This is one of the most interesting and unique animations I’ve ever seen by Bill and I absolutely love it, the personality conveyed by each person and their blocky unique art style is just beautiful even when it purposefully makes no sense, and it’s just great lol.

This was very down to Earth, in the sense that an alien must have come down to Earth and attempted to write human dialogue and you graciously offered to animate the script he so diligently had worked on. Well done you. Well done alien. 10/10 Will watch again.

I was not expecting Bill Wurtz to make a non-song animation after all these years, this was really cute! A bit absurd as always, but cute.

I just realized this could have a lot of video game stuff going on. The scribbles above their heads are like usernames (the receptionist at the gallery and waiter at the restaurant are NPCs). "Should we go to the lobster section?" "I can't handle that right now." The restaurant has a repeatable quest where you kill some escaped lobsters, so part of the restaurant just has lobsters running around. They're surprisingly tough, and the other person doesn't feel like doing it. Perhaps their level/equipment isn't good enough yet. "Let's sit on the roof." A la janky game physics, players have gotten a table and chairs up onto the roof. Maybe on accident, maybe to add more seats, maybe for an exploit, maybe to get away from the lobsters, and maybe for the novelty or view (IIRC, classic WoW had a building you could climb on, and people would do so and say "ON THE ROOF") "Do you even have that much money?" "I'll probably dig a hole somewhere and find it there." "True." Yep, that sounds like video game logic, just go mining and sell the resources for money. Maybe the economy is in the toilet. "How many, do you think, (restaraunts) that we could have gone to?" "Just one, this is the only one that still serves 'food'." Sounds like the game is maybe dead-ish, or maybe just the one server, so all the player restaurants either aren't being run or don't have food stocked. "The world's not ending tomorrow, right?" "No." "Good." By world ending, they mean the game/server shutting down. If there's only a couple people still playing, it's really not worth it to keep it running, but they want to enjoy it for a bit longer. "I don't like paintings." "What don't you like about them?" "They're not real." "That's true." This person doesn't see the value in investing time and money into decorating in the game, because it's not real and it's gonna shut down soon so they'd just lose it.

This guy went from making short clips of whatever manifested in his mind to pretty much the same thing but indefinitely better.

This feels like your eavesdropping on a conversation but your only hearing bits and pieces so your brain fills in the rest.

i actually really like this because the idea of having a full conversation with myself, then animating it as 2 characters makes me enjoy the conversation. And the fact that it sounded like you were really invested in that conversation with yourself makes me like it more. I also enjoyed the dinner scene where they had corn all over the table and the character on the left was talking while the one on the right we kind of talking in the middle of the conversation. The way how the storyline went really made it possible for anyone to shift this into their own story. Like for example, in the video, the person on the left said “there weren’t any other places we could have gone to?” making you think that they didn’t like the place (because a waiter just threw corn all over the table) but then the person on the right said “this is the only place that still has food.” really shifted it into a “this town is really dumb” kinda story. I also really liked how the 2 went to a painting store together, talking, and all of that really made me think they were friends. Then, the waiter asked if they were friends and they weren’t so sure about it. Then the “i don’t like paintings” from the character on the left, ending off with “let’s go to the beach.” “YES” basically copying the painting because the painting was 2 people questioning if they were friends on a beach. the reason the person on the left said no to going to the painting store again was because they didn’t like painting because THEY WERENT REAL. BUT THEN, THE PAINTING BECAME REAL LIFE. wow did i really waste 5 minutes of my life analyzing a stupid video. if my teacher read this analysis she would be so proud

I was fully expecting a song to kick in at some point (like after the opening conversation in I’m A Huge Gamer Most Of The Time), but for that entire runtime I was really into it. I just love how creative this is. I didn’t even realize I was actually watching a Bill Wurtz cartoon until the actual end of the piece. Holy shit. And on top of that, the ✨animation✨!!! Surreal but cohesive. It’s strange how the pace of the conversation feels so natural and logical, but the words are so… kinda illogical? I love that the worker in the art store follows museum rules and whispers. Lol 😂 Man, I’m just so damn impressed!! I love it
