Not sure about the species of this fish as I am no expert on the subject but some carp are frightened by the motor and jump out of the water in an attempt to avoid whatever they perceive the boat to be. In areas that have heavy populations of such fish, it can be dangerous to travel by motor boat with so many breaching the water simultaneously.
@Violetspider I am very familiar with Asian carp, but I am not exactly sure what you mean by "Carp Apobolipse" Other than its obvious meaning that these fish are friggin everywere
Looks like an Asian silver carp. They're the ones that go airborne when you drive a boat around them. Many times they will barrage the boat in great numbers.
Oh yea absolutely. we are seeing one of the biggest most lopsided population blooms in history. Ive read statistics that say 95% of all the fish mass in the river is now asian carp, and I beleive it. just look at all the vides I have of these jumping in the boat. most of those are from failed fishing trips tryin fish for catfish or sauger... and why is it I cannot catch those fish but I can literally catch asian carp falling out of the air.... im sure in 100 years they will be normalized but its a crazy situation out there till then
