I've been watching this show for around 40 years. I really miss him. I dont care how nany times ive seen any episode. I can have an absolutely exhausting day, & I'm filled with stress, anxiety, & frustration. However, all I have to do is put this gentle soul on the TV and long before the end of the episode, I've become calm, relaxed, & realize life isn't as bad as I sometimes think it is. 3 observations: 1, The Lord gave us this wonderful man to the world as a clear example that it doesn't really take very much to realize that everything is going to be ok. Judt be chill and paint away with ease. Be happy. Be interesting. Be whimsical. 2, This master has got to have the greatest natural Jewfro I think this planet has ever seen (Hey, I'm Jewish by birth, so I can say that.) 3, I'm not exactly sure where this amzingly beautiful soul lived, but I can guarantee with 100% certainty that who ever supplied the grass in Bob's area of town would go see him 1st, and leave with about a 1/10th left of what he arrived at Bob's house with 😂. Msy this blessed soul continue to paint masterpieces with great happiness & joy, so all of Heaven can see just how amazing the Lord is when he decides to create a new person. 😊

20:08 The way he works these shadows into the mountain is absolutely beautiful. You wouldn't expect such a simple technique - scraping a knife across a canvas, loaded with hard paint which leaves an uneven and imprecise texture - to produce such a photo like effect. His method (inspired by his own teacher) was all about simplicity, speed, and letting the effects create themselves... as opposed to the more refined and complex methods used by other painters of times past. Although his paintings are less "perfect" looking upon closer inspection, they radiate with personality and character. There's a beauty in their simplicity. Not to mention, for less than 30 minutes spent on many of his landscape paintings, they appear remarkably detailed.

It's about the chilling vibe he gives. Voice, his calmness, his energy he spreads. He was a sergant I think, means, he has dicipline, but also he believed in the Naturally way. He loved animals, and often said that things like animals or/and the nature a beautiful gods creation, and you can feel he says that at the bottom of his heart + he visualizes his feelings with this amazing paint pictures. I was talking with one art teacher at my school, and I brought up Bob Ross and what a great painter/artist he was and my art teacher had the AUDACITY to say “Oh, Bob isn’t a real artist. What he drew never made sense.”. I lost all my respect I had for that teacher that day.

Honestly with all due respect , i have nothing to do with painting here . I'm watching this videos just as a part of meditation. watching and listening Bob's soothing voice is meditation for me. He must had been Pure, blessed and Artistic soul.

Just discovered Bob through Sky arts & I'm addicted ! Have wanted to start painting again for decades but never did it ! What an inspiration he is, like a therapy ! the noise of the brushes on the pallet, the scraping of the knife on the pallet & his soothing relaxing voice is surreal. Goggled him to see what he was up to now & so sad to read that he has passed away 😢😢 8.45

What colors were you using? Using regular red, blue, and yellow will get you full and grey colors. However if you use C.M.Y.K. (Cyan.Magenta.Yellow.Key) you will get much lighter colors.
