@CM2017 It's odd what you recall in life; it was the late 9Os; when the Marlins still played what was at the epoch "Joe Robbie Stadium". On the muddy infield, Zach had a pick 6 against the Steelers! ( I think Neil 0' Donnell threw it.) Zach was a splendid linebacker.
As a Browns fan I'd like to thank Chubb for making me smile once during this game with that run. That being said, the Dolphins are just better, through and through. No complaints. They play complete games, and we don't. That's the difference between a good team and a bad one. Good game Dolphins. Your division has our number. 👍
German Dolphins fan since my childhood in 1982, since an American family dad at the Sheraton Bal Harbor taught me the rules. For years I watched their games just out of nostalgia because they had no chance whatsoever to even win a wild card. It’s so satisfying to finally see us back with a quarterback that’s without a doubt the greatest talent since Marino. Without the concussion it would be an even better standing. Tua will get us into the Super Bowl!
bruh he never ran like that for us :(((((((( lowering his shoulder, my goodness. he was running possessed. happy for him and mostert, they might end up winning a superbowl
@BigSouthStrength Mitchell was our #1 rb on the depth chart before his injury. Now that Wilson is gone, I believe CMc is #2 depending on the play call. I'm gonna miss Wilson like Mostert when he left but I'm so happy for them being McDaniels as their coach and the team is doing great. Miami is my #2 team now lol. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they beat my Niners. I favor the Miami offense but I'm hoping our defense will play well also but I have a feeling McDaniels will come up something to stop them.
Tua's last 3 games: 75 of 98 for 969 yards, 9 TDs and no INTs, QBR of 134 to 137 in each of the 3 games. And now Miami's outside zone running game is kicking in with 195 yards rushing and 5.7 yards per attempt today.
I seriously believe that McDaniel's offense is going to change the league. In terms of play design, play calling and the type of people they hire. The only thing is that his offense wasn't clicking when Tua wasn't there. So I believe its the marriage of McDaniels, Tua, Hill and Waddle. If the dolphins play good enough and can rest their players for the final game, I'd like to see how the 3rd and 4th string wrs play with Thompson against a team that needs to make the wildcard
MIA wins once again and the Tua haters are punching in the air at the moment. The AFC East is turning into the toughest division in the NFL. Tua once again is proving more and more why he may end up being a great QB. Haters just can't stand it. Congrats on the win MIA 💪.
Not last week the little man was too small again for the moment. McDaniel pulled him out again worried about him getting hurt just like against the Texans….
@Lee Boy Okay, to deconstruct your response, it's a good one with some valid points. However, surrounding your QB with top tier talent which creates open spacing within the defense is a testimony to the talent around the QB, not the QB itself. Remove such talent, can they perform. Case in point, I bring up Dak Prescott a lot because he's a great comparison of Tua. Accurate passer, good game manager but you remove Zeke and you realize that the defenses dont fear Dak and his stats suffer. You brought up Rodgers but and cited Adams departure for the reason for Rodgers struggles - you also forgot that Cobbs is injured (Rodgers safety blanket), and I suspect that Rodgers is more pissed off with GB and has mentally checked out given what has transpired over there since they drafted a replacement QB for Rodgers in the first round and gave him no help, again. With the 11th ranked Oline, a top 5 RB, Watkins and Cobbs when healthy, there's no reason that Green Bay should be performing as bad as they are unless Rodgers just stopped giving af. As for Brady, you could chalk it up to Gronk being gone but Ill personally chalk it up to his age and him going through a public divorce. After all Tom is quite private. And finally, McDaniels offense is the same offense for all intent purposes as the one the Niners use. Jimmy G runs that offense as well and has put up great numbers. Odd how when he's available, no one wants him. After all, didn't he bring the Niners to the SB and constantly has success when he's on the field? The West Coast offense isn't a high concept offense that demands a lot from the QB, in fact, it's the exact opposite, it's a very simple offensive in which you're setting up your recievers to be in certain spots within the field at a set time - hence the importance of timing. This will make any QB look great because if the offense already has a spot on the field that it's aiming for, it already has a leg up on a defender and in sports, that fraction of a second to respond can mean victory or defeat, first or