I know one thing whoever was responsible for the design of that facility is amazing!!!. Every single detail in every room and down every hall way was immaculate. You can't take that away from CO, this thing is beautiful & bit overwhelming. Deion's gonna need a road map & his scooter back to get around this place.
so what? Have enough money, it will buy you anything. Boulder Colorado will destroy a person financially if you don't have the money to start with. I'm not impressed
This school laid out the red carpet! Impeccable facilities!! I can't blame him at all for moving into his next blessing!! We all should be celebrating this black man right now and giving him our full support. We shouldn't be tearing him down. This is amazing and he deserves all this!!
@Gary Bauer Understand that his race is particularly mentioned bcuz obviously in the black community there are few role models, so rare it's like spotting a unicorn. It's not against any other race; it's mere joy & pride inside your own historically downtrodden race.
@rude boyy boyy the people with the resources never want to focus on race. How would you explain the great difference in resources in the school he left and this school?
I'm a JSU alumnus (undergrad) and I was a bit angry with Coach Prime for leaving JSU so soon, but now that I see what he and his staff have moved on to, I cannot blame him for making the decision he made. He left an awesome legacy and an awesome challenge for the next JSU HC, but he gave the school and HBCUs a lot. We are grateful and we wish Coach Prime the best. What an awesome welcome. May God bless his time and each and every one of his days at Colorado. trvid.com/video/video-JbuKw1Mqi04.html
@Little Heck. Definitely a classy statement that you just made. I am NOT a JSU alum... but was thinking that it kinda sucked for him not to continue there. But in seeing this set up... it's clear that Coach Prime put in the word to deserve this. And now by doing this... he is also setting an example of what you can achieve when you put IN this kind of work into your own life. He will now also be recruiting kids from all across the country... and ultimately showing all of them what is possible when they put in their own work. Not only to what you can achieve on the football field... but in life beyond the gridiron as well. I'm excited to watch this next step in his journey... and be inspired along the way to up my own game. May even wind up going to my first CU Buffs game as well!
And just like that, Coorado Buffalo's football next season is instantly relevant and watchable. I will be tuning in at every moment! I hope he brings back their old legends ...Kordell, Bienemy etc to speak with the kids. This is awesome!
CU just hired as their New Coach the only man on the planet who's played in a Superbowl and the World Series.Even Bo and Mike don't know that . People forget how many things he's done that no one else has done. He played in 2 MLB playoff games ( ATL Braves ) and played in a NFL game ( ATL Falcons) in a 24 hour period ‼️ One of the greatest collegiate Coaches ever Bobby Bowden referred to him as the greatest athlete he ever Coached . And Prime won't have time for players with egos only kids who come to work hard . That do it the right way . Time for the Buffs to return to National relevance and he will be bringing back all the legacy players and NFL HOF'ers to speak to your kids .
Man, in his younger days he made his athletic feats look absolutely effortless. It was nothing but smooth lines and grace delivered lightning fast on both the diamond and the gridiron but you can see the price he paid here. It's tough when you see the all time greats like Prime and Bo revert back to mortals. Time remains undefeated.
His health now (particularly Prime's gait) has more 2 do w/ his circulation issues/two-toe amputation than aging. If not already, see his 60 Minutes interview on youtube.
That broght tears to my eyes when Deion on walked out to the stadium to see his new facility he deserves everything and more deoion is a professional at the NFL and college level get a man the respect he deserves
Been a cu fan for 33 years. Have had season tickets in my family for 65 years, can’t remember being more excited than this for a coach. It’s been sad seeing a once proud and strong program turn into rubble the past decade or so. For me cu football in the 90s is nostalgia and something I’ll never forget: if we could just get some of that back. It would be amazing man. So excited
A lot of players sacrificed their chances to play division 1 football 🏈 to play for Deion at Jackson state and I hope they get a chance play Div 1 football somewhere to get the exposure so recruiters can scout their talent for NFL football really gonna be interesting to see what 2024 season will look like for Colorado.
