I would jsut justify the alexander second use by saying summoning an endless swarm of the other summons for radahn would have still beat him anyway lmao people always whined about prenerf radahn and even still whine about nerfed radahn when theyve let you swamp him down with unlimited summons the whole time XD

One fairly small but important correction to something you said in the video, picking up the Fingerslayer Blade isn't what kills Seluvis, it's giving it to Ranni that kills him and ends his questline. It's actually my routine to collect the blade before doing his questline. Which seems weird since the way you described it in the video you gave it to her after he died (if things are in order) but I have like...11 playthroughs in the game and did this in probably like 8ish of them (one of them just last week). His questline gives the Magic Scorpion Charm at the end which is a talisman I always go out of my way to get if I plan to main magic or spec into it later on.

I would say any in-arena summon that can be used more than once is still one summon tbh. The way the fight is engineered now summons are the alternative way to beat him, meaning the intended summons for the fight are anything you can scrape off the battlefield

Not only does he have new warriors in him (including, based on his Shard, some of Radahn), but he also lost his old warriors (they spilled out when Radahn hit him)

Watching those boys go ham with 2 bows makes my day every time I see it.

On my first run I used Redmane Knight Ogha against Malenia and he carried me pretty hard since he mostly stayed at a safe distance and his arrows kept knocking her down. Idk if he can solo her but if you keep aggro and parry often it might be possible.

I had the exact same experience haha. Always got my hopes up until she used that cursed move

@Cyto Yeah u can make em more goated with mods, one of them I installed allowed me to make a Masoleum summon but instead of 5 it was 10 soldiers

@RaptorxRise adding more AoEs has been a trend in DS2 and DS3 as well, so you can't really say that's the cause. Same thing with duo fights, it was just a way to create more bosses effortlessly rather than some kind of strategy. And again, AI is as stupid as it ever was, it doesn't handle multiple opponents any better than before, in fact it doesn't handle them at all.

@Archimedes5000 No if it wasnt made with summons in mind then there wouldnt be so many duo fights and bosses with giant aoes. The problem is that they didnt commit to anything and tried to balance a lot of the main bosses for 1v1 causing summons to vary from fair to OP not just between summons but also between bosses. Most spirit summons are actually far from op but the entire system is extremey unbalanced causing both extremes to be way too much in either direction. The sweetspot for fair and balanced summons is there its just really fkn small and varies between bosses. IMO Stormhawk deenh is a good example against a lot of single bosses. He is certainly helpful but doesnt trivialize anything or take anything way from a fight. I agree that summons are unbalanced but that doesnt take away from the fact that SOME fights were defintely made with them in mind (Godskin duo and valiant gargoyles being the two best examples)

@Spirto1 except the game wasn't made with summons in mind. Ai is as shit as ever against multiple opponents, and most spirit ashes are simply OP

@Hunter Owl dungeater and tiche can solo pretty much every boss in the game and have insane support abilitys tiche reduces max hp and deals % dmg and dung eater is increadibly tanky deals bleed and reduces defence

I think the conversation should have been more about which summons were OP as opposed to just saying "booooo screw all summons". Mimic was definitely broken and dung eater is questionable to this day tbh. Mimic was only so bad because of how broken the core games builds are though.

@♛ August ♛ I think the Devs felt bad about Godskin duo, so they gave the players duos to summon as well. In this case, it’s “Albinauric Duo”.

@Cyto the rolling around seems to stagger a lot of enemies for me, if they both cartwheel onto someone they are gonna get messed up, obviously this doesn’t apply to bigger enemies and most bosses but I’ve seen them “solo” a lot of bosses in catacombs or dungeons, maybe I’ve just had good luck with them though

Yeah agree. Beastmen are very glass cannon-y. High dps and stagger but low HP. The other problem is you get them soooo late

I believe you're thinking of the Putrid Corpse summon. I'm pretty sure they spawn at a set spot each time.

Yeah someone else mentioned this too. I only used the rats a couple times so never noticed. I think I tried virtually every other summon but it's possible I missed one

Yeah I didn't know this but apparently those 3 summons always spawn on the "buddy pillar". Pretty interesting.

@Cyto Can confirm, fought Radahn underprepared and simply ran out of summons. I think it is around 10 / summon. Still winnable, but depends on RNG a lot.

@Rawbi jeez, someone's angry that someone left a comment agreeing with someone else lol. i never said i wasn't able to keep aggro, i just said she gets destroyed if you can't keep aggro, so there's one absolutely stupid argument you made. the other stupid point you made is that you can just use spells and ranged weapons to keep the aggro. No, not everyone can use them because they depend on your attributes and also your weight from armour and weapons you're already using. so basically everything you just said was stupid and you got mad over a comment on the internet saying someone else had a point, good job showing your insecurities lmao

@mjw690 And the issue is what? You are unable to keep the bosses aggro? No, invalid excuse. There are over 100 ranged attacks in game, half of which cost no Mana to use. The way that aggro works is that a boss will target the most consistent and damaging threat. If you are too incompetent to hold the bosses attention then ofc the summon isnt going to do that for you. This is the whole reason the mimic tear is the most popular, it holds aggro for you. This allowing you to avoid the true wrath of the boss. So if you two are just crutching on OP builds and equipment instead of learning how the mechanics of the game work, than Ofc Latenna will be useless to you. You genuinely have no idea what you are doing. Is your next argument going to be that you refuse to use mausoleum soldiers because they don't have heads? Headass.

@Rawbi they're not wrong though, Latenna's legs don't work, so unless you constantly keep aggro she just gets pummeled into the ground

Thanks! I def agree, I would have loved to show off a wider range of ashes but doing this run legit takes a lot of time and can be limiting. I'm testing a few different ideas that would allow me to showcase more of the 50+ ashes - it's such a well implemented mechanic.

Oh nice comment. So I tried Ogha but killing Tree spirits in this run is miserable but that's good to know. Also yeah, I wish I had used more 'summons' like Shabriri or Milicent but I just dropped the ball there.
