A country that suffered a crushing defeat in both world wars. During the Second World War, Hungary - a monarchy without a monarch, headed by an admiral without a fleet - supported Hitler for revanchist reasons. At first, the Hungarians managed to revise the provisions of the "unfair" Trianon Peace and annex Carpathian Ukraine, part of the territories of Slovakia, Romania, and Yugoslavia. However, already in 1943, things took a turn for the worse, and the regent Miklós Horty began intensively looking for ways out of the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition. According to the logic of events, in the fall of 1944, Hungary could go over to their side after Romania, Bulgaria and Finland. However, the Nazis and "Crossed Arrows" of Ferenc Saláši had completely different plans in this regard.
"History Without Myths" is a popular channel about the past of Ukraine and the world without embellishments and falsifications. The experts of our programs are professional historians (doctors and candidates of historical sciences, professors, associate professors, employees of scientific institutes and historical museums), each of whom is a specialist in a specific issue.
