Some tips: -turn off aim-assist -turn off "mid-game-save" (so whenever you die in a mission it resets and you will be respawned back to the beginning of the level) when you first launch the game the settings are all automatically set to "casual" (basically for people who wanted to steam-roll through the game) so it's up to you to change it however you see fit

After hearing how much zanny liked the revenge of the sith segment I went and replayed it, and it is by far my favorite part of the whole game. I think this is due to it having the more original level design compared to being dropped into a big area with some blue bricks to collect. I think zanny would have a blast playing the complete saga because he might prefer that type of Lego design

I have good memories of the OG Lego Star Wars games being hilarious and the Skywalker Saga was the same. I still haven’t convinced myself to play through 7, 8, and 9 just because I really didn’t like any of the characters or the storylines.

The main draw of the game for adults is mainly the childhood nostalgia. I played a Lego star wars game when I was a kid, and I loved sinking hours into that game to unlock cool characters, exploring levels I've already played, and generally enjoying the humor (I was a kid, sue me), this game does a great job replicating the feeling that game gave me back then.

As an adult who legitimately likes this game: most of it is nostalgia and knowing how far the Lego franchise has come to get to this quality - I sank over a hundred hours into the Complete Saga just because I was having fun when I was a kid, it didn’t even have that much content (I can and have 100%’d it in a handful of hours now). It prioritizes presentation over challenge and the most substance you’ll find is in the brick hunting, which gets exhausting after a while, as each area is choked with them but they’re all locked behind elaborate (and sometimes frustratingly repetitive) puzzles, which isn’t what I go for personally, and they’re intricately tied to the upgrade system which only really makes an impact in the core tree. But it’s still a fun experience, especially for longtime fans. Also, bit of spoilers but imo they go way too far into parodying the sequel trilogies when the other two trilogies gets a whole modern makeover, which is incredibly frustrating and ended up adding onto my exhaustion at the end. Just my opinion, I know a lot of people probably went in for that

They definitely put most of the effort into the big explorable hub areas, while the actual levels are really basic and short. There are a lot of movie moments you'd expect to be included that just get ignored or glossed over in a cutscene....it makes it feel a bit soulless in the long run compared to the old games.

I have to say, for this to be your first Lego Star Wars game and to see you just pick up the controller and start making your own fun in between the story beats like I did when I was 8 years old playing The Complete Saga shows me that Tt succeeded in their mission of making a decent Lego Star Wars game. Tip: Some characters such as Force users can perform an air attack after using basic attack, and then jump. Characters like Vader can gain more vertical distance over gaps while other characters such as Luke can gain horizontal distance.

Zanny the main games people talk about are the original Lego Star Wars game which covered the first 2 trilogies and Lego Star Wars 3 the Clone Wars which covered the TV show, they're both pretty fun but they are older and geared for a younger audience, people like them because they're actually like really really good kids games that can still be enjoyed by adults, especially since the humor is **always** top notch

With the auto-aim thing at 6:16, you can turn it off in the settings. If you turn of Aim Assist (I had to turn the entire Aim Assist off, since just turning off homing lasers didn't seem to do anything).

I will forever cherish the prequal games on the ps2, every remaster changes them just a little bit, they'd probably feel completely different from this game. The final level just hit different, especially back then as a kid.

FYI you can lower the level of aim assistance in the settings or even turn it off completely. Don't do that in the Endor bike chase level tho, as it can break the game