last. When the Phins line up, you will traditionally see Waddle at the end of the lin, with Hill in motion looping around Waddle - this set up with two top Tier WRs are what's destroying defenses, not what Tua is doing. Remove Hill from the equation and you'll see Tua perform exactly like he did last year. This is why teams pay huge money for speed, to stretch the defense and just watch dbs/cbs lining up against Waddle and Hill - they're giving them almost 10 yards spacing for the most part. Any QB should be able to easily convert 5 yards a pop without any effort from the reciever with that type of spacing. Defenses are absolutely terrified of the speed of the Dolphins, but they are not scared of Tua. Big difference. But regardless, like I said time and time again, I want to see him play an entire season healthy and I want to feel like Tua can carry the team if he needs to on his own for him to be a bonafide franchise QB. And before you cite the Ravens game, the Ravens DBs blew that game and Tua took advantage of it. Good for him but there's a difference between taking advantage of someone's mistakes and ripping out someone's heart who isnt making any. We've seen QBs have that and we all know what a franchise QB can do, when they have NO talent around them. Heck, look at Mahomes, no Hill, no problem. If I were to ask you who Mahomes targets, you'd probably go with Kelce and JuJu. Well Kelce only has 740 yards and he leads the team with receiving although Mahomes has 2936 yards. No, good and great QBs make average and above average receivers good and legendary and average QBs need good and above average receivers to be good but they will NOT elevate their receivers. Tua is an average QB who does NOT elevate the talent around him. Hence, he is not a franchise QB at this point in his career and with his injury history he may never be. This doesnt mean he cant win the SB like Trent Dilfer did or have great runs like Jimmy but having one to three years of success in the NFL does not make you a cornerstone piece of a franchise.
@Anthony Mercado Tua been running for his life since he’s been a qb except for this year but non-dolphin fans don’t remember or notice that part because of their delusional haterade for Tua. And you must be smoking that good good because Waddle was known as CLUTCH last year and was definitely on the rise and still is. You have no idea what you talking bout.
@Samona Jackson : You are so right. I think I will stop replying to Chris Zilli. He will never understand that the most important asset for someone playing the most mentally demanding position in team sports is their intellect and mental preparation. Chris Sims, one of the biggest Tua haters, never understood that intellect and mental preparation is the most important part of being an NFL quarterback and that's why, even though he had all the physical attributes, he was never a full season starter in the NFL. To admit Tua is playing at an elite level would mean admitting he lacked the mental capacity to be a successful NFL quarterback.
Remember when espn said we were the worst team of all time when we lost to the Patriots and ravens in 2019 I’ve been a dolphins fans my whole life and I’m young so I’ve never seen a dolphins team this good I deadass shed a tear 😢
Man you missed the Shula and Jimmie days (defense was absolutely crazy). It was weird seeing Miami get chewed up defensively under Flo. People were saying it was an outstanding defense and it was no where close to Jimmie's dolphins. Flo's D gave up 32ppg to playoff bound teams. But yeah I have never seen a miami offense like this. What's scary to think about is Tua's health as the backups don't seem to be flourishing in Mike's offense at all.
I dunno about that. We had some good teams early 90s. The Bill's were just too good and lucky. Don't get me talking about that missed field goal in the playoffs against the chargers.....
I am a dolphins fan, from the core of my heart, I always knew Tua would be this great, if he had an O Line to match his QB ability. He's proving me right, size means nothing compared to the heart of a warrior. I will always LOVE MY DOLPHINS TEAM, Undefeated, OR NOT, I LOVE THEM.
That’s what defines a true fan. Watching the Dolphins bad season after bad season and still loving them until they finally come back. I know exactly how you feel mate.👍🏻
That Tua, Waddle, and Hill connection is a thing of BEAUTY. Love it! Tua, is the "BEST" Quarterback in the game. This guy is "KEY HOLE" accurate-WoW! No wonder he hits over 90% of his passes. We love TUA, just SLIDE baby- slide all the way to the SUPERBOWL! Thank you Coach Mike McDaniels and your staff for a job WELL DONE!...FINS UP!
The AFC East is shaping up to be the best division in the whole league. Bills being the early SB favorite, Miami and the Jets emerging as feisty contenders, and even the Patriots figuring out a new recipe for success...