And while they take him on a tour of a campus that no HBCU will ever see the likes of, a family is preparing to bury their son that was found on JSU’s campus days before this was recorded. Coach Prime’s car was also broken into shortly after he came to JSU. As much as I hate to see him leave, he deserves a better platform for the talent that he possesses. I wish him nothing but the best and hope his new team dominates just as JSU did.
DEION deserves this just as much as any coach out there his talents will be measured on the field as before & DEION is always up for the challenge let's go get it Coach!!💯 🏆 Congrats 🎉
@David Lindgren men have addictive personalities and when we like something a little isn’t enough. Tell me David, do you think Prime tends to land on the less is more spectrum or the more is even better side.
@Silly Goose agree but he is also clearing a path for other coaches to become trusted partners in states that don’t have black leadership. Eventually the young men he is impacting will follow in his footsteps but will understand how fragile success and trust is
Respect to coach prime! Not only did he work for himself to make it to the big stage as a coach but took his coaches he coached with since youth ball with him throughout each stage , that’s respect!
I appreciate how his woman allowed him to digest this blessing that he's receiving stayed back and let him soak it all in real supporter it's a family change it's a life change and it's a big blessing
Florida State All American - Prime Time Born .. Atlanta Falcons 1st Round Select - Too Legit ... San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl Champion - High Stepin' .. Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Champion - Dynasty making... Colorado Buffalo Head Coach - In Awe of it all ...says nothing .. Buckle Up ... pac 12 !!
I'm proud of the move forward❣️ He's a great coach and with that, he has left behind the knowledge that carry them over to the top for years to come!!💪🏾💪🏾🏈🏈🏈
Welcome to COLORADO Mr. Sanders! I’d love to tour the facilities sometime! Been to Folsom field for games. To whomever made this video possible THANK YOU! GO BUFFS
Coach Prime’s speech made me (40 year old with no football experience) want to head to Boulder to play for him. Always loved him on the Cowboys and still have his Prime Time CD.
Congratulations Coach Prime!!👏🏽🙌🏾 Initially I was upset because of the kids that transferred to be under your leadership, but now I understand. You did an awesome job transforming JSU football program. For those if you still criticizing him, look at the bigger picture and look deeper into why he decided to make a transition. I am an HBCU graduate as well and I do agree we all need to donate and be more supportive as alumni, but.... the schools also need to better managing those funds. 😏 May God continue to bless you on your journey and future endeavors. 💪🏾🙏🏽
Deion was my childhood idol all day, I have #21 tatted on me since my baller days in high school and college football. I’m super excited for my guy! It does pain me to see him walk so gingerly like how is that humanly possible. I know my man will get better 💪🏾
As a Bama fan, I'm already scared of Colorado! I'm nearing 50, never played more than backyard and playground football, and Coach Prime makes me want to strap on some pads and give it my all. Colorado, I hope you realize how lucky you are to have him there, and look forward to meeting yall in the Natty soon (maybe you'll keep UGA out)!
So happy for Deion. JSU was a stepping stone---He knew what he was doing when he joined the faculty--JSU got more attention and enrollment spiked higher than ever before! Go PRIME do what's best for you and your family----COACH PRIME (It's an honor)
Let me be honest; last night, I went to bed with sadness. I woke up this morning with a clearer mind. When I thought about what Coach Prime accomplished in the three years at JSU, I realized that God had a reason for bringing Coach Prime to Jackson, Mississippi, and the mission God gave him will continue in Colorado.
This is amazing. Coach Prime,I'm truly happy for you. I can't blame you for your transition. You might not ever see this post, just so you know...I went to JSU and was a J Sette so u know how hard it was for me to see you leave us BUT, I do understand change and growth. I'm very greatful for your season with us. I wish you nothing but THEE best.
Deion has always been a traveling man. He does his job and moves on. I remember how he went from The A to the 49ers and then Dallas . We see what he did at his previous job what he did for that team. I really think Deion does this not for money but for his legacy.
This move isn’t just for Prime. He has coaches that have been with him for years… this move will set them up for success on a major level. Truth be told they weren’t getting paid at JSU what they’ll be getting paid in Colorado. Prime don’t need the money. He’s his brothers keeper 😤
Even though I’m a Coloradan, Michigan will always be my number one team. Buffs have always been my number two team. But I must admit, this is exciting. And it makes me happy that CU can do some bigger and better things now. Looking forward to some incredible games.
