Can we just appreciate how the Corridor boys are not using Markiplier for a cheap clickbait? He's not in the title or the thumbnail or the intro. He's just a natural part of the video and not an insignificant one either. Big props.
Markeplier just absolutely going "HENCE, THE WHOLE CONCERN OF 800 POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH" kills me everytime. Wren is just pushing the limits like a madlad whereas Mark is like that one sane dude that has to watch shit go wrong. Brilliant, glad to see Mark in this light along with all his other works in TRvid
Considering Mark is usually the one going "But what if we increase it to 11!" it's quite funny to see him having to go "Oh, hey, wait a second, don't go blow a hand off with something I'm part of designing here!"
On one hand, I am so happy to see Mark being able to use his engineering education from college, but on the other hand, I was so hoping to get my degree first, and boast later that I got to be an engineer before he did.
I have found from jumping hobby to hobby that you often end up using whatever you learned from the last hobby to reinforce the next one. Like, I originally enjoyed taking wooden or prop swords and making them look as real as I can, and with that knowledge I can use my 3d printer and some cheap PLA to make a sword, then use the skills I learned from the last hobby to make the sword look real. The same concept goes for the corridor folks, I wouldn't be surprised if Nat was in to cosplay at some point, the VFX helps for 3d printing, the sewing helps to make the costumes, and the mechanical knowledge allows for some badass props.
@theNimboo and by the way, Natalie isn’t a 3d artist, she worked at props for corridor. And made a great job. Most of the sci fi weapons and outfits in the corridor videos were made by nat. YOU WANNA HEAR SOMETHING CRAZY? JORDAN IS GAY 😱 You don’t like him anymore too? Foff
I always disliked Mark, but Corridor has been one of my favorite channels forever. Seeing him on here feels weird. I always saw him as a fake kinda person, but the Corridor people seem like the most genuine type of fun loving guys you can find anywhere. But after watching this I realized I was wrong about Mark!!! I like him :D Nat, on the other hand? I do not like, not even a little bit. She just never plays along. While Mark was giving his epic speech at 19:10 Wren was playing along in his loveable, goofy way like usual, but Nat just stood there, like she always does. She never acknowledges anyone else's goofiness, I suspect because she has none of her own. Also Nat has no real skill at the craft. Every single competition she's ever done she created the absolute worse 3d stuff of all of them. Like the spiderman one for example, hers was complete shit. I'm so glad she left the company, she doesn't belong there. We need only truly dedicated, creative, and goofy people like Peter, Wren, Clint. Also why the fuck is the black girl in the after video 22:19 thing? Isn't she just like an assistant or something? Please god don't tell me Corridor is trying to people please the PC crowd. The fucking founders need to be there! Niko! What the hell. Corridor has always been a place where talent means something. Everywhere else in the world "identiy" or whatever BS means more than what you actually do in your life, but at Corridor talent is what means something. Hard work, who can create the best designs gets the spotlight. I absolutely hate that much of the world gives the spotlight to people who haven't worked for it just to appear "woke." Truly disgusting.
Lmao. Its so odd to see Mark be the voice of reason after years of seeing him be comically over the top. Parts of that side of him definitely still show through randomly but with Corridor you definitely see his engineer training pop up again and again
I love Jan, he looks like if Coyote Peterson was dropped into the post apocalypse and had to fight 30ft scorpions instead of just stinging himself with them
Markiplier... one of the best voices on you tube. I've watched whole videos for games I don't like, just because of his voice. great to see him with the Corridor crew.
Seeing Mark for years being goofy and all, that sometimes I forgot that this man was actually two semesters away from getting a bio-engineering degree before he opted out to make videos. Very Funny, Very Smart, Very Kind, and also a low-key Masochist.
@Sylfa That's my point. You don't really develop that skillset until your last few semesters. I tend to consistently outperform most of my peers, and I can tell you it's not from book-learning.
@Thomas Becker In Sweden they tell you straight up on day one that what you're there to learn is *how* to learn things, since you will do that throughout the rest of your engineering career. Learning the specific details about this or that isn't important, what's important is being able to pick it up quickly and efficiently as each job will have its own niche knowledge and there's no way they can teach every student everything needed for every job available. And its true, didn't take long until I forgot all the specific details, just remembered enough to be able to look it up again if I needed it.
I immediately thought of a leather bracer to mount control components so I'm really glad to see that's where it ended up. I sincerely hope Jan uses the nerf finger all the time.
Mark seems like such a ridiculously humble guy, despite his fame, and Nat, holy shit! I know you could design but doing the leather, the 3d printing, running wires, etc. Super impressive.
True. Though he was a normal guy before tye fame, and fame does not always ensure a steady livable income so it helps getting new experiences so that you can apply to a wide range of extra jobs if something goes wrong or fame begins to decline.