Hes no more an mvp candidate than joe Burrow was last year. Playing great but hes not carrying enough load of his team to win it. Same with hurts. Guys like lamar, mahomes, allen are the whole teams offense. That's really no hate on Tua though he is playing fantastic but the scheme and pieces around him have also been top notch. Jared goff had huge numbers in this scheme. Jimmy G went to a super bowl. I think tuas better than both those guys but hes not MVP level based on what we've seen in the past.
@Anthony Mercado again; it's way too early to decide anything about any of them. It's a check back in 10 years type thing. But yes, having good teammates in football is good lol
@VonJay "Damon had better stats than him and that's a fact. " he literally had 8 tds and 4 ints. Not sure what you remember but it wasn't what actually happened. He had that in 10 games played marino had 13tds i think it was in 6 games. Unfortunately like i said he wasnt marino in his prime then he also had 17 ints but most of them was from his first terrible game back from injury against the cowboys Huard wasn't doing anything for us and never did anything for anyone else either. That should tell YOU something. If jimmy johnson was a good coach he rebuilds the offense next year after marino retires. Instead he wanted to be remembered for his only 3 good seasons with the cowboys. For us he was a .500 coach who pouted over the best QB we ever had finishing his career. Dont matter how you try and slice it, he was not a good coach for us.
@VonJay We were not winning a superbowl with huard so those aren't the options. Also you were incorrect about 7-1 but it was actually 8-2 not 4-1 Im assuming you just looked up the stats which are inaccurate. Look at the box scores and you'll see huard played until the cowboys game. No idea why it says 11 games started for marino and 5 for huard when it was 6 and 10 respectively Also yes 99 was marinos last season? So not sure what year you're talking about then?
@Doc Holliday I'm looking at the stats now, Damon lead miami to a 8-2 record and the game Marino came back he threw 5 interceptions against the cowboys. Yeah he should have sat on the bench.
@Doc Holliday Also that wasn't Marino's last season. That was the season Jimmie quit and came back. Marino was turning the ball over like crazy especially in pivotal moments. And correction Damon went 4-1 and not 7-1. Our record was 7-1 and after Marino came back we finished 9-7. Heard it was a major reason why Jimmie wanted to leave. But no doubt, would you trade Marino being benched for a superbowl? I think I'd take the superbowl my friend.
I’ve had way too many years of watching this team be awful year after year after year… I finally feel like this team can be something in years to come if they stick around together! Being a true fan even thru all of the tough times make u appreciate this so much more.. 🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🆙🆙🆙🆙
These are the kinda games the old dolphins would somehow manage to lose. Nobody on that field was overlooking the Browns. Fins came to play. TUA was his usual self. Perfect. Finally some running game and D Line pressure. Great win fellas.
Miami did what the Bengals should've done the previous Monday - put Cleveland at the bottom of the division and ensure the "DeShawn Watson experiment" would be dead on arrival. All along many in the league believed what Cleveland did was the height of folly, and I believe it will soon be obvious to all it was a franchise ruining mistake to ever chase after him!
@Too Tall yea I’ve been a fan since 09 and definitely felt rock bottom with this Miami organization but we finally have a team and a quarterback that looks promising. True super bowl aspirations
Wow Mike McDaniel, what an inspired hire! This exciting Tua led offense is only getting better too. With a strong rushing game the Fins can be an unstoppable juggernaut. Just need the defense to get to average at least.
Well finally the Dolphins D steps up and starts tackling some people. They may as well start calling us the Miami 49ers with Sherfield,Mostert and Wilson Jr. all getting in the endzone. Mike McDaniel was the real genius on the 49er offence and Kyle Shanahan was the guy taking all the credit for it.
The Dolphins offense is just a thing of sheer beauty (and I don't think they've even scratched the surface yet). Blazing speed everywhere from Tyreek and Waddle to Mostart and now Wilson and Sherfield! Plus a big physical offensive line and neither Hill nor Waddle are purely finesse WR's. For any defense it's really a pick-your-poison option. You're either going to have to single cover somebody who can burn you or you can stack on the wideouts only to get gashed by the running backs.
@Chosen one Most of these haters are the ones that hated him in college because he was so good and beating everyone in 2 or 3 quarters. I don't care where they came from as long as they help the team win. Flores got all the media down on him by trying to make him fail and made Tua look bad and they didn't realize that no other qb would of did any better in that mess. Now they just hate to admit they were wrong and just keep looking stupid. I believe there's lots who hate him because he gives the Lord praise for all he does.
