I've played world of tanks for the past 10 years, it would be a good game if the company, Wargaming wasn't so greedy and the game wasn't bad in multiple ways... It's still a good game, especially when ur playing it for fun rather than for stats.

Would love to see a Limgrave only run where you are only allowed to use weapons, spells, materials, etc. collected in Limgrave and are not allowed to collect/use anything found or bought beyond that. Key items are the exception when they are necessary to progress the story.

@Kaitri it's fast, long, have bleed, and does lots of damage. Nothing exceptional, like it's not a moonveil or RoB, but still good and easy to get in early game.

About the Rennala fight: She did not just so happen to stop being poisoned 2 hp from death. She actually is virtually immortal as long as her bubble is up, meaning you cannot end the first phase by just hitting her with a status effect and waiting for her to die from it, you still need to pop her bubble.

@Xelith Lobos during cheese run did it. There is just one spell you can do dmg to her while she is in bubble - Night Maiden Mist.

I really wished you added darkness spell to the "mist" list its technically not a mist but it very similar and doesn't do damage just blinds enemies and was hoping to finally see it used in a challenge run to blind enemies and buy some time to get spells off.

@Landon Cube Honestly, it would be better to use Fia's Mist in pvp to mask spells. Still can't really see through it, and the enemy won't wanna walk in that much unless they're okay with stacking up Deathblight and risking a 1-shot

@Landon Cube I mean, theoretically speaking yeah, you can use the visual effects to cover up animations and visual effects from other spells/ashes of war, but it's not really worth using as that's all it would do in pvp and the fog itself lasts a very short amount of time (probably only long enough for 1 attack).

It's like pestilent mist from Ds3. It's a high-damage spell but the trade off is it damages anyone including the caster.

Yeah, they base that off of a spell from Dark souls 2 and 3 that does the same thing. Hilariously in Dark souls 2 it also affects your allies, so you can get summoned and then cast that spell to kill your summoner.

Just a tip for others who want to do the challenge too... Darkness mist breaks the Student's barriers during Renalla phase 1... Also maybe uh use Swarm of Flies

@Shelver yeahh but her mechanic is such that she'll have like 1-2 hp which is completely invincible While she's flying in her orb... so you'll need to break the student's orbs anyways to complete phase 1... so getting her down to 10-20% through mist and then hitting the kids with darkness .. the fight can be finished easily.. leaving more fp flasks for phase 2

The reason mists of slumber didn’t last very long is because it’s primary function makes the sword inflict sleep and the mist is mostly a side effect of that

When I was doing my RL1 run, I used St. Trinas Sword to kill the Duo. The mists of slumber works fantastically, you just have to bait out the jump attack from skinny and use the AOW right as he lands. Then sleeping fatty is a cakewalk

Others have done mist-only on Malenia and it takes like 25-30 minutes instead of the 4 or so she usually takes. And that's if you don't die and then have to repeat it. She moves around so much and so quickly she never lingers in it. She also has a really high sleep resist and an insanely high threshold for poison.

When I saw the title I thought for sure you'd use the Ancestral Infant's Head. The description says it lets out a vapour which is basically a mist (both are just particles of liquid suspended in the air). Would have made the run so much easier, but you dominated it anyway.

The freezing mist strat is a huge boon for casters for the Rykard fight! You could cast the mist with a staff in your off hand, then 2-hand the spear and clobber the crap out of him. With the poise break and stamina regen tears in your physick you might be able to avoid Rykard's Rancor entirely in phase 2. I can't wait to try it!

Night Maiden's Mist is unironically one of my favorite spells in the entire game. Fun fact: you can charge the spell up. It makes the cloud 3-4x larger, so they are in it more often, and thus take more damage.

Night Maiden's Mist is really strong. I've killed a lot of field bosses with it. If you can get to an area they can't reach, it just kills them. Even through walls. You can even gas a whole room before going in. There's no way to block it and it has no resistances. They only way to avoid it is by leaving the cloud.

I don't know if you're going to take this as a compliment or not; but you remind me a lot of LobosJr. I used to watch his Bloodborne challenges and casual playthroughs all the time and they were a huge source of entertainment and comfort for me. night maiden mist has been very useful on my first playthrough. i ran around dragons on Torrent just close enough to bait melee attacks but not get hit and i spammed mist. the dragon sat in the mist and just died

personally i think volcano pots and spark aromatics would have been within the spirit of the rules as well, that way you could reset frost for more procs, but i suppose it would have made the run less of a challenge

Mists of slumber works like an attack and then buffs the weapon. If you land the attack (mist) it does really high sleep. If you miss the attack it does nothing. Otherwise you have to beat on them for the proc with the now sleep coated sword.

I used the frost and poison mists on dragon lord and Elden beat and it helped a lot, since it’s hard for them to get out of it

Random challenge idea - Backstep attacks only! Can dodge normally to evade damage since Backstep has no I-frames, but can only do damage from Backstep attacks! Possibly no Bloody Helice since it has a lot of I-frames on it's initial Ash of War Backstep?

I'd say Sleep Pots and Volcano Pots count as mists; and with Volcano Pots, that means a faith build would up the damage. and I wonder if Godfrey Icon could boost Night Maiden's Mist?

Challenge idea: NG+ and you have to beat each boss with how they were defeated in the lore (kill Godrick and Radahn as Malenia, Rennala as Radagon, Rykard as Morgott, Morgott and Fire Giant as Godfrey, Maliketh and Godfrey and Radabeast as Marika (basically Radagon build) this includes weapons, armor, and spells, and for fun you could change your character model.

Watching the rennala fight I've realized no one told him that nights maidens mist can kill her when she is in her bubble and it won't transition to any faze till the bubble pops I mean he still killed her in 2 tries but just a little fun fact that maidens mist is kind of broken

I'm doing RL1 +0 "all dirty moves allowed" run right now and regarding Malenia - it's suprisingly easy with Night Maiden's Mist to breeze through 1st phase - just don't target lock her, don't look at her for too long and don't let her get to close to you or cast another mist when she starts moving to the sides. Takes maybe like 4 minutes each time and she won't even attack once. Now 2nd phase is totally different story, probably have to bait aeonias and "rot column" combo finish, I was just circling around and spamming blade of death, couple of tries, a lot of luck and it was done.
