So this is easily the most perfect acoustic song I've ever heard. The instrumentation was well balanced as well as not too many. The vocals harmonized perfectly in contrast to Ciara. Ciara even counterbalanced and contrasted herself throughout the song perfectly, giving diversity, volume modulation and tone modulation at precise times. The song was not overbearing at all. It was like dessert after a fine meal. A kiss goodnight.
I enjoy both, but I think enjoy this one just a bit more than the studio version. It’s more raw with not too much distraction from too much layering upon layering, sound-wise. It’s just the acoustic guitar, piano, drums and the vocals.
I absolutely love Cici’s voice. You don’t have to scream and do runs all over the place for me to like you as an Artist. Aaliyah is my all time favorite r&b artist and I adored her voice and her beauty. Ciara, thank you for giving my ears something to listen to. Thank you for being different.