@Lee Boy I know but in Tua`s case with where he is in his career and his style and size he needs it even more. Some qb`s with bigger stature and arm can get away with it more. Look at Mcnab early in his career no true number one receiver for years yet he made things happen and had a winning record.
@Richard W; you can say that about any good paasing team. Take out the 2 best wide outs from any team and they will struggle. Look what happened to Green Bay when the got rid of Davante Adams. Rogers is not even close to being as efficient without him as he was with him.
@Richard W They need at least one of them but I'm glad we have both of them. Browns did a really good job covering them but tben it leaves the others to hit.
As a Dolphins fan our run game was truly the best I have seen in awhile 49ers I will like to thank you for the 3 people you sent our way Mike, Raheem, and Jeff
Miami looks good running on all cylinders, love the one two punch in our running game and Tua was on today, oline looking better and better every week, this team is coming together
I hate the way Dolphins defense starts off so slow and start playing later but I will say they started playing a lot quicker today. They did really good today stopping the run game and especially covering Amari Cooper. Dolphins o line coach needs a raise for what he's done with that line. They opening holes for the run game and protecting Tua. The Browns did a good job covering Hill and Waddle but orher receivers showed up to play. And what can I say about Tua, he's definitely the MVP this yr. so far
Yea honestly at this point we might as well just give every team we play a 7 point lead and just start off with the ball on offense. Wish boyar would stop calling games scared. We get it the secondary is banged up. But what you're doing now isn't working, so might as well try what we've always done and see if the rookies play up to it.
I gave up being an NFL fan years ago, but I'll admit this young Dolphins team is getting me excited about their potential. Good job, Coach McDaniel & the whole team.....these kids believe in themselves!
I haven't seen offensive players so eager to play, you can see it in their demeanor. They all want to demoralize and destroy the defense. Its not even funny. Waddle is the number one offender in my opinion. He starts screaming after someone makes a lucky tackle because they know it would have been a td if they didn't clip him.
This dolphin team is what I’ve been hoping for since I became a Miami Dolphins fan in since the year of 2000. The Miami Dolphins came a very long way from head coaches, quarterbacks and so forth! P.S. Miami Dolphins 🐬 for the Superbowl 💪🏾
Tyreke Hill already has 81 catches and 1148 yards...in 10 games! That's with Tua missing time as well. Absolutely unreal. He's on pace for a historic season.
@Roberto Gutierrez Fr I was born in 03 and never seen a year when it felt like we had a super bowl contending team till now this team I got high hopes for
@SMOOTH AND SLOW Lmao how you going to say something so dumb in all caps so confidently. Like how do people as stupid as you still not know you can type something into google and have an answer in like 2 seconds?
Great game and what a time to be a dolphins fan. Such synergy in this team. Tua, Tyreek, Waddle, Mike, and now Mostert and Wilson just seem to have meshed perfectly. Bringing in the two backs that know the McDaniels offense was genius. 49ers GM should be fired for letting that happen lol.
The last time the Fins had an offense this good was in the 1980's, when I was in high school. I pinched myself about 5 times during this game waiting to wake up, and I'm still not convinced that I'm awake. No shame Browns fans. Your team has massive heart, and Brissett is playing his ass off. Of course Chubb and Hunt are beasts as well.
This is the MOST exciting Dolphin team Ive seen since watching Ricky. Wow. Tons of fire power. This time its the offense that shines for once. Lets GO FINS!
Damn right he is, that's why I've been saying if they can protect Tua the Dolphins just might be going places, sure they have some helluva playmakers on that offense but you have to get them the ball especially accurately for them to showcase those play making abilities and keeping Tua healthy is key to that.
@Luis Solares I agree, but was stating a fact. Tua has been filmed throwing a football 70yds. But yeah, there are too many 70yd pass routes. I'll take his accuracy over any QB in the league tho.
@Jean Triplett Remember when the ravens ran that defense and the media wet them selves saying it was busted coverages? Lol yea go ahead and sellout short thinking tua can't throw deep. See how that works out for you.
