@Relk75 kyrie would rightfully always be on top contention for best dribbler, sure.... But people seem to forget that Steph's handling is insanity! As of you just pop magically at the line for a shot, with NBA players guarding you... Some of those step backs and crosses made me sick to my stomach... Not the shooting, the handling...
And realize that Curry never had to go to another team to bring home the chip. He inspires everyone around him. Ppl may say MJ and Kobe were the GOATS but for me its this guy right here. Changed the way basketball is played, best 3 point shooter of all time, and he increases the efficiency of all teammates on the court. Sounds like the greatest to play the sport to me.
Yeah mj went through the struggle too and took home 6 rings and 6 finals mvps but mj was great from when he entered up until his last game as a bull curry wasn’t anywhere close to what he has become and Jordan would just dominate curry if we were being real
Curry is great but he didn’t have to leave bc the warriors have an amazing front office that’s built around him , other all time greats can’t say the same
@Fernando Acosta It wasnt always like that, the warriors for the longest time was the worst team in the conference. Curry played the long game my friend. Dont believe me go look at curry's stats vs how the warriors seeded in the first 4 years. LOYALTY CANT BE BOUGHT
that game against OKC was one of the best regular season games i've ever seen. back and forth the whole games, all the stars at the top of their game, curry wins it in OT with an epic 3-pointer. fantastic game, glad to see it's still remembered here
I remember Kareem talking about watching Steph practicing 3s. Said he attempted 100 and got I think 91 in. Including 77 in a row. Like what the? Insane
I highly doubt that. If so where is the video? He shoots 43 percent from the 3 point line in games yet he made 105 in a row in practice? He is a 91 percent free throw shooter and I doubt he could make 105 free throws in a row let alone 3 pointers
Stephen Curry's playing is like watching a movie...where the most impossible things can happen. I changed my mind..i think he surpasses movies' impossibilities.
Ive had one game my entire life that felt like curry where nothing missed. Was just a park game bunch of friends playing to 100. I had 54 with 11/11 3’s. Over a decade ago but ill never forget the feeling of letting it go knowing its straight bottoms
@Zack of All Trades - I remember that time... I went up for a dunk... jumping with every fiber of my being ... and my feet landed on the rim! I was standing on the hoop!
@Jon Hohensee is this really not that believable? A dude popped off in a pickup game at the park… it’s really not that crazy, we’ve all seen it if you play any pick up ball. That’s one of the main reasons I love pickup ball, random dudes start popping off and it gets hyped. 😂
I wouldn't say the most, but definitely one of the most. He shifted the meta of the game to shooting 3's. Other players have changed the game, too. The NBA literally created the offensive 3 second rule because of Shaq. Wilt Chamberlain forced the league to widen the lane in an attempt to make it harder to camp down low. They also outlawed over the backboard inbounding and introduced the idea of the free-throw lane.
@Lycanthropic wasn't the free throw also changed to both feet down when taking the shot because michael jordan used to dunk from the line instead of shooting?
You did a great job putting together. Ball handling, passing, college days, worst shooting day to overcoming it and putting points on the board. To his greatest shooting day etc. It’s really beautiful to watch this kind of compilation.
Stephen Curry is one of my favorite players the reason why I say that is. He came along way from a small college into the lead the big colleges Thought that he was too small but he worked and worked on Showing everybody over the world that watches him throughout his college year he’s NBA years and seeing how he approves on everything that he do I will always be a big fan of his
And the thing that's funny to me is that finally we have someone that you can't compare to MJ because his style is so different yet he is just as deadly. I'll just say this he is simply really really really good !!!👌👍💪. This dude can barely dunk yet he found his thing. Getting to the basket is even to easy for him. Can you imagine actually having these type of plays in the play book ?? It would be like in bound to Curry and he'll take a 50 footer. I believe we are in for a treat with this man. He drains these shots like they have homing devices. It's a no brainer that he will be a Hall of Famer. Even Larry Bird got bored with the same old dribble and shoot. He found taking the higher risk shots were more challenging and on occasion even used only his left hand to shoot just because he could. Anyways they should make a movie titled 'Nothin But Net' starring Mr. Curry.🏀💪👌 👍👍
he does handle the ball very well but he also has random turnovers , some that were in big games. It just looks like he get careless with the ball at times(not shooting).
@Benjamin K. I don't know if your saying that in favor of him having great handling skills or not. But for me if that kind of stuff/plays work i consider it a + overall awareness of the court and ball handling skills. All i meant by what i was saying is i have watched most of the Bucks games (hometown team) and the Warriors and i have noticed that Curry makes silly Turnovers when after watching him play a lot seem out of place considering his overall body of work. And some of those TO were in big games and it's hard to say if he just gets careless sometimes because the team was so stacked or thats just how he is. In short i do think overall he does have good at time great handling skills but i would have to put some thought into it on where just on handling alone where he ranks in the NBA. Basically if someone said to me he's top ten playing i would have to say "idk maybe" I'm not like a Curry hater , in fact as i said i am a Bucks fan and i wish The Warriors and Bucks could work out a deal to bring Giannis to play with Curry/Clay since i think it would be a drama fee win a bunch of chips Team. I know it sounds bad as a Bucks fan but Giannis as stayed longer then most player would and i feel like the team they built around him is missing a legit #2 player or even a #3 player that works with the team and is filled with a deep roster but lack a real Starting 5.
