I'm old enough to remember Prime playing a NFL game and then flying to play in the World Series for the Braves that same night. He was a dude you loved to hate because of how darn good he was.
I was at that game too , everyone in fulton county stadium was talking about it. Man I remember how they would chalk line over the baseball field. A few times deion even flew in a helicopter ! We were big fans of chris miller too ..... those were the days when winter would actually be cold ! Lol
... 🔊 ... PREACH Brother ! ... Other Coach lost that game LONG BEFORE Deion & his team SHOWED UP ! ... He wanted Deion to Bow Down before him to pay him 'HOMAGE' or something for his 'longevity' ? ! ... He felt some kind of way about he being where he was for so long ... But Prime shows up & surpasses him in just a few years ... Bottom Line , Deion & his team showed up to WIN & that's ALL it was about ... & that's All it SHOULD'VE Been About ... He 'WANTED' to make an 'lssue' out of it ! ...
Dude just oozes charisma. Young people probably don’t understand how talented he was when he was younger. One of the best cornerbacks ever and probably would’ve been a multi-time All-Star if he committed to baseball. Fucking legend.
@kutaboveperfection amen me too! I was born in 1973 and loved watching Bo Jackson, Jerry Rice, Brent Fullwood, Walter Payton, and all the greats! I miss the 70s and 80s so much!
@Autigers2013 Bo was probably Deions only idol that he says was greater than himself as far as best athlete of our time. I totally agree with that and have respected Deion ever since for acknowledging that fact. Bo was my idol growing up in the 80's playing baseball and football as well. Bo Jackson's career was taken too soon from him and was a tough pill to swallow watching that happen like that.
Prime even gets everyone hype off the cuff in a post-game interview. One of the few people in the world with a huge ego and is legend enough to back up every word.
@P H It will be exciting to see what Prime can do with a FBS school in a Power Five conference. There is no question he will attract more talent than they ever have in the past, but seeing if they can hang with the SEC powerhouses will be interesting to watch.
Backing up every word is very easy when you have a much more talented team. Truly excited to see how much he is able to continue the successes on the field when the other team is just as talented. Just some food for thought. Backing up every word in his young coaching career has been easy to this point, and that’s an understatement. All opinions tho. One love.
Coach Prime is a special special person. It’s like he’s made from sense confidence and talent. His abilities were unreal when he played and he’s just as sharp mentally.
@king2 Thank you!!! He SCREWED a neighbor of mine. Dude was Promised a Scholarship to Texas Southern for Track. He LOST his scholarship after a year and is a part time lifeguard now. Prime pretty much went GHOST on him when he reached out. Struggling to pay for Grad School now. SMH.
@Samuel TullisYou right! Well said! Deion was a young player that had seen all sides of what being a gridiron star was like . The good, the bad and the ugly!!!. He went from a talented youngsta to a pro player headed for self destruction. He PUBLICLY repented and found his way back to Christ.... and has been blessed by God for doing so!!! From college to the pros....who better to lead/guide young black men into adulthood. He's not telling them what he HEARD but what he KNOW'S !!!
@MrB Coach Deion Sanders is using his strategy to fulfill long term goals for Jackson State University, and The HBCU Universities all around, academically and sports alike, to attract more students to attend An HBCU University
Loved Prime when he was batting leadoff for the Braves and then running all over the Eagles. Prime is an extremely bright human being and a true American treasure that we get to live in the same time period with.
He's gonna be a great politician some day. He knows how to make you believe he means what he says, even though he doesn't. All about $$ just like everyone else
This interview is classic. I was salesman did we sell the game out? I love it “I don’t need nobody to motivate me” Prime is about that football life, very intelligent, and caring!
He did exactly what he wanted to do he got under your skin and that’s probably why the score was a way it was, he’s a master at getting in your head. He is good for the game he will sell out stadiums and he will bring whatever school he’s with to the top of their game and the media will eat him up the whole time, great player, great coach, great salesman, great distraction
I remember going to a Cowboys practice…Prime was 1st on the field and the last to leave…he has always been the real deal…I love how he runs and motivates his team…he has created a JSU fan here in the Midwest
“When another team is trying to score on you, don’t you want to score on them” WOW… leave it to Prime to show me a whole new perspective on football… love it!
Glad I got to see the other side of the story. If prime time can get you motivated nobody can. It's who he is. I don't see anything wrong period with what happen and I don't blame either of them. Congrats on the win Prime and I'm sure this will be forgotten
Coach Prime is SWAC! I attended a Big Ten and leaving there going to Alabama A&M University, one of the best SWAC has to offer! 😊 Love me some Coach Prime!🎉🎉🎉
@Flow Forever Coach Sanders--Jackson St, has always been on the map, you just happen to finally, find it.Jackson St, has always had a loyal following an that includes the rest of the Swac.
Honestly haven’t watched a SWAC game since i was in high school. But this was really good. Southern U came to play LSU in the preseason and it was fun. Watching Prime and the SWAC come up is awesome. I wish this conference got more TV time and i honestly hope PT stays at least one more year to build some more notoriety.
When I first heard Coach Robinson’s explanation I took his side and understood why he was upset. But then Coach Sanders came out and answered each and every question with dignity and honestly and now I realize Coach Robinson is just a salty loser. Coach Prime hyped the game all week long and put butts in the stands. And when it was all said and done he walked across the field to embrace his fellow counterpart and was rudely accosted with a disrespectful shove. Shame on you Coach Robinsons. You need to set a better example for your team.
I can understand both points of view. Neither seem to be wrong here. Coach Prime is a competitor and a showman. And that kind of behavior can be so abrasive. But coach PT wasn’t in the wrong for anything he did. I think both sides were ok in their opinions. Man didn’t want to hug. He shouldn’t have had to hug.
Wow, I didn't expect that. Glad to see both of you in a great position to influence the direction of so many young people. I had no idea Mr. Eddie Robinson Sr. son was coaching 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Mr. Dion Sanders/ Coach Prime hats off to you, never a disappointment👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. From the abundance of ones heart the mouth speaks. Come on man, in time try to work this out; I look forward to that. Continue to motivate and fill the seats.