Wishing Deion Sanders, his children and Tracy all the best! He will always be Neon Deion to my generation. It gives me chills to now see he is in his "Prime"! I love it. 🥰❤💯
@Deion, I respect and admire how you included your sons in the new legacy building. You are truly one of the most au-mazing gifted human beings, businessmen/athlete I have ever known. I wish my Mom was still among us to witness what you have accomplished as a Coach and Leader. I am so proud of you. We’ve followed your baseball and football exploits for decades. “You showed JSU and others by example “how it should be done, period”. I salute, you, Sir. 💛💞❤️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Deion, you deserve it all…may the God of the Bible continues to bless you and your family, richly”.🙏🏾🙇🏾♀️
That’s gonna be a big talking point for Deion as a coach. “You have everything in the facility, you guys are pampered. There’s guys that wish they were in your shoes, if you don’t want to be here just let me know and I’ll get someone who wants to play cause they would love all this” 😂
You can how much of a wow is on his face. These kids have it all. I can tell how happy he is for his kids to enjoy all that. That means a lot to him. But you also know hes looking around like what.
Been a fan of deion yaw deserve every good blessing and love thanks for everything u doing and did in the Jack I was born a raised in mississippi I live in Longmont Colorado never been to a game out here but now I gotta come and meet u it's a mississippi colorado type thang baby 😆 ❤️💪🏿🙏🏿✊🏿💯
Coach Prime has never backed down from a challenge, and in most cases he's never lost in any of them. I'm so glad to see he's taking an opportunity with a school that will definitely get recognition or his work. And his foundation was with JSU, what a great job he did there. Time has shown at all of his football knowledge has led him to this position of coaching college football, and I believe it is his purpose. So wherever the Lord guide you to go, you go even though sometimes you may have a little doubt, or question it. But if it's the Lord's purpose for you you must follow it. God bless you coach Sanders. And I pray and hope for all the best for you and your new team. I love what you did at JSU. And I think you can do it again at Colorado. Swag has come to Colorado.
Congrats to Deion Sanders. Welcome to Colorado. Oh my god this is going to be epic. I support you all the way in forever. I am so grateful to see you, conquering all your blessings. 🫶🏾🙏🏾👍🏾🌹🏀⛹🏾🥇
@Hello The limp is due to his near life ending blood clot that he had going on and had to have a good portion of his lower leg muscle and tissue removed.
I agree, you can see the happiness in his eyes as they toured. I can imagine he said to himself that he arrived. He was faithful with Jackson, even with the little that they had, look how he was blessed with more. Coach Prime and family deserve it. I see that he was walking with a little limp? Maybe it’s such a big University to travel. By foot. He needs a golf cart, I’m sure they have one reserved for him. Congrats Mr Sanders! God bless you Sir.
Haven't watched Colorado football. Just know they aren't great. I'll be watching now. Ready to add this team to my teams to watch and root for. Hopefully Prime can do his thing!
Awesome! To see the journey in his eyes, coming up from little league to JSU to this beautiful facility. I can see why he wants to clean house and get players who are hungry! To come from JSU to this, knowing how much expense is in the program, they better be ready to work!
The fact that he set up his kids with an opportunity to excel….is the best power move of all times. Coach Prime is an excellent business man and father!
I’ve been in professional lockers rooms working with professional teams and their locks room locks better than a professional team’s locker room. That’s tough!
Prime did more for Jackson, Ms., Jackson State University, the SWAC, and the boys he helped shaped to become men of purpose than anyone I've seen in recent years. He fought through so many uphill battles that are very unique to HBCU's and their athletic programs. I can see why he had to actually "do" a lot of things on his own (especially with finances). It's good to see that a school such as this can put aside color and focus on the bottom line of a winning program. It's also going to be good to see just how far Prime can take this program having only to deal with developing talent and motivating them to win. With the battle of finances already won, coaching should be a easier process this time. God speed to you my brother and much success! 🙏🏿
Deion, your influence will be missed, and thanks for the JSU Memories, and the wins. Wish you well in Colorado. God bless you and keep God first. Out of respect for JSU and the players, I wish the announcement would have been made after the Celebration Bowl. (Canton, MS) 12/05/22
"I'm coming!!" I felt that all the way over here in Texas! I know those guys felt the magnitude of those words and know without a doubt he ain't playin'.
