Though I agree the event was lame and honestly it went so slow I was hoping it would end, I am really happy with the final cutscene. The next island looks awesome
@Jamarcus Durden Nah man it was a pretty boring and needlessly drawn out event. Over half of the players got kicked out or crashed as well so there's a good chance you wouldn't even get to play it out. Pretty big letdown of an event for the end of a chapter.
i feel like the thing that made the event as bad as people say it is, is the fact that the event was overly long for no reason Edit / Explaination: Most of the event consisted of us doing chores that don’t count for anything and wasn’t fun at all. Instead of us watching the zero forge the map together, we could’ve been playing the first cinematic as the event ( I think someone in the comments said something like that ) and the zero point could forge the map back together during downtime, ( our players looking at the map), and at the end of downtime ( the end of the map forging itself together ), that’s where the season started, and we could have like a little transition into the season. Tbh that wouldn’t make sense tho because we would still have to update the game.
The event would have been better if we were there shooting the Herald at the beginning for a couple mins and then the cutscene of her destroying the map Then we just watch the zero point assemble the map which would only take like 2 minutes and then we get the final cutscene. The problem with this even was how there was 40 minutes of just sitting.

The live event was good, but could've been better. The reason why we're so disappointed is because we're used to Fortnite having extravagant and unique events, such as The End 2.0 or Collison. If we had this event all the way back in early Chapter 1, we would've lost our minds. Point being, it's not a bad event at all, but just not the best we know Epic could do
For real I was literally like just saying can this fucking end and quit running around and just got on my phone about 25 orbs in when I realized it was just gonna keep going
I just kind of left to eat because nothing was happening. The map that we played on during the quest was also just stupid nostalgia bait. The final island doesn't look nothing like that
The island got deleted immediately then we collected little zero point things for 30 minutes and then it showed us the new map, hulk, Mrbeast, then down time
The event could have been better , if we were just on the island when the chrome spread and we also shoot the harrald and then the island would evplode and launch us out , and the event would continue as it did , but if they just made it less like a creative map it would have been much better
The game's far from dead. millions of people still log on every day. But do agree that this event was the worst one EVER. I overestimate did it since it was a Chapter Finale. No, alk we got was challenges. Such a waste of 40 minutes of my life.
im so sad the event was bad, the event was clearly rushed, as bad as it was i feel bad for the people who created the event because they probabky had no time. as bad as the event was atleast the music was fire and new map looks sick
The event was TOO interactive! It would better if we just have to spectate with our character like from the Travis Scott event, or like Ch2 S7 Live Event. Those were the best imo
This was Fortnite’s most crappy live event of all time. It had so much potential and they fricked it all up. Instead of watching what’s the Paradigm was doing, we got to hear her talk about it. Epic should be ashamed of how little work they put in this season and I really hope the new map is good or I might uninstall. EDIT: I personally feel that epic has redeemed themselves slightly with an interesting new map and motorcycles. However, with the only semblance to the old map we knew and loved being that the terrain is a bit blockier like in OG Fortnite, it just feels like a totally new game! Its hard to get used to this map but I hope people are liking this and I’m really wondering what’s next.
It's the worst event so far compered to the others. (almost worse than the Star Wars one, for those who even remember it existed.) And the worst part of it, is that people can exactly, and perfectly, recreate the whole event in creative 2.0, wich screws up everything! Since THIS was made by Epic, that should have done what only EPIC GAMES can do, (like the unique gameplay of Collision, or The Devaourer Of Worlds.) with all their employees working on Fortnite, not making it with creative, just to promote it, that just a few people togheter could remake entirely. That is why it's the worse one yet but, you can still enjoy it for what it is, (if you didn't crashed, like a lot of other people) even if anything else is better. (Aside for the Star Wars one.)
There was a huge difference between the black hole and this event, the black hole event was executed so much better. It was more emotional and was a big lead up to the chapter but this event just didn’t do it.