They've got some cool ideas and some decent content, but oh my god I would blow my brains out if I had to hang out with these guys for any more than an hour. Just so insufferably 2010.
You know, it's moments like these that remind me that Mark is more than the Legendary goofball we all know and love and is someone relatively competent... surprisingly...
I always report channel or the comments when it comes to bots. Bots suck. the If possible click the bots channel and report the entire channel because reporting bot comments is good but reporting the channel is better. I have had my comments copied by bots too and it sucks. It sucks that so many people don’t understand they are talking to bots when they comment under a bot post.
"Be responsible." "Never." Love it lol Also really cool to see Mark interacting with people outside of his usual group of friends and getting to use his long-abandoned engineering knowledge😅
Had no idea it would get that many likes lol but i love how the comments are all about the possible existence of a horizontal slide bar😅 I personally haven't seen one, but yt does all kinds of weird stuff so I don't doubt it. Also, on the vein of marks "engineering knowledge", he may not have used that much specific knowledge, but he grasped the workings of things I wouldn't even be able to guess how they worked. So he's at least got some basics to work with, which is what I was referring to. Dunno what field he was studying, but either way he understands this stuff a lot better than I ever could tbh.
Watching bc I follow Mark & wanted to see what he was working on. Now I'm thinking of things that I could potentially 3D print for my pinky - I'm missing the top 3rd (so not as much room to work with) but still inspired. Man, 3D printing would have been awesome to figure out my whole pinky problem playing clarinet growing up.
If he was missing his pointer finger you could easily make him a Nerf one because he could make his hand look like an L and then go bang like it’s a gun and have an actual Nerf dart come out of it and then he blows like and that would be a good way to give him a cool Nerf finger or fingor
Considering they seem to have nerf wars somewhat often, I'm surprised no one there has made an Esper or Talon Claw, or any of the other 3D-printed Nerf blasters
You know those air rockets you jump on to push air into the rocket so it goes up, you could’ve done that but I guess electronically controlled stuff works too
This is so incredible I thought this was going to be slight clickbait so creating a nerf finger w VFX but doing in reality and making a disability into a superpower is so awesome to see
@Alec Hansen his older content i was a lot more inmature but he grew up with his auidence with time he's more mature now still cracks really childish jokes sometimes but i feel everyone does and it works really well for him as he's not constantly screaming or anything like that he's also someone that never let fame/money get to his head and is realitivly smart with his money compared to a lot of other top creators
it's like two friends nerding out on something they enjoy for others to watch basically what both of them on a daily basis, but collabs can be super fun lik ethis when they're legitimately just doing it for the fun of it and not worried about anyone's status which is always a great place to be in
I just love seeing how the whole Corridor Crew just has these fun occasions every now and then and simply enjoy themselves at the office. Would love to work in a business like that.
@Ken while business technically their business is content, as such it lends to more laid back, including the fact that everyone there is friends of some variety. They get work done, but they let themselves breath
@Ken Well, whatever you're comparing to as a basis for it being bizarre, Corridor is not at all like that. They are artists who set their own deadlines under almost all circumstances. Even tho they allow ppl to work there who are camera shy, generally they only hire eccentric personalities and there's clearly a good reason for that, it's what runs the creativity in Corridor.
@Beans and Rice I've just never known an office where the employees just play games together on a console. let alone having a nerf war. So all this seem very bizzare to me.
When Wren said to Mark after Jan shot him, "Are you feeling lightheaded," I would have said, "No, but I think I might have some internal bleeding," while slowly pretending to die. 😂
Was a good idea (for Jan) to use motorized pressure, otherwise he'd need to bring a few cylinders of CO2, which would be very cool to reload, but overall a hassle.
Mark has his own stuff to do. He's only interning because he Finally managed to set aside some free time for a little bit. He has zero intention of sticking around permanently the entire point of being here is so he can take what he learns and put it to use on his own projects in the future.
Nice Shirt btw Griffin! I was good friends with Riley and it still messes me up that he passed away at such an early age. It's good to see two different entities I love so much somehow connecting!
The nerf finger is creative, but I wanna see it taken to the next level: prosthetic nerf ARM. All four fingers can be fired as well as a big bullet from the palm.
So ur saying u want 1 of them to loose an arm in a horrible accident of some kind. What a d!ck thing to say, bro. Plus I dont think they have what it takes for that LVL of commitment to do that voluntarily
jan's such a nerf pro he has a nerf gun as a limb. its amazing how this happened, these guys are the smartest i have encountered on youtube. very cool.
These 3D Printed figures are incredible!. My son is 8 and was born with ABS and hasn't got all his fingers on his left hand. Any advice or help with being able to make these would be amazing. Thank you. 🙏
