I don’t understand why people don’t like Andrew Garfield Spider-Man, in my opinion his Spider-Man has the best fight scenes

best movements as well. and Andrew is tall enough, lot closer to the Ultimate Spider-Man

Physically in terms of his physique I think he fits the role the best and I love the suit however I feel while Andrew Garfield is a good actor and as Spider-Man he plays the role well his Peter Park feels way too “cool” and not at all like a real teenager. However that’s probably just the way he was directed to act not really his fault. I don’t like some of the romantic improv. Overall I far prefer Tom Holland but then again I am younger(17) so I probably don’t have that feeling nostalgia from the old movies even though I did watch them when I was younger
EasilyPullinUpFromDeep
@Mark Neill Music Tom’s Spider-Man was implemented to suit the MCU. He was brought in at a time when Thanos was around so his progress was rushed to properly incorporate him into the story. Relationship between him and Stark is cool but it takes away from how Peter Parker became Spider-Man. That’s the only thing holding Tom’s illustration back, the others had solid origins but TASM comes out on top cause the original Spider-Man had to cut corners cause it was made in 2002.
Mark Neill Music

@EasilyPullinUpFromDeep I think those are some very valid points but I would argue we don’t need another Spider-Man origin story. We know his story we know his character we’ve seen time and time again how he comes into being and the effect that has on his character. I think rather than beating a dead horse over and over again choosing to focus on his development from there onwards was a smart decision

Watching Flash be the "bigger man" right after Uncle Ben's death is one of the most unnerving perspective shifts; the subtle reference to how Flash uses violence as a coping mechanism as well, his willingness to temporarily be a punching bag to help Peter - it throws we the audience on our head as we realize just how lost Peter has been since his parents' deaths. Combined with the horror film that occasionally shines through in this film, I think the tone and perspective of TASM1 is one of the most fascinating in all of the films.

Something about this version of Uncle Ben struck a cord with me way more. He felt like a real person, an old working man who struggles to communicate with his young nephew, who he loves as a son. Watching him die was heartbreaking.

@CaiG True but the characters in the original trilogy were far more entertaining and fun. I loved how even irrelevent people like the newspaper guy who hated spiiderman and his assistants all were shown frequently and characterized.

Actually didn't think there was anything wrong with this movie. To be honest we've had such crappy movies. I think since this with the exception of maybe endgame but after that everything just went downhill If somebody made a movie like this and then had it play in the theaters I'd go see it because it's actually quite good I've been out of the states for 18 years and I'm really disappointed about movies and comic books Sadly because people are pushing political correctness and inclusivity. I mean damn everyone's becoming gay lesbian and a whole bunch of other things I'm not even familiar with. This is just completely off the topic but damn it scared the hell out of me. I saw a Captain America and flash and some kind of drawing and they were too gay guys. I'm so tired of people wanting representation. Like I thought it was a great idea to have Miles Morales be the new Spider-Man it was awesome and still is They're making a sequel to the multiverse I just don't like other comic book characters being hijacked and having their gender and sexuality changed I think it's lazy and if the lgbtq community wants their own gay characters they can make them That woman was actually a love interest for Bruce Wayne in the 1950s but yet in 2008 they turned her into a lesbian why because apparently someone from the lgbtq community had to be represented Wouldn't it be more epic if they could create their own? I'm just going to say it for pretty much humanity nobody wants to watch a gay superhero. I'm sorry but they don't. Nobody wants to see them acting out publicly in any way shape or form. People from the lgbtq community they can live their lives. Most people in the world really don't want to see it.

One of my favorite little details in this movie is from Flash. He didn't just say he was sorry for Peter after Peter picked him up, he was coming to talk to him, probably to apologize for how he'd treated him before and offer his condolences. And then at the end of the movie, he and Peter are friends. They're talking about hanging out right before Peter waits for Gwen to pass before walking to class.

I love when Peter is trying to ask out Gwen and he says a lot of words awkwardly without actually getting to the question, and she’s just smiling adoringly, you can tell she loves that he’s nervous about it and she likes him even more for it

I love how this film treats spiderman as a vigilante rather than 'superhero' . Like he is still figuring out his morals and some of the stuff he does is even questionable to the audience but only to the extent that you are still rooting for him. Also, Peter chooses to use darker colours in the suit and darkened eye pieces which matches this milestone on becoming a 'crime fighter' aswell as making sense in the way he is being more stealthy and careful at this point with a lot of night scenes he is supposed to be blending in to. In that sense, the suit is more realistic (disregarding the fact a single teen made this) all while being still Faithfull to the comic book suit we all know and love

I’m so glad that I was just the right age to experience and remember all three Spider-Man series. Sure this amazing series wasn’t good but Andrew and Emma really carried the series hard and her death scene really got to me. Now that we have No Way Home to basically be the third film for Andrew and fourth film for Tobey, both which were supposed to happen but didn’t for pretty dumb reasons but it truly all worked out for the best for everyone.

