You missed the one moment that actually had me laughing out loud!!! When Alfred is trying to stop Batman from accessing his computer and Alfred explains he knows Bruce's secret password as "Alfred the Buttler, with two T's"...the laugh that Batman does is so hysterical!!

Another win for this movie is actually having a good Joker - Harley relationship: instead of the two being locked in a toxic romance, they're more like best friends that enjoy being there for each other. I like how Harley's really supportive of Joker's feelings about Batman. Whenever Joker starts to give one of his dramatic speeches to Batman, Harley's off to the side acting as his hype-woman, the way best friends do. It's just great, and for once Harley isn't a victim of severe abuse. Also, I just love Jenny Slate.

@merrique If it's portrayed as a bad do not do thing then they should Just like with characters dying and other real life things They need to be shown good things in a good light and bad things in a bad light Especially with how many people are just putting their kids in front of phones and TV's today instead of actually parenting The stance of "oh no, don't so bad things" is a bad mentality that can lead to the bad things

Joker's dynamic with Batman have a romance subtext has long been a part of the character, the Dark Knight was just the most well known take on it. Something else I love about this movie is how it takes how Alfred often views Batman as a son and thanks to Batman's childishness, the two of them truly feel like father and son.

How many times this movie references Batman '66 makes me fan girl because it was the gayest and didn't have the hate-love relationship, but more of an equal interest dynamic. They both loved messing with eachother, complimented eachothers genius a crap ton, and it's my favorite. But the fact that this video ignored all of the relationship scenes between Batman and Joker, one of the best "sub-plots" (ig you could call it) angered me so much.

I like how the checkovs shark repellent is a allegory for robin. “It wasn’t useless after all” pretty much perfectly describes the change in Batman’s thoughts about robin. He lets robin have it because he thinks it’s useless and expendable just like his first thoughts about Robin.

Wait I think I can phrase it better. "do not not dislike", so not dislike means like so you would phrase it "do not like". It'd be very interesting to see them do the Red Hood plotline as kid-friendly as possible. I imagine Joker capturing Jason in an unknown location and showing him that Tim Drake has become the replacement Robin, like how it was done in Arkham Knight except without the horrible torture and murder part. It could actually work really well!

I don't think the one in 1966 would've killed anyone either. He had a sort of dangerous sense of humor (like a gun in a jukebox, threatening to electrocute, etc.) but just short of homicidal I think.

What I really liked about this is the gentle way it tries to say "Guys, we've hit a brick wall with the super-dark versions of Batman. He's become a self-parody. Batman has had lots of different phases over the years. He can lighten up a bit, even be FUN again, and still be *Batman.* " Sadly, I'm not sure if any other divisions of WB or DC were paying attention. :-/

I'm VERY sorry to say that when my friend and I first saw this, I fell asleep about 15mins in, and woke up just after the four of them reunited before the big fight. I went back and watched it once it was available online and my GOD did I love it. Such a well made film. It was hysterical, clever, and I'm pretty sure literally every iteration of Batman was played homage too, and yes I'm including Team Starkid's "Holy Musical B@man!" in that (that dance number at the end, and the plot point of even including all the lesser villains just feels like it's not a coincidence).

1 legos sounds weird so lego and 2 the lighting in this animated movie is f***ing amazing it does really set the mode and shows how much time and effort the animators put in to make such a detailed movie that hardly any of the viewers would notice

One of my favorite small parts is when Batman and Robin first get the the Fortress of Solitude and Robin needs to climb up to break into the vent, but it's so easy for him that he just starts doing the worm for no reason. God I love that part.

Joker's infatuation with Batman has been a running theme of their relationship for a long time. I first picked up on it in Arkham City, where Joker pretty explicitly flirted with Batman. The New 52 comics also deal with this interpretation of their relationship, with Zero Year establishing it, Death of the Family being the climax of it, and End Game being the end of it. Death of the Family actually dealt with many of the same themes as the Batman Lego Movie, though obviously it was a much darker and mature interpretation of it.

Usually when i watch a movie, it feels like everything just happens kinda fast and at the end i feel sorta empty. But with this movie i actually felt every moment, if you know what i mean.

Honestly this movie made a big impression on me--and that primary reason was that they somehow illustrated Batman's incessant desire for isolation, and his challenges forming familial relationships given what happened to his parents, in such a surprisingly poignant way that felt like it covered... just about every iteration of Batman. I truly hadn't expected to get emotional over a LEGO movie and it certainly exceeded my expectations. Thanks for putting it into words!

I love these stop motion-esque animations. It makes me look at stop motion in totally different ways and it’s so artistic and creative. It’s incredible that a LEGO movie has been pulled off really well twice in a row now.

I like how Batman goes from Computer to Puter. Also in the voice actor/cast thing it says Puter….Siri I loved this movie a lot it had more humor and I enjoyed it more than The Lego Movie, although The Lego Movie was enjoyable, just not as much as The Lego Batman Movie. I loved your Vice City reference, I feel the same way.
