Love the reaction. It was a good episode right before the finale. But as far as nothing happened, maybe I wasn't watching the same show. Plenty of stuff happened, we finally got our team united after so long. I don't feel robbed of a fight, Ezra has been sitting without a saber for 10-15 years. I feel we are going to get a great finale, but leading into the Filoni movie. My prediction is that Thrawn returns, (with our ragtag group as well) and movie will probably be giant battle against Thrawn.
In the book Thrawn - Alliances (which is canon), Thrawn actually met Anakin during the Clone Wars, and later when he worked with Vader during the Empire, he figured out he is Anakin, judging by hist strategies and his flying skills and maneuvers. He hints at that, and each time Vader says "Anakin Skywalker is dead", but it's prettty clear Thrawn knows different, despite the fact he never received verbal confirmation.
Even in the Canon Thrawn books, Thrawn had met Anakin during the Clone Wars and later served alongside Vader and put the pieces together. He actually kind of toyed with Vader, making little jabs at how he was so similar to someone he once knew.
I actually loved that Ezra's character was able to Force fight like Yoda, Yoda at times never even used his Lightsaber - force slapped Emperor around like a little boy on their last meeting. It would have been too much if all characters were doing lightsaber - I also think Ezra found peace within himself with his new friends, a bit like being a Buddhist - only defending himself when necessary. I have a feeling that they were setting up Baylons character to take his leave from the series - did they know that Ray was ill? possibly at this point and they had to start prepping for him to leave the show? I dont know, but if they dont explain what his character is up to in the next episode I would think that theory sound, unfortunately so, RIP Ray.
I do agree about this episode just being okay. It was mainly filler, and progressing the plot slightly forward, not what I would expect from the 2nd to last episode. I am having a hard time imagining that there is enough time left to properly conclude the season. Also, the enemies were kind of annoyingly bad at everything. The mines didn't destroy the whales or the ship (Then what is even the point of a mine field?). A fleet of ships couldn't take down Ahsoka's ship. The ring couldn't take down Ahsoka's ship (even with her coordinates). The nomads couldn't do any damage (and they were often attacking the Nottis, rather than Ezra. Also, why did they even care? They weren't part of the Empire.) The stormtroopers and Shin also could do nothing. Basically, very similar to the bad guys in Rebels, couldn't hit the side of a barn. 🤣🤣🤣
@Daury Davis Well, it is the good kind of filler (battles). 😄😄 I just wish we had about 3 more episodes. It feels like the last episode will need to be rushed.
That Senator that is causing all the problems, that is Senator Hamato Xiono. It is Kazuda Xiono, from Star Wars: Resistance's father. I don't know anything about him though. I feel like Kaz talked about it in Resistance. But it's been awhile since I saw that.
I bit of info for how earths governments are structured in this time period. As the theme of the film is how propaganda effects the view of the public on a global scale. The earth is ran by a global federation, there are no longer individual governments, ( US, China, Russia ...etc.). So to become a citizen you join the federal service. Basically citizens control most of earths corporate sector, and political arena.
This is a classic movie and watching your reaction's was hysterical,, check out lion heart, universal soldier and nowhere to run,, another 3 great Van Damme movies.
If you want more Ventress, read Dark Diciple. It was supposed to be a clone wars arc but got turned into a book instead. Ventress and Quinlan Vos are the main characters
The reaction to Huyang explaining Jason's abilities to Carson, just "ok". Literally everyone that didn't see Rebels. Also the "Mortise arc better then all of the sequel trilogy", true and real, sadly. I love the honesty. Hater's can't be reasoned with. You both always offer a pretty balanced take on character development. The fact Mortis is heavily referenced in this episode reminded me of how great that arc was.
The cow, and every other animal around is / was irradiated. Sad, but the soldier saved it allot of suffering. There was no fixing them, so they had to put them down. Merciful, but yes, horrible.
This episode is showing audiences who never saw Rebels why Thrawn is truly one of the greatest and most formidable villains in Star Wars history! This man never sweats, and learns as much from his defeats as his victories. And in the canon book Thrawn: Alliances we learned that he also fought and served alongside Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars AND when he became Darth Vader, he even managed to deduce that they were the same person, even though Thrawn never had any actual evidence, while neither Vader NOR The Emperor could read his mind with the Force! Also all Rebels fans know that if Chopper and that dick Senator Xiono were in that room alone, Chopper would kill him in a way that would make even the creators of Mortal Kombat sick to their stomachs.🤣🤣
21:01 Snow? In Indonesia?🤣 That scene always stuck me rather odd. One might think that it happen somewhere up north that have 4 seasons, but the stalls behind the car are written 'Lomie Ayam', mean Chicken Noodle in Indonesian.
Hi Guys!😊Baylan definitely knows what HIS fate is, and some of the things to come in the future. He seems to be implying both the Empire and the New Republic need to end, and something new needs to be formed. The New Republic is pretty lame as a whole. That whole can't we all just get along attitude just shows too much weakness. They are really setting them up for a fall in the future. That guy on the council in green is definitely First Order, New Order, or New Kids on the Block. Whatever the Empire is calling themselves these days. I agree the reunion scene with Ezra and Sabine seemed like they were only separated for 10 months. It was not well written IMO. Great reactions to episode seven, Anthony & Kacee!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
Try to remember that ezra was just a kid when he left the planet and he only won because of the force against thrawn who doesn't have it at all. so yeah he would be super weak in combat.
Baylan leaving Shin was dumb. There is no reason for it. Heck, we even have a phrase for it, "Always two there are." So this was the most idiotic choice ever made. Why? "uh... 'cause." Ok... Why?
The drunken soldier who shot SGT Grant in the head was actually caught trying to rape a local austrian girl in a hospital and the story is way more messed up than the show portrays.
Disney officially declared the Expanded Universe which was the Books, Games, and Comics made Pre-Disney as "Legends" which meant they were no longer canon to the films and Clone Wars the Animated Series. BUT here's the thing. The "EU" was never canon. This was George Lucas' official stance on the Expanded Universe. He always maintained it was a parallel universe to the films and he even ignored it in his sequel trilogy treatments he wrote.

This is such a fun movie to watch. There are 3-4 CG animated movies out there that I enjoyed watching as well. Rico turned out to be a real badass in those movies too.
I dont understand how the whole ezra sees sabine as a sister is stupid. Ezra had a teenage crush on her, but she never reciprocated in a romantic way... Sabine is her own character why does she need to be in a romantic relationship? If they where to start that sort of relationship it would be forced and predictable, cant a male and female character not just be friends?
The further they’re getting into this I feel there setting this up to be the prequel to a film. Also with Ezra, Kanan always told him having a lightsaber doesn’t make you a Jedi. Seems to have taken that to heart.
Fun fact: The actor the blew the head off of the other actor actually ended up getting married after this movie and had a few kids. Crazy how that works out.