A lot of people had years worth of memories tied to it before that event and the presentation as well as choice of music made a lot of people reflect on the fun they had with close friends or friends they no longer talk to. A very very simple concept but edgy internet people trying to act cool because they felt nothing get upset that other people had experiences they can’t process.
at least epic should have made the first 20 minutes of us attacking the Herald and then we reforge chapter 4 but what we get is 2-4 minutes of watching the chapter 3 map getting destroyed by the Herald and then reforge the chapter 4 island. we didn't get to see bytes, all of the seven, the vault wasn't even opened and jonsey wasn't even their. it was kinda fun but it's still a bigass dissipoiment. I just can't wait for chapter 4
Ngl after live events include cut senses I feel like it went down hill it kinda became boring and not that exiting anymore. Also, it’s like the interaction is just to much. I like the event being interactive but it’s just to much and made it boring. Am I the only one thinking this?
This event was overhyped. The map was just blown up and forgotten. Also, 40 minutes of doing chores seemed pretty boring in my opinion. The only bits I enjoyed were the flashbacks and the cutscenes. Was really boring at about 3/4 way through I gave up having fun. This event reminded me of the Soundwave series. Pretty awful event. 3/10
This live event was awful, it was like over 40 minutes why couldn't past events be longer literally would've liked if we got to fight Herald and not watch a little clip of islanders getting destroyed. Quite disappointed Epic but the map and potentially the season will make up for it.
If the whole “collecting” thing only took like idk 3-5 minutes it wouldn’t be so bad.. it would be a mini game type thing, as well as a strong part of the storyline mixed in at the end. 👨🏽🦯
ngl this live event was wayyyyyy to hyped for what it was. i can see why people have been calling it a "45 minute waiting room." like it was way more fun watching a robot and an abomination fight vs running around aimlessly collecting fragments that dont do anything as you could just wait 5 minutes and the zero point would do its thing.
I like when sypher doesn’t know what’s going on. Gave off the impression he knew all that was happening before it happened and nothing surprised him. Epic probably told all these guys about the event but I personally like watching sypher experience everything for the first time.

by far the most visually appealing event, but it definitely could've used more cinematic scenes. there was a lot of disorienting gameplay with all of those quests, but it was undoubtedly fun to explore. on a lore-wise note, did the herald just... kill herself with chrome? it seems like she fell into the reality tree and solidified, but why? i don't get that part. previous cinematics have clarified that chrome can be controlled when the herald literally morphed from chrome into herself, so you'd think she could do vice versa without freezing in place. fortnite's lore will always be confusing, so i won't question it too much. cool event, confusing lore, good game.
@C-Jay visually its was the best.. also i get tired of the same tropes of villians losing cause they spend time talking and giving a monologue of their plans. then LOSE before nearly almost winning xD herald on the other hand.. zero fks giving.. didnt even attempt to talk to us or anything.. didnt even really actknowledge us.. ignored our attacks AND didnt even bother attacking us.. 😂 people call it a battle.. butt if u ask the herald.. would she consider it even a fight.. she literally DID NOT CARE ABOUT US 😂 she straight up just slapped the tree.. no fks givin at all about us.. xD and won and easily too.. like TOO EASY.. thats a refreshing thing tbh.. if the cube queen talked less and took a page from the herald... we have lost completely then too 😂 same with most big bads.. in fact i dont even consider the herald a big bad.. she seemed completely indifferent.. not good or bad.. just doing a job.. 😂 usually we "save the world" then clean up the aftermath after we beat the big bad and celebrate.. in long cinatmatic and etc this time thats not the case.. battle was instant.. no chance.. and we dont get to cheer and have to look at utter destruction.. and its GOOD TO SEE... this alone for me is why this is the best.. people say it was "underwhelming" well i see it as the herald was SO "overwhelming" she bodied us literally in seconds NO EFFORT... xD tbh im now more hyped for her if she comes out of the tree in the future.. 😂 i like the idea that we where so unprepared and didnt really understand the heralds power.. that we got TEAM WIPE instantly xD she SOLO'd the WHOLE LOBBY.. xD the rest of the event of us doing questing ina visually beautify "time in space" i was like "damn she really just one shotted all of us and left us with "nothing" around us to remind us WE TRASH.. " xD when i put one of those chicken in the chicken farm i was like "damn she really actually fk us so hard we have to do fetch quest... that bitch literally kick the cinamatics ass that it left and we got left with clean up duty" xD
@Melody a lot of these fortnite antagonists seem to have a kink with destroying reality. i mean, the idea of villains trying to destroy anything and everything is a cool concept, and it definitely does make these live events more action-packed, but it becomes less cool once you start to think of the outcome. i don't see why villains see it as appealing to want to try and destroy their own plane of existence unless they're some sort of nihilistic demon who hates life and themselves. reality domination seems more reasonable, not fockin' reality annihilation.
@n o I mean The Nothing's whole game is for there to be nothing left. Not even a case of their faction being the last ones standing. When you take power from and team up from something who's whole goal is the destruction of all of reality, you gotta expect you'd die with em. We saw Bytes was kinda corrupted and taken over, so it's likely The Herald lost her choice in the matter when she foolishly took power from The Nothing, who wanted her dead just as much since she exists
@Melody 1) this felt like a lame excuse to get rid of chapter 3 early, what with the map exploding for no reason, y’know? 2) more time and it being intractable doesn’t mean the event is good. 3) I agree the trailer looked cool, but that was probably 1 of the ONLY redeeming factors to this event. This event felt like a creative map except with some videos before and after it. That’s not what an event should be. I’m sorry, but I disagree.
@Ninety huh, so the chrome is some sort of hive mind to the Nothing? it's kind of cliché how he chose to destroy all chrome right as the herald became engulfed in chrome herself. it's like one of those supervillains who betray the sidekick to make sure they don't interfere with their plans type of thing.
This event was my favorite since we actually got to be apart of building the map, also yall should've knew we wouldn't be fighting the Chrome since the description said that we would be reforging reality.
I'm just dissipointad that it was like a creative themed event and not like a battle with the herald event. Also Midas didn't even make an appearance. Or Jonsey. Or The Foundation

