality.

And If you are snappping you are not thinking about consecuences... Maybe they should have shown better what Finn thinks about the repercussions of his actions, but it is a very realistic take on how that sort of thing can happen.

Finn saw how Kurt was treated because of his sexuality and in Season 3 we also had Karofsky’s storyline where he attempted suicide because his classmates found out about his sexuality. Yes she was a bully at times but NOTHING and I repeat NOTHING gives you the ‘right’ to out someone.

@Beatrix Lozach I agree that sometimes his voice was a bit too sharp but I think that Chris, Darren and Kevin's voices were the best between male actors. I think Chris' voice has a lot to do with his speaking voice which is very high and up in his head area. I find his voice amazing and quite pleasing but I guess it's one of these voices that either you like or don't like.

Yes, I got outed myself and I don't understand how everyone forgave him so quickly, like when I was outed and people asked me abt it, I told my friends that this person whom I thought was a friend had outed me, none of us ever trusted her again. Luckily I'm no longer in contact with her. But the way that Santana's outing was made out to have finn be the hero really hurt.

@L-W 2004 You're mad at the antagonist for being the antagonist. Santana's a bully, we know this, but that is her character. Being mad at the antagonist for doing their roll is like being mad at the villian in a movie for being the villian. It doesn't make sense. Finn is supposed to be the good guy yet he did this and even called Kurt the f word. His actions are anything but good guy behavior. This overall was just bad writing and it feels like they made Santana meaner than she actually is so Finn outing her wouldn't be that bad

I’m fully against dead naming, but at least in season 3 Unique wasn’t trans, Unique was Wade’s drag name rather than a name Wade had taken after transitioning

@leighton curless they constantly call her “wAdE”, they act like Unique is some sort of her nickname, they don’t let her play Rizzo although she has a great voice for that, the guys from the Glee club don’t treat her like an actual woman and mr Shue tells her not to make her breasts bigger because he has a bad day. The way they treat Unique throughout the entire show is definitely not the way trans ally should behave

EXACTLY he did so many things wrong and it wasn’t just in Glee

So not to stoke any fires but they did try to reach out to her. In the very next episode. They sang her "Perfect" and attempted to encourage her. She at first shot insults at them and they still sang the song to encourage her. And although you could tell it moved her, the end result was her throwing more insults. Sorry I do see someone brought that up in the comments!

in my opinion she shouldn't have gotten into nyada, at least not for like another half season or something. you have to give up sometimes and you have to learn to deal with failure. she was an idiot for not having ANY sort of backup plan. like, her entire life depended on this this one performance and she messes it up, and if they stuck with it would have been a really good way to develop her character, but NOPE, all hail queen berry. also i'm convinced the tina body switch episode was made bc the creators realised nobody liked rachel and they wanted to fix it.

Actually, they casted Idina before writing in the Rachel’s mother plot line. They wrote that in after she was already introduced because fans noticed how much her and Lea looked alike

@Noweliad most of the cast of this show are horrible AND that's the point. She's an unlikeable main character and that what's interesting. One minute you feel sorry, the next you wanna hit her. The writers fucked her up after season 4 (I'd say mid season 3). And the voice. She has a grate voice. Good control, technique, and the reason why most are tired of her's, it's because we hear it A LOT. But , and I can't say this enough because people clearly don't get it, she was the main character after Finn and Will. And it is trendy, it just is.

Hard agree. Imo, the only good moment in the New York section was Sam slutshaming Artie and Blaine with Kurt trying to calm Sam down while scolding Artie. I can't watch this scene without cracking up. If the Glee writers were so keen on keeping some of the original cast (especially Rachel), they should have just created another show and slot it after Glee's usual broadcast time. Best of both worlds for the fans and the writers get to have the cast appearing on one or the other show as guest stars (or have special episodes) 🤷🏾‍♀️
