Ohhh yes! It looks like soon we'll be seeing the Hungary of the 1950s and early-to-mid-1960s, when they had stars like Ferenc Puskas. The next Euros (2024 in Germany) will determine how far they've come. But a great victory for them today.
Germany isn't missing anyone it was just pure class from Hungary, was really impressed with their game. Also about half of the starting lineup play in Germany
@@seamuscorry3603 Hungary also missed 2 of their most prolific strikers, they have scored 6 goals total coming into this game and 4 of the 6 is shared between those 2 and they were injured. Roland Salai
Think about this; over the last 2 years, Hungary have: tied France in euro 2020, tied Germany in euro 2020 (where they were minutes away from winning), beaten England twice in Nations League, tied Italy and beaten Germany in Nations League. Let's be honest, if Hungary were in North American, Asian or African qualifying, they likely would have qualified for the World Cup. Imagine if a team from North America, Asia or Africa had the results that Hungary has had over the last 2 years. We'd be talking about them as World Cup Dark Horses. Insane that Hungary hasn't even played in a World Cup since 1986
Hungary has an immense football legacy and history. They were the best team in the world in the early 1950s and they were still very good throughout the 1930s to the 1960s. It’s about time they make a comeback
Hungary showed true character. Marco Rossi is a magician, I have to say. The transfer market value of Hungary compared to any of the three teams in this groups is a fraction of it, so anyone saying that Hungary is not the underdog in the group needs to just look at the value of each team. Amazing victory! Proud to be a Hungarian!
Dude Marco Rossi is no magician. The dude straight up parked the bus with a 9 man defensive line against a giant. Parking the bus takes not strategy whatsoever. You praying to get a goal by a counter long pass or a set piece.
Hungary’s uprising reminds me a little of Iceland’s. I really hope Hungary surprises and continues to develop their players and contend for a spot in the Elite. Denmark / Norway / Hungary should not be slept on , they’re slowly becoming permanent class.
FUN FACT: Hungary was SO CLOSE to become WC champions in 1938 and 1954. If they had won those finals, then Hungary will get so much recognition and respect from all the nations. So I wasn’t surprised they defeated Germany. Because for ME…Hungary are like Nottingham Forest, “a forgotten giant”. If I chose a team to send Hungary in 2022, it will be Switzerland. What do you guys think?
I think Hungary is just as good or better than most of the teams in the World Cup from North America, Africa and Asia. It's just that Europe and South America are much harder to qualify from
I think ppl should take Hungary seriously bc they preformed really well in the European championship as well. They are solid defensively and have some very good midfielders
Great Italian coach. Top nations will eventually stop qualifying as often. It takes a toll on players who play too often. I do believe that Hungary has a great chance of winning against Italy or even go goalless to win the group. Italy doesn't do well with teams that don't open up.

Hungary is my favorite country in Europe. They are standing up to Germany and the European Union bravely, and their players are inspired by Orban and just crush germany in soccer
@@jasperseen7347 This is like your 5th comment that I’m reading that says the same exact thing. Relax man, Hungary is top of the group and they consistently beat good teams, go cry about it. This is football.
No Neuer our best goalie no goretzka best midfielder!! Now we know how important to have your best players in those positions!! And they annulled a goal from us. Don't panic my fellow Germany 🇩🇪 fans!!
I propose a “second tier” World Cup like tournament with 24 teams. Call it the International Invitational Cup or something. It completely unfair that we have massive talent and solid squads in Colombia, Italy, and Hungary and we can’t see them compete

Let's analyze the glorious dive of the Hungarian player with number 7 running along the sideline with a ball. Rudiger puts pressure on him forcing him to stop his run he flicks the ball back and looks at it. As soon as he notices the ball is running away he collapses and rolls like a rock of a hill screaming like a little. In slow mo you can see there was no physical contact between them. Cards should be issued to players like this after the game is analyzed but since that isn't happening there should at least be an organization giving out Drama Queen awards for the best diving theater performances akin Ballon D'or exposing this tendency.
Germany international hasn't been the same since 2014. To me they're the new 2010s Argentina, nah maybe worse, with all that talent that teams like them, Brazil france etc all have no excuse. Just sad.
Lol that's what happened when football catch up on you, these small nations gonna over throw a lot of you big dogs in the world of football well done Hungary