I will always love how this movie did the lizard. Not just making him a brutishly strong beast, but also allowing him to keep his hyper intelligence. Seeing him create a bomb like it was second nature was both amazing and horrifying. Also his more humanoid face. Not only is it just.. creepy, but it lets you see him progressively become less human. His first appearance, he smirks and smiles, almost taunting them, but by the end his personality has regressed to a territorial lizard

I think that the only thing that held this movie back was it's pacing, and that it would've been a lot better to complete the story of TASM 1 in 2 movies, or a mini TV-series. Because, truly, this movie had the best interpretations of characters, and understanding their purpose in the story. They had better fight scenes, and, in my opinion, much better acting than the other 2 variations of Spider-man. I truly do believe that if they fixed the pacing, this movie could've been considered the BEST among the three. One simple thing brought it so far down....

12:00 I feel like you missed an opportunity to bring up the fact this reflection setup is an actual therapeutic method of dealing with phantom pains of missing hands/arms. The patient looks at the reflection of his existing hand, and the brain comprehends that as seeing the missing hand still existing, allowing it to be more accepting of the bodily changes and letting it let go of the assumed pain. It's a simple but powerful way to trick the mind.

9:01 I would like to point out a line in 13 Reasons Why said by Tony. "Does this make you God?" While yes, Peter was responsible in a cause and effect kind of way, he never could have realised that Ben's death would take place due to his recklessness. He should not blame himself for something he couldn't control.
Spikem59
Spikem59 2 yıl önce
It's not about whether he is responsible in a malicious way that he could have known, it's about the nature of your actions causing a bad outcome and the effect it has on the human psyche. He shouldn't blame himself because he couldn't have known what was going to happen, but it's in his nature as "just a normal guy" to feel like it's his fault, to blame himself. All of us who have lost someone that we could have made a difference in their fate had we just done one thing differently can relate to Peter's dilemma here.

The darker take on Spidey is something that makes these movies stand out when compared to the Maguire and Holland movies, and I think Andrew Garfield is an amazing Spider-Man (Pun fully intended). really appreciate the analysis on uncle ben's lines and peter's distractions, because that stuff was done very well in the movie. This movie is extremely underrated.

This is the reason I really like this movie because you've actually seen him like not being able to use his powers and he doesn't know what the hell's going on. But then like the way he fights is pretty freaking awesome

This is still my favourite live action Spider-Man movie, and I'm so glad that you finally did a video on it. I love the cast, I love the characters, I love the chemistry, I love the story, I love the direction, I love the message, and I love the progression and development of the story and the characters, that you elaborated on so well here. Prior to this I had watched the '94 cartoon series and the OG films, and I had enjoyed them sure, but this movie and every single thing about it really made me a Spider-Man fan. It takes it's time building Peter by tearing him down, and only then does it make him stand, help him out, make him the Peter that so many people love. I also absolutely love how instrumental Gwen becomes to the story. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have cemented themselves as my ideal Gwen and Peter. This movie, while yes not perfect, it's amazing (pun definitely intended) in so many ways, and everyone involved with it did such a tremendous job with it, that I'm always gonna love it, it resonates with me so much. P.s. I was 19 when I first watched, so thank you for thinking of that in the video. :P

Dude, actually. I feel the same way. I was 17, on a verge in my life, deciding career. So confused. Watching Peter in it, I became too connected to him. A character development that people should appreciate. It deserves much more love and respect as a film.

It was ok for me it was hard knowing that the Tobey Maguire movies ended or should I say canceled, when I was 8 years old seeing the amazing spider-man 1 movie in theaters I was pissed when I found out it was Andrew Garfield instead of Tobey Maguire

I think a slight touch to the movie could’ve been Peter hugging flash when he apologizes. Would’ve shown peters conflicting emotions and just trauma as a whole. Showing he doesn’t know what to think

I love the Tobey Trilogy because it was fun and I love Tobeys performance. I love the Amazing duo because of the mystery with Peters's parents and Andrews performance. I love the MCU films because Peter is a kid(well teen) and reminds me of myself a little bit, playful smart, a nerd and I love Toms performance.

This movie was genuinely great when I rewatched it recently and was a solid introduction to the rebooted Spidey of the time. Then Andrew comes in No Way Home and absolutely crushes the part. :)

After watching Spiderman No Way Home and re-watching the beginning of this when he mentioned Tobey's back, I found a Easter egg in No Way Home when Andrew cracks Tobey's back. Don't know if other people ready knew it, but I haven't heard about it.

An idea I had about incorporating skateboarding into Peter was that it was a cheap and fast method of travel. Bikes can be expensive and easily stolen (primarily because Flash enjoys picking on Peter). So having a skateboard lets him keep an eye on it at all times. Plus, they seem easier and cheaper to fix than bikes

Cinema Sins doesn't pay attention to details, then makes it the movie's fault. They also lie to their fans to make sins for the movie, and they paint their faults as satire. Only on occasion, they are right with a sin. They aren't so great right now. I'm glad Cinema Wins exist.

A lot of ppl complain about his parents consuming so time in the movie but i feel like they decided to do that for us to feel attached to them in someway or to somehow make us feel what peter is feeling, i find it effective especially in the second film where he feels like there's no one on his side anymore even i feel likes it's unnecessary but it doesn't ruin the movie that much... If we're gonn talk about tom, tobey, andrew being spiderman alone disregarding the movie they're in, they all did a great jod

the best thing about both of these is the chemistry between Peter and Gwen. They are actually a really cute couple and her death in the second one really hurts. You don't find that too often in blockbuster movies, where way too often people just get together "because plot".