@Luis Solares fr. If people were to actually watch games, they’ll see that most qb “deep ball” completions are under 60 yards lol. People don’t realize that Tua is in the redzone A LOT. That’s an automatic score whether it’s a TD or field goal (ironic cuz sanders sucked today). I’ll take a QB that can get me in the redzone every drive over one who just heaves it down field hoping someone makes a catch.
7:42 Mostert making it look easy running like he did the 49ers Super Bowl year. Great to see him and Jeff Wilson thriving there. The 3 best pieces of our offense are now in Miami: McDaniel, Mostert, and Wilson.
The weapons on offense are insane. Tua is playing great. Waddle and Hill are the best 1-2 in the league with Sherfield quickly becoming the best #3. Mostert and Wilson Jr are a great tandem in the backfield AND Ignold seems to have good hands too. Armstead has really improved this O-line and Gesicki is still a beast at TE.
#FinsUp baby! I'm stoked to see them playing like this. McDaniel is utilizing Tua's strengths, and the line is opening holes. Just so happy to see this after years and years of disappointment.
Good games, Dolphins. Hope we'll be better soon. Right now, I hope my Browns can do something about their 3-6 record. Probably not, but optimism is the only positive thing I have this season.
From an offensive standpoint this was a very impressive win for Miami. Not only did the rush for over 195 yards, but Tua threw for over 285 yards on 25/32 from the field. Just an impressive offensive display from a very good Miami Dolphins football team.
Had Mia won games when Tua was out then maybe you can use those wins against him but they didnt. Tua’s qb ability is the biggest factor on why they are so explosive. His presence is the reason why they traded to get hill, chubb, and several other key players. Without Tua this team wouldnt have the same personnel or be playing nearly as well.
Omg our fins play better and better each game. What a showing today and especially for tua and Jeff Wilson. Hopefully, playoffs, here we come. Good game btw by nick Chubb. Good game browns
The Running Game was really outstanding today, no doubt. I think Terron Armstead has had a really good impact on that Unit as a whole, I just hope he can stay healthy. Tua was great, again and I tip my Cap to him. Except for the 15 Yard Penalty Sherfield was a real contributor, again! Defense at least got some pressure today. I don't know what the hey happened to Jason Sanders, he looked like Colonel Sanders on PAT's and I'm baffled. Really nice win heading into the bye week and definitely something positive to build on. 'PHINS UP!
No. The balance between them was perfect. Mostert actually averaged more ypc then JW jr because of it. It keeps defenses guessing and it makes it harder to stop when one can run through you and the other run past your whole team in the blink of an eye.
@Tony Zacarias no I grew up with Taylor, Chad henne Brandon Marshall and Ryan Tannehill, jay cutler I’ve seen the worst in Miami dolphins football growing up lol
@Andre Jackson I remember my first season was 08 with chad Pennington , and looking back I thought that team had it all lol. Little did I know we’d suck ass for a decade and a half
I remember skip and Shannon on undisputed saying tyrek wouldn't have the numbers like he did at Kansas city without mahomes... he's having a record year and can be the single season record holder in receiving yards in a single season. Morale of the story, don't worry about what anyone says, stay down, stay humble, and stay grinding.
So good to see miami playing as a team i pray that we stay injury free for the rest of season and who knows maybe we can have a decent run come playoff time ..go the dolphins
Tua,Tua..... Amazing how much better the Dolphins are with Tua under center. Everyone thought Lawrence was going to be the best QB of his class. 2nd year has Tua well in front
@ILoveChu67 there's a reason #1 draft picks, tend to end up being "busts", especially QB's....when u get drafted by terrible teams & organizations, it limits your growth.....Browns had no consistency, changing coaches every year to another incompetent coach...Carolina should have started him the WHOLE year & let him get in sync with the new offense...instead, they bench him for an undrafted QB, who doesn't have much potential
Tua is showing me everything I complained about, your having a great season young man, keep it up, we on top on the afc east!!! Let's keeping winning!!!
My sister was a Dolphins Cheerleader from the late 1960s through the 1972 perfect season. My Dad and I got to go to the games at the Orange Bowl for free. I've been a Dolphins fan ever since. It's been a long time since the Dolphins had this much talent and the ability to put it all together to be Super Bowl contenders. It's getting exciting again!!