ME AS WELL I'LL PRAY FOR THE ONES WHO DIDNT FOR THEY BE SOULESS OR LESS THAN HUMAN IM GLAD I GOT TO SEE THAT CAUSE IVE NEVER BEEN A FAN OF#21 BUT AS MAN HE WENT STRAIGHT TO HERO JUST CAUSE OF THE GESTURE AND WHAT I FELT THAT WAS BEHIND IT THE LACK OF THAT IS WHAT WILL ALWAYS KEEP US DOWN HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS ☮️
No one should be blamed for aspiring to be the best they can be at all levels of their profession. I recall a coach in the SWAC indicating Coach Prime wasn't the SWAC, now that coach gets to take the reign and build upon "The SWAC" as indicated. Good luck! #HBCU
After his sons leave, he’ll leave. This is temporary folks. He don't need the money. It's for the love and support of his sons. Nothing more or nothing less.
Deion Coach Prime (GOAT) 🙌🏿, Will bring major talents and some multicolored top tier athletic humans to The Lillies of Colorado 🖤❤️💛💚🙌🏿 Cheers from Newport Beach, CA.
Man watching him walk he is still plague with that toe injury he fought through his career. I have developed a similar situation from my past and it is terrible painful from time to time and one big nuisance. His appears to have hit another level of aggravation long term.
I'm conflicted here on how to feel - on one hand I really loved what Prime was doing... and for what he brought to a garbage University - he turned them into champions. He was able to boost the recruiting... I had no doubts that he would leave after Shedeur was out - what I didn't account for - was that Shedeur and others are going to jump ship as well to go to Colorado... and that's where the conflict for me comes in. I have an issue with the athletes transferring... especially when you used the program to get to a point, now the program will undoubtedly sink back into the depths of nothingness... I really would have had a better feeling if Shedeur either declared for the NFL or was willing to stay put as an anchor for the program. The one thing that makes me think that I can't blame either of them for leaving at this point - when you can't get clean F'n water at the University. When basic services that are supposed to be provided - are that lacking, and he actually tried to intervene between that bonehead mayor and the other imbecile to no avail. On that note - you can't blame him for wanting to go somewhere nice. That said - he won't last more than 3 yrs here at Colorado... and it's not because he can't compete at this level - I think "he" personally has changed the way coaches need to coach their athletes... he's brought a lot of techniques and I'm talking off the field - and in that locker room... that's the game changer, that's where guys throw down and give heart and soul and leave everything they have for you on the field... but this University is mired with dark money, and boosters who can't stay out of the way... I just can't see that getting resolved... best of luck to him anyways. I think if he can make a turn around here - then he'll be able to bounce to a much larger SEC program... once he gets his feet down and figures out all the back alley crap that goes on with these major universities.
I thank Coach Prime for showing JSU and the entirety of HBCUs what is possible. He achieved more in 3 yrs at JSU than many coaches do in 10 or more. Perfect season - 1st time ever. College GameDay at JSU - 1st time ever. GMA appearance. New facilities, new practice field, and more people talking about HBCUs than I've seen in quite a while. This was never about him becoming an HBCU coach til he retires. He blessed us with showing just what's possible.
Why aren’t y’all protesting the removal of the President and other faculty members who misappropriated funds, etc. JSU needs to be recruiting a new administration team. If this is a systemic problem with HBCU’s, then a federal investigation needs to ensue. Before moving forward, we need some serious house cleaning going on. It’s about the KIDS, not the faculty. Building up from a solid foundation is of great necessity. ❤
@Bill Basco Grammatically your comment is absolutely terrible. Can you please reword your comment as well as use proper punctuation so what you're saying can be read?
