Alright so the latest Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer dropped a couple days ago, letting us know that size doesn’t always matter, It's more of how you use it… like the suit. How you use the suit. But this is going to be a full on Theory Time…. Theory Time….Theory Time…. video, covering any of the crazy, outlandish small and big theories we have for Ant-Man, the quantum realm, Kang, and is this all going to be a rip-off of Spy Kids 3-D?

Alright so things are going to get trippy and out there so buckle up, but the first question is why does Kang need Ant-Man? Obviously to steal something. Boom done. Next theory. Nah it is to steal something, but I think Kang pulled some elaborate strings to get him into the Quantum realm.

First I think Cassie was actually tricked into making the Quantum realm device shown in the first trailer. She talks to Scott and the other’s like they are unaware of it, trying to explain the good it’ll do.

“People still need help, dad. That's why we made this. Like a satellite for deep space, but…. Quantum.”

So Kang and probably MODAK co-conspired this together, to get Scott into the quantum realm. MODAK, wanting revenge, I’ll elaborate on him later because this is just a big headed Darren Cross from what we’ve found out in this second trailer. But Kang needs Ant-Man and his powers to essentially steal something. Again the only reason he knows about him and his ability to go subatomic is because of Darren Cross aka MODAK.

Anyway Kang wants to strike a deal with him. Kang will send Scott back in time before he took on a life of crime, to be a better father, and actually be there for Cassie. Rather than setting the role model of a criminal, which Cassie appears to be following as well. I’m pretty sure this cant happen, because then Scott will never become Ant-Man, help the avengers discover time travel, he would never end up here, basically things get really heavy if we go that path.

@Zooma non canon comic. It didn’t happen in the 616 universe, it’s like the Doom fans continually using God Emperor Doom killing Thanos as a way to say base Doom would beat Thanos. They’re two completely different scenarios.

I just had a thought while watching reactions. What if Scott discovers that he can split himself like we see in the trailer (he looks surprised), while he is on the mission to get whats probably the forever crystal for Kang. Kang maybe doesn't know this can happen, because he hasn't ventured there, hence why needs Scott. Scott uses this discovery to multiply himself to all those in the trailer and maybe it isn't even the original Scott who fights him at the end, but one of the splits who chooses to sacrifice himself for the mission (and for scott, hope, cassie etc) just like real Scott probably would. They escape while both Kang and the split Scott "loses" (Split Scott dead, Kang trapped), leaving Kang even more furious- the end. Otherwise, I would like to have Scott survive someway, maybe wasp flies in and sacrifices herself, maybe Hank and Janet too.

There is a report that stated Paul Rudd would be in 1 or 2 MCU movies after Quantumania. So I guess Scott will be trapped in the Quantum Realm with Kang so that his daughter can escape. He will be back in The Kang Dynasty, as Kang finds a way to get out of the realm, and Scott will alert the Avengers.

Scott dying just doesn't have the weight of someone like Tony/Natasha. So I think this movie ends in something higher stakes more akin to the Thanos first snap. Shocking and sets the stage for everything to come.

I think they're teasing X-men and mutants and even captain Britain. I think the object Kang needs is the siege perilous not because it's a direct link to time travel but because it's a connection to obtain time travel from a universe where it can be done safely maybe even an alternate endgame.

You may know I’m not sure. I think what Kang needs is something called the emerald crystal. It can do basically the same stuff as terrigen mist when it comes to giving people powers or mind manipulation. Also how to power objects or machines. I think he wants Scott to find and get it. In order to have any sort of stakes that matter after Secret Wars, something is going to have to happen that shuts the door on multiverse travel forever. I'm thinking the multiverse gets collapsed down into a single universe, and stays that way -- but not without some powerful multiversal being making it through the event, who ends up being Galactus. And they'll learn about Galactus because he starts eating worlds that have been seeded by Celestials, and killing any Celestial that tries to stop him. ... and then some other shit happens, or something.

I wouldn't be so sure about that last part. Dave Bautista has already said in an interview that, while he liked playing Drax, he's glad he'll never have to do it again. Not a theory as such, but id have a fantastic 4 film that starts in the 60s, and sees them crash land in modern day. This could mean the original expedition that causes their powers leads to the crash, or perhaps they get their powers in the 60s and another event sees them arrive in modern day. Either way, they will have been missing assumed dead, like Janet, since the 60s. Id also go much older in casting. I love the idea of Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen from Modern familybas Reed and Sue, and and John Hamm as Doom, all if whom would work in a 60s setting as well as modern day.

As with all marvel trailers, there is a lot of misdirection here. I think Hank is going to play a much more pivotal role than the trailer portrays, after all, he is the original Ant Man, and then he will probably die.
