I am a Chef & Entrepreneur with 17 years of experience in the professional culinary arts.
I've defeated Iron Chef Bobby Flay on the Food Network show Beat Bobby Flay, being the ONLY winner of Season One.
I've run very successful restaurants like Beauty & Essex NYC and not so successful restaurants over the course of my career and every experience was equally as valuable as the other.
I have just opened my dream Sandwich Shop in Williamsburg Brooklyn, Mission Sandwich Social.
"...often associated with being unhealthy..." That's the problem right there. A lot of these Westerners ONLY view Asian cooking as unhealthy street food that should be avoided, ignoring the fact that they're eating street food that is often ultra-sweetened or ultra-salted to attract customers in a sea of vendors, or just viewing it from their own biases. Like dude, if I go out, I'm not getting fried rice. Maybe Nasi Goreng Pattaya or Seafood, but not egg-fried rice. I'm gonna get a Ramly Burger or Mango sticky rice, wash it down with sugar cane juice with a splash of lemon juice.
Americans put mint jelly on lamb. British people use mint sauce, which is mint simmered in vinegar and a pinch of sugar. It's not as weird as that weird green stuff Americans have.
its still baffling how all the interactions between Britain and France over the centuries, the british never learned how to cook. you would think they picked up a few things here and there, but nope!
I've watched so many other youtubers reacting to this video (including you) and it still never gets old lmao. Everytime I know what exactly is coming and that just makes it even better
Don't knock vegemite until you try it the proper Australian way. Hot white toast, lots of butter and a tiny amount of vegemite spread with a knife. Also be careful knocking vegemite. British don't really care if you insult Janie Oliver or mint jelly but vegemite will start a war.
This video is unwatchable!! Idiot keeps pausing the video every 5 seconds. Let the fucking video play and talk about it while it’s playing. It’s a headache to listen to you talk about something we can watch. Play whole fuckin video then stop afterwards and talk about it or talk while it’s playing. Idiot
Have to correct you a bit here, "Black Pepper is not indigenous, White Pepper is". Its the same plant, same berry. Difference comes in the processing. White pepper gets soaked in water, it ferments a little bit and the skin falls off. The black part of black pepper is just the skin of the dried berry.