The 3-Pt King 👑 of our generation, an icon and I love the fact that he has his own swag style on the court mate. Stephen Curry is and will always be my fave point guard 🏀. Biggest fan from South Africa 🇿🇦❤️🔥
Stephen Curry is the best shooter in NBA history, so he might just always shock the world with his amazing skills, he is also one of the best NBA players in the whole world, that's why he's called a legend.
How lovely is this dance 7:07 to 7:17, feeling top of the world. its mesmerizing, is this curry or the flurry of the background notes or both ? Players may come and go, Legends may inspire, but Curry and his celebrations always stay in our hearts, Steph Curry is the greatest of the greatest of all time (GOAT of the GOATs) in the history of the basketball, period. Thanks man for this compilation, have been watching this every now and then.
I watched The warriors vs thunder for their 55th win. when Curry shot that 3 for the win, my cousin and me got up, hugged each other and started jumping and screaming, that shot was so epic I lost my voice
I am a proper football fan ( Soccer for Americans).I've never watched a full game of basketball in my life. But something about Steph Curry makes it look so amazing. The pure mastery and the grace and ease in his movement is something that I'd attribute to Lionel Messi. In no way the best physical athlete in the game, but the genius is unparalleled
Including Jordan. He said that Steph Curry was not a hall of famer. Jordan is jealous of Steph Curry for the mere fact that he knows that Curry is a much better shooter than he ever was during his career. Curry is the best shooter I have ever seen period.
Such an insane player. Every team has to play the Curry defense which is guard him from halfcourt and double team him off the screen which leads to another person getting a wide open 3.
It's not just the pure release but the quickness of his shot allows him to get the shot off before the defender can get to his peak elevation to try to block his shot.
Curry's overtime shot against OKC was the most dramatic shot he has ever taken. When the announcer said, "Bang!" "Bang!" "Oh what a shot by Curry!" Two games back-to-back with 10 + three's? Unreal.
As you can tell, after watching the video, Stephen has a very unique ability at shooting. I would like to know more about his upbringing, his family experiences and how he feels socially. He has great potential.
I remember when Michael Jordan jumped from beyond "penalty line", and changed body direction in mid air for a dunk. That should not be possible cause of gravity, but he did it. I remember Jordans last game when he scored ALL points last 13 minutes. Only a few of his teammaters scored in those 13 minutes, and those Jordan was the assist man on.
Haven't watched any hoops since the 90s jordan era but Steph got me on YT watching this machine drain these shots that seem impossible. He is so consistent with this shit its amazing
I thought I wouldn't watch basketball anymore when Dirk Nowitzki retired. But then this man, Stephen Curry came. And now, here I am, always looking forward to Curry's play, all GSW's play.
man is legit the reason why I started playing basketball before i knew who he was I had no reason i wanted to play ball until i saw this man dude is unbelievable
He's like my created player in 2k10 with maxed out 3point shooting. How is it even fair to defend? I see the defense doing a good job covering then Curry just pulls up with arms in his face and drops a 3 from downtown. He is an insane player
As someone who doesn’t watch basketball but enjoys these compilation clips, I think I was most impressed by how the 3pt line turns red when the ball goes up.
Erich Von Manstein ...I might be wrong, but I’m willing to bet making 3’s under actual defensive pressure, from 2 to 5 ft beyond the actual 3pt line,in a playoff game ranks just a hair above winning a meaningless all-star contest! 😂😂
Ita amazing how much he has succeeded. I remember growing up with the Curry's and my brother playing AAU basketball with him and Seth(Charlotte Stars,Charlotte Royals) also him and Seth starring in the movie "Jawanna Mann" filmed here in Charlotte...💯
Stephan Curry is amazing to watch. He can score from any where in the court. The problem with the NBA is no defense. Team should not be scoring 120 and higher points if your team is playing defense. The NBA need to lighten up on the calls and force to players to defend their basket. The game would be more exciting.
Yeah but he's very versatile and they don't recognize his three-point range in the beginning they only recognize him because he went to the finals not for his skill
Love him or hate him, I just have to say that watching him play live was my first ever basketball game. Thank you to my brother for taking me three years ago.
It's hard to deny Curry being considered in the GOAT conversation. He's undoubtedly the greatest shooter of all-time and that alone should put him near the top
Almost 66 and feel so happy watching NBA games. Years ago had favorites!!! We KNOW who they were.....I had ONE IVERSON...NOW I AM SO motivated and fan it's crazy. Like many...love some....But MR STEVE CURRY MAKES MY DAY !!!GB HIM AND FAMILY....TEAM....NBA AND ALL THE GREAT PLAYERS WE HAD...HAVE...AND CONTINUE HAVING.. ❤️❤️😇😇❤️👍👍