The Ageless is not Geno at all, it's just his snapshot left to rule this reign, while the real/original Geno, is outside the loop, doing other things, and piloting the IO.
So disappointed in the event. Literally no point in even doing the small challenges and collecting the fragments did nothing. Just running around for a half hour for no reason.. then you get to see the map briefly. I appreciate them putting out an event and love they went long at 40min… but it was just completely boring. I expected more flow of watching then participating in different ways/scenes. I just think they could have done more.
The only cool part of the event was the flashbacks to past events. We should’ve had an interactive fight with the herald honestly. Chasing fragments just wasn’t it.
Herald’s character was wasted in the event it took atleast 30 minutes of collecting stuff, peoples games were crashing and this was a chapter event. Definitely think that this was the worst event that we’ve seen.
this event was so lazy, I really hope it's because Chapter 4 is really a total rework of fortnite, if just the same game with new weapons that does the same and a new island then this game it's over, I don't see the level of innovation that we got from ch1 to ch2, event thr graphics changed that time, now everything looks the same since ch 2
The live event was underwhelming for many reasons. (very long essay) 1. All that build up with the Paradise and Bytes quests didn't bear any fruit. Jonesy was nowhere to be seen, and Bytes didn't play a part as an evil henchman alongside the Herald. 2. The island's destruction was so sudden, it feels rushed. That island has been our home for at least 3 years, and that's how it goes? Epic didn't even bother adding more ripple effects or a slo-mo as we zoom out and see everything get thrown into the universe. We saw the Zero Point lose it's light and honestly I think that they should've kept it dormant for at least a minute or so. It recovered so quickly. Also, although very random, they shouldn't have scrapped the Mothership coming to collect the Zero Point. It would've added more impact. 3. There are still no resolutions as to where The Foundation is. The Vault was destroyed with the island, and the rest of the Seven Members were not seen. There was only a brief mention of The Scientist and that's it. Paradigm was there, sure, but seriously.. that's it from them? 4. The whole "Collect Zero Fragments" segment of the game was just a snooze fest. I personally missed the first 30 minutes of the event and I realized that I didn't even miss much, and my friends said the same thing. Sure they showed bits of the OG map, but that's honestly just pandering towards the audience's need for nostalgia. All in all, the event would be a solid 2/5 for me. It was boring and didn't deliver as it promised. The hype was over exaggerated. All those "Nothing" threats really turned out to be nothing in the end.
I wish the game could go to its good old days, I honestly wouldnt mind an end event 2.0, I don't play the game as often now but damn this was disappointing

It was a bit sad and lame seeing 2 chapters gone like this, but I want to remind, that the chrome IS a real menace, having direct contact with The Nothing, that can do things like this really easily.

I'm gonna say this, the live event was not good, no good action and for 45 mins it was just quests with the same things happening, also no " chapter ending" or "the end/fracture" vibes
Yeah the event sucked only because of the tasks and also the servers crashed. But I freaking lived how it looked and what happened actually seeing the Zero point reconstruct the island and reaching out far for the different peices eventually reaching into different dimensions.
